Unfamiliar with the game franchise, but the concept of a survival series isekai with people from different locations and time is very cool.
It's serviceable, but I think it depends if the lesbian MC doesn't annoy you. Her luck stats are very high. She has character growth moments though.
The series could also be described as "woke" with all the male characters being villains, and if they're good they die rather quickly, and wars of the past being compared to modern social activism where the MCs loved ones get injured etc.

Yes, and? Your 2nd statement actually supports the 1st. A creature's environment IS the deciding factor of evolution. Is she talking about specialization of traits? A creature isn't just going to develop the bare minimum. A snake is going to develop stronger poison, a bear is going to get bigger, etc. Because it helps them out-compete creatures in their own species.
The show treats the MC like a GENIUS for coming up with this, even though she said nothing new that Darwin didn't already use to come up with evolution. It just makes the writers look stupid.
There is a scene where 1940's dday man, after rescuing MC, being nothing but nice and respectful and asking about history, almost says he is surprised a woman is a leading scientist before in graphic detail he is shot through the throat with an arrow. The setup makes it look like it was meant as a joke. This sets the tone for the rest of the show. I mean fricks sake, yellow turban rebellion is shown as a rebellion against the chinese emperor and a heroic struggle instead of insane murder cultists.
I never played the game, but it bothered me they just kinda decided to not chase down the blue temple, even if they didn't have red gem. And they don't seem to really care that alien future tech is some part of their isekai island.

I've only watched episodes 1, 2, 3 and 6. They do the game dirty because the girl doesn't tame any dinos. She just randomly runs into them and from that point on, the dinos literally understand English. No training needed. In episode 2, too, they kill one of the bosses of the island, with fruit that was hanging off the walls. Do note that the bosses are the Apex predator of each biome, and this one died to fruit.
Then the actors, yikes the actors. Karl Urban appears in episode 1 as a Normandy soldier that got abducted mid-landing. He's a shredded gigachad that is already hunting for dinner while the MC goes PETA over every animal. But he dies immediately when he is shocked to discover women can be professors in the 21st century. I get that Karl Urban is generally a background actor, but what a waste.
Then either Gerald Butler or Russel Crowe, I admittedly can't tell them apart, one of them is some roman centurion who is the antagonist in the series. He's got okay screentime. The other, he's a narrator that has like 2 lines I think? A waste.
Kind of got very bored by episode 3 and so I skipped to the series finale. I saw no Vin Diesel. I checked the wiki and he's some rando. My understanding from the trailer was that Vin Diesel was the tribe leader and the series followed him, not some random lesbian, so I'd say they did the bigger actors dirty.
There was one that amused me though. "Elliot" Page is some blue haired lesbian that kills herself in episode 1. The irony when you trannify and then you can't get male roles because you don't sound like a man, or female roles because you don't look like one, and so your career is now limited to female VA work.
Also there is so much "muh lesbians" content compared to the dino content. It feels like a 80:20 ratio. Disastrous for a dino game.
So you have a automatic plasma bazooka rifle. Why the frick are the romans a danger anymore? Why not go full auto on the attacking dinos? They didn't know about ammo until after the fact, and that fricking indian just threw it away. Watch it just recharge now that strawman englishvillian has it.
You know what this cartoon show about a video game around crafting/survival/dinosaurs needs? Lesbian romances taking up a solid quarter of the run time. Also Aboriginal racial supremacist politics.
