They didn't cut Warmachine the first time they had to fire a black actor. They'll just get another one again and maybe put in a throwaway line about how the new actor is the "real" Kang and Majors was an imperfect clone or some shit.
Marvel wasted all its potential replacement black actors on bit parts
Why else would most of their "big roles" land to either white people or light-skinned Asians?
It's not really fanservice when all those historical figures really were in one place at the same time. It's just history that just happens to be pretty cool.
Yes, but this is not the reason why. He's black, they'll quickly replace him with another actor. The reason why it's the end of the MCU is because they're running out of good stories.
No, the end of the MCU was them deciding in advance to make Kang their big villain and Quantumania their big gateway to the next Avengers movie, only to find out audiences didn’t care about Kang or the movie.
Removing or downplaying Kang is probably a relief to them by now, they just have nothing left except nostalgia cameos and you can’t run a franchise on that (a real franchise anyway… comics, maybe).
I'm not sure Doom could save the MCU. To most people a "big" comic book villain is no bigger than a small one.
That was the insight behind the MCU, that they could be successful with all the uncool comic characters whose rights hadn't been sold to other studios, because comic books have a tiny audience compared to movies.
Since there's no time for them to build up an actor as Doom the way they built up Thanos, my (based on nothing, probably wrong) speculation is they make the villain an evil version of a familiar character. If they could get Downey to come back as Evil Tony Stark they'd be saved.
>Since there's no time for them to build up an actor as Doom the way they built up Thanos
Take Kang Dynasty's slot and make a Doom origin story instead. Have Latveria be the old pre-war name for Sokovia, with Doom reviving it as his personal kingdom, raising it from the ashes after we've followed his journey to Doomhood. Bring in Zemo to at first challenge him before taking the pragmatic choice of getting himself hired, tying into Thunderbolts.
you know if they do that, they'll probably change the FF origin from cosmic rays to the MCU twins origin of infinity stone frickery.
they'd also probably make Doom into some kind of Ultron fanboy to explain his costume and how he can become his true Vision with his genius and sorcery. I really hope they don't do the sorcery bullshit with Doom but who knows.
If the MCU can pivot into FF territory correctly Doom shouldn't be the real ultimate villain regardless, it should be Annihilus. That way you can keep Doom around like Loki since they just love to kill off their villains.
>you know if they do that, they'll probably change the FF origin from cosmic rays to the MCU twins origin of infinity stone frickery.
It's possible. But They should probably just leave the Infinity stones in the past and press forward. Have the accident take place before everyone was blipped back, with the FF taking a modified Quinjet shuttle through a storm of cosmic rays instead of an experimental rocket. Make them a part of SWORD or something. >I really hope they don't do the sorcery bullshit with Doom but who knows.
I think they should, so he could be a threat to Doctor Strange, and be a true Avengers level threat. Without Tony, and unless they really hit it out of the park in establishing the FF, it's the path of least resistance. >Doom shouldn't be the real ultimate villain regardless, it should be Annihilus.
Doom can still be the ultimate villain and lose the overall conflict while still coming out ahead. Unfortunately, I don't think the current writers at Marvel have the chops for that.
>Could have done Triumph and Torment >Could have introduced Doom without the "Fantastic Four" baggage >The Snap timeskip as stupid as it is, provided the perfect gateway for Doom to seize his region of the world and never be talked about before >Could have given Strange a movie where he actually has to be Sorcerer supreme and deal with all it entails >Introduce Doom as an Anti Hero to endear him to the audience and get them to care >Then slowly have him being the one manipulating all the conflicts in the new phrase
Personally I'm saddened they didn't have the foresight to establish the Masters of Evil in the lead up to Endgame, would have made a proper Thunderbolts adaption a shoe-in in the immediate aftermath, give the nu-Avengers something to compete against.
they kills all their villains, all of them, they all get fricking murdered, there's no hero's in the MCU, there's no way to build up a villain team if they're all fricking dead
Those dumbasses got lucky with a few good creatives, now they have nothing. Should of had more of a plan besides the Infinity Saga...could of held that card a decade longer honestly, also RIP Bozo Kang.
