Thank you. When I was younger I was binging westerns starting with the early ones and was told I had to watch Tombstone. So I did. It was so mid compared to actual westerns. Sure it had some big stars but as a western it was pretty basic. Spaghetti westerns are the best.
Unforgiven is one of my favourite movies of all time. If I could change one thing about it I would change The Kid's actor, he is very clearly not a good performer. Regardless, it is still a top 10 kino for me.
I'm specifically talking about the scene where he talks about how he will never kill again. He just doesn't deliver that idea very well imo. He isn't a huge detriment to the movie though, I'd the describe it as "serviceable".
Unforgiven or Dances With Wolves. Tombstone is fun though.
I'm surprised no streaming service has had a shot at remaking Lonesome Dove. I guess it's probably impossible to luck out on the perfect casting the first adaptation had.
Tombstone is a dumb action flick posing as a western. But as long as you know that going in, it's enjoyable
Probably. Tombstone has a lot of great actors/performances to keep you watching. The film itself is OK.

>mid
Try using mediocre next time
upvoted
>hells coming with me
No. Westworld is the best western movie.
>Westworld
>90s
Don't you just hate getting a reply that has nothing to do with your post because the poster replying is an illiterate moron?
No, I don't. I like it.

I don't mind him. The kid is full of shit and badly acting out a hardass himself.

>Unforgiven
The right answer
It's actually Quigley Down Under.
>How is Tombstone?
Infinitely better than Unforgiven. Not even a competition.
i bet you like wyatt earp
Why was the Costner Wearp bad?
He was up his own ass after Dances and couldn't just make a normal western. It needes to be three hours of srs drama.
Thankfully that and waterworld bombing led to him making genuine Western kino again.
This and Tombstone sucked. They simply can't make westerns anymore
rise of Revisionist Westerns in the 60s/70s ruined the genre
Tombstone starts good, gets dumb by the end. Almost every plotline not involving Russell or Val Kilmer gets dropped or solved offscreen.
I found it disappointing with too much hamfisted symbolism, which I could forgive if it was the ultraviolent western I was expecting
>what if we took classic genre tropes... and SUBVERTED THEM
seriously tired of this shit
The quick and the dead is the best 90s Western
the only western made after the 70s that I genuinely enjoy
>Is this the best 90s western?
Not only the best 90`s but the best western in general.
The Tracker is from 2002 but I'd put it in contention
Unforgiven or Dances With Wolves. Tombstone is fun though.
