There aren't really any mainstream rock bands remaining except for ones from 30-50 years ago that are still touring for their old fans. But in other genres, M83 did the soundtrack to Oblivion and it was amazing, and Daft Punk's soundtrack to Tron Legacy was great.
Some Italian dude thought it'd be a good idea to have Queen songs play throughout the film Metropolis and at the time that version was the most complete version of Metropolis so a lot of people watched it. The movie also had a terrible blue filter that ruined the many kino shots of Metropolis.
Frick yes. It's one of those movies that's both so-bad-it's-good and just genuinely good. I had a fricking blast watching it, it is amazing. Extremely fun and not talked about enough.
yes, great movie. pure 80's kino
this, although Highlander has the superior Queen soundtrack, Flash Gordon is much better
Brian May's wailing on his guitar during the theme song is inspired.
Any modern rock band able to do a soundtrack to a movie ?

List of (obscure?) movies with rock bands soundtracks? I'll start.
The Forbidden Zone - Oingo Boingo
Tom York from Blink 182 did the soundtrack to Suspiria, which I found quite good.
based moron
Coldplay
Princes of the Universe is better and Highlander in general is better, but the overall Flash Gordon soundtrack I would say is better.
I cry when they play Who Wants to Live Forever
>Connor, will you light a candle for me on my birthday?
>Ay love, ah will
I guess in terms of a "soundtrack" Flash Gordon is better. Highlander seems like a really long music video at times, which is also cool.
>Highlander seems like a really long music video
1984 Metropolis release with Queen soundtrack.
I'm 12 and what is this

It's fantastic.

based response. it's a fun movie.
That's like asking if The Beatles are worth listening to
So, no?
yikes. bad analogy
>I will now destroy a planet called "Earth"
>already has a button labeled earthquake
what did Ming mean by this?
moron.
that's not an answer
DINO DELAURENTIS
and since the original flash gordons inspired starwars, you can enjoy this remake
What are the best movies if i want to feel the 30s and 40s pulp, something that inspired Star Wars and Indiana Jones?
King Kong (1933)
Gunga Din
The Three Musketeers (1973)
King Solomon's Mines
Mark of Zorro
The Black Swan(1942)
And don't forget the sequel...
Yeah
>track down
Like how hard is it just to watch it ? You barely have to “track it down”
Its not on any streaming services which means its obscure

It's a very uneven movie, kinda bad in a fun way, but still at least worth a watch.
Some of the composite fx shots are YIKES territory.
That's half the point. It wasn't out to win any Academy Awards for special effects. It's a high budget low budget film. Campy and fun.
FLYING BLIND ON A ROCKET CYCLE??!
It's shit. People saying it's a good movie are contrarian homosexuals. Best thing is the Queen song
>muh contrarian bogeyman
cringe
filtered
>Both chicks are fairly hot
>The villain is hilarious racist stereotype
>Brian Blessed is shouty in it
What else could you want?
>tracking down
Do you not know how to torrent?
Kodi...

Flesh gordons better
>Flesh gordons better
Follow up with Alice in Wonderland (1976) with Krisine DeBell.
Bore worms? Do they....bore....into...her...ass?
Yep. For the soundtrack alone.
I still have yet to see this. If its available on bluray is it worth a purchase?
since I cant find it on any stream and I dont like torrenting old 60s/70s movies as the 480p quality sucks usually.
Yeah the remasters of it look great