I was legitimately trying to remember something to dispute you but you might actually be right. Frick. You see, man, this is why those arguments of "why don't the heroes just fricking murder the bad guys" because you run out of fricking stories that way.
Those dumbasses got lucky with a few good creatives, now they have nothing. Should of had more of a plan besides the Infinity Saga...could of held that card a decade longer honestly, also RIP Bozo Kang.
yup, and now they're down to the D listers for heroes and villains, and we all know the villains make the hero.
Doom only works if they write him well, put him in interesting stories, cast him the right way, and so on. What they'll do instead is write him like a catty redditor because the writer can only write themselves, they'll put him in MCU movies, and they'll cast another affirmative actor. It's not going to work.
MCU villains are awful
I don't want Doom, he would 100% end up like what Didney did to Thrawn
a character who is hyped up and written like a absolute brainlet but the writers want us to take him seriously. also Pablo Pascal is one of the shittiest Reed choices and I cant see him playing off any actor they choose for Doom at all
>Avengers break into Kang's hideout >Rocket Racoon is there >Explains Kang died taking a shit and the multiverse is saved >"It sure is a good thing too, or everything would have been DOOMED" >He turns to the audience and winks
>Loki: "You know, Kang, since we last crossed paths there's something different about you." >Deadpool looks at the camera without saying a word >movie continues as usual
Though to be fair, I don't know if even travelling back in time to get peak James Earl Jones to play him will change the audience's perception. Is there any other movie Kang is slated to appear?
>everyone going on about how they want Vicky von Dickweed
I fricking hate Doom and Doomgays >OMG!!!! HE'S THE BESTEST EVAR!!! HE HAS ALL THE POWERS AND KILLS GODS AND HIS PEOPLE LOVE HIM AND AND AND
Fricking worthless Villain Sue piece of shit jerked off by fanboys and fanboy writers
all it takes to revive the MCU would be bringing back RDJ as Iron Man. That's seriously it. People didn't get tired, they just wanted the characters they liked to stay.
No.
It'll probably delay the MCU garbage pipeline for a couple of months or years. But it'll be back, and only time will tell if it'll be worse or better than before. It'll be worse.
They are doing the muties next. The narcissistic holier-than-thou frick you normie I won the genetic lottery you should drop on your knees and WORSHIP ME but it's ok I forgive because it gives me moral superiority wait why are you killing us ree. This appeals to american liberals and My Dick.

The only people left are those who tend to think for themselves , and that's an extremely tiny minority.
Bring back Terrance Howard as Kang, say he was impersonating Rhodey and fricked with everyone's memory/perception so we could see the real Kang, but in-universe they couldn't.
Just let Terrance Howard be himself. He'll be less zesty, but the reality-bending math that Black person can do will make him best Kang.
Marvel's blind obsession with being politically correct & pandering to minorities (along with a terrible actor) has permanently cost them a legit interesting casting choice: imagine Keanu Reeves as Kang but more as a more reserved, cold, calculating, menacing threat that would be akin to playing Agent Smith in the Matrix (as a reverse homage of playing Neo).
A fallen time lord/messiah refusing to accept the loss of his wife (similar to the relationship between Mr. Freeze & Nora in BTAS) & forcing multiple Universes to collapse & feel his wrath as the heroes of said worlds are trying to prevent his wife resurrection plan from occurring.
Keanu Reeves (2006): "Grief changes shape, but it never ends. People have a misconception that you can deal with it and say, 'It's gone, and I'm better.' They're wrong. When the people you love are gone, you're alone.": https://www.papermag.com/jennifer-syme-keanu-reeves
Marvel signed him for a multi-movie deal. Does that mean they're buying him out, or is there a domestic abuse clause somewhere in the contract that renders it void?
It's not *the* end, but another roadside attraction on Disney's trip towards it. The string of misfortunes to hit this company feels karmic and otherworldly, as if some invisible hand had finished lining up dominoes and finally gave the first one a tap. Just like real dominoes, it's exciting to watch all this unfold.
