I watched like 5 eps but it feels like once you saw one ep you've seen em all. No urge to watch another ep.
I can't stand any show about rich fricks pretending to have problems.

      kek pretty much

It only gets good around Season 3. 1st seaway is pretty difficult to watch.

I thought so, the first two episodes seem... random. Like, people just start arguing over something but everyone talks at the same time.

S1 was a lot more naturalistic I like it

That’s my favorite episode. The way Larry says “JUDY JUDY JUDY” to the kid makes me laugh. It randomly pops into my head from time to time

Suzy's rant in that episode is one of the best.

I never buy situations where a guy as rich as Larry would be so cheap and aruge with people over small amounts of money. Why would a guy that rich care about someone not paying him back $20?

It’s the principle. Nobody likes welchers, skinflints or deadbeats. They’re right up there with motherfrickers.

but not "just some". the 20 you owe me. that you'd said we'd settle next time over drinks and you didn't and then asked for a beer again.

It's about respecting the agreements that two people have consented to. The impulse comes from lolbertarian autism; or from a right-wing obsession with order. Ironic, cause LD IRL is a Bernie-bro.

The amount is irrelevant. It isn't up to you to decide that you won't pay me back.

I've met two types of rich people, the "I'm so blessed to have 5 cars, 3 houses, a boat and make 10x your yearly salary on a bad day, here's a generous tip" and those that won't give away one penny, lowball tips, complain to get free shit, and generally nickle and dime every chance they get.

How do you think he got rich? You can't get rich if you don't care about money.

I'm pretty sure for Larry It's not about the money it's more the principle and respect over an agreement.

All the seasons past 2012 are just cash-grabs and free advertisement for hotels, restaurants and golf courses. Enjoy the early stuff and drop out whenever you feel like the extras are starting to do "the curb voice". Once you notice "the curb voice" the magic is dropped.

Although, will admit, what I've seen of the last 4 seasons does have its highlights. But I really just don't want to watch the same old shit anymore.

recently binged seasons 1-6, funny show but i started to suffer israelite fatigue and tapped out

  12. 2 years ago

yeah, it's not laugh out loud funny for most of the episodes but there are some parts that are gold
the show is written by israelites; all the main characters are israeli, and it low key makes fun of some aspects of judaism
every episode is super formulaic but it just works, it doesn't get old like you'd think it would

susie gets me diamonds in spite of her abrasive personality

Apparently a lot of people find it funny but I didn't at all. I like dry humor I like dirty jokes but this was like watching an old boomer who's full of himself and thinks everyone should see him as the high schooler he thinks he still is and there's already enough of that in real life.
Like I might have found it funny and thought I was smart for watching it when I was 12.

all i see is projection in this post, somehow
nobody thinks they're smart for watching it
and it's about a dumb israelite boomer who's an butthole