The way Loki S2 ended, they're in a perfect position to replace Kang with the actress that played Ravonna Renslayer, and say that she's a variant of him. Narratively, it would be justified. It's just not a great move marketing wise and having her as the big bad of the next phase would likely be even worse than Majors.
Man they fricked themselves not just having Kang be a title for whoever is so egotistical they're insistant of being the 'leader' of everything. that or allowing their big bad to job against a self-admitted joke character
This time, baby
>I've done the math, there's no equation that works without me!
It's okay, nobody's been watching Phase 4 anyway so the average moviegoer has still barely even hear or Kang and has no idea that he's supposed to be the new Thanos.
Yes.
I wish but probably no.
They didn't cut Warmachine the first time they had to fire a black actor. They'll just get another one again and maybe put in a throwaway line about how the new actor is the "real" Kang and Majors was an imperfect clone or some shit.
Do they even need to? Dude showed up in 1 movie, which bombed. He also showed up in 1 show, where he fricking died.
Just don't mention Kang ever again and nobody gives a shit.
Terrence Howard to Don Cheadle
Ed Norton to Mark Ruffalo
William Hurt to Harrison Ford
Jonathan Majors to [ . . . ]
Jerry Minor
Terrance Howard
Tony Cox
Kevin Hart, if he's not Wolverine already.
Terry Crews
Marvel wasted all its potential replacement black actors on bit parts
Why else would most of their "big roles" land to either white people or light-skinned Asians?
Pissinon Minors
They should get the guy from Severance. He can go from friendly to professional to menacing at the drop of a hat.
how are they going to fit that hunky cake of his in a costume?
Will Smith
Harold Perrineau if he isn't playing John Stewart or Giancarlo Esposito.
All downgrades what the frick Disney.
Norton and Howard being recast both happened before the Disney buyout.
Recast Terrance Howard as Kang
We don't want to admit it but the MCU died when Oppenheimer beat Thanos in that one ERB video.
They still make ERB videos?
I only know because new ones get posted here sometimes
Yes but the actors are 40 now and it takes them a year to finish one episode
which is weird because Oppenheimer is pretty much an MCU movie but instead of super-hero fanservice it has scientific-and-historical-figure fanservice
It's not really fanservice when all those historical figures really were in one place at the same time. It's just history that just happens to be pretty cool.
Firing would imply Marvel is in production with any movie.
It's a problem but not one big enough to destroy it
MCU died when Captain America banged Death in front of Thanos.
If I was Thanos, I would've snapped twice.
You would erase 3/4 of the life in the universe
>snap infinitely
>it's never over
thanks zeno
Yes, but this is not the reason why. He's black, they'll quickly replace him with another actor. The reason why it's the end of the MCU is because they're running out of good stories.
We wuzn't
Well the memes are accurate. He really wuz Kang and shit.
We can only hope
D-do you think they will be put it if they Photoshop a big head over him the whole movie and call him Annihilus?
No, the end of the MCU was them deciding in advance to make Kang their big villain and Quantumania their big gateway to the next Avengers movie, only to find out audiences didn’t care about Kang or the movie.
Removing or downplaying Kang is probably a relief to them by now, they just have nothing left except nostalgia cameos and you can’t run a franchise on that (a real franchise anyway… comics, maybe).
It's probably a blessing in disguise. Now they would be forced to go with a superior villain or at least actor.
>He was actually Kang n shite
It's the end of my interest
>Is this the end of the MCU?
The opposite, this is their chance to win the public back with a villain people actually give a shit about
I'm not sure Doom could save the MCU. To most people a "big" comic book villain is no bigger than a small one.

yeah same, I'm really worried about the quality of writing when I'm voicing these shoulds and should nots for how to handle Doom.
Superior Iron Man here we come.

Hope not.

the MCU wouldn't be in this mess if they'd recast Black Panther
I don't know why they didn't it was sad the actor died but people would have understood a recast of one of their most important characters
>ANT-MAN: I've met Kang, you're not him.
