If you want to watch Ultraman yeah.
Is it good THOUGH
Yeah
Yes
Yeh
/m/ is a manchild board if you havent noticed
Ultraman isn't mecha, moron
/m/ is a toy commercial board
/m/ is the general sci-fi media board, and is host to the Ultraman general, /m78/.
Well I don't know. They release one show every year so it's like an unreasonable amount of things to watch and this genre has better things to offer.
its good but ultra Q & ultra 7 are better
Just watch every show Akio Jissoji is in. Your good after that.
why hasn't japan made an ultraman type show but with large breasted giant alien robot woman hero?
Mighty Lady is the only one I’m aware of
Probably because loads of porn like that already exists.
Frick yes it is. You get a mini-Godzilla movie every episode and it's from the very man who did the SFX work for a lot of Showa era Godzilla at that. Start with the original series and then just go forward. Show gets crazier and better as it goes.
Yes
KINO
Ultraman and Ultraseven are the two best pieces of media directly aimed at children, I have yet to watch any other "children's show" that both respect and understand it's audience like those two shows.
ojamajo doremi
imo ultraman jack and ultra q is better than series 1 ultraman, but series 1 probably has the best side characters
ultraseven is magnificent though
yes, very comfy and fun show
not really
it's nice to talk about casually, and even to watch a couple of episodes
but it doesn't have enough quality or originality to sustain nearly half a century of continued series
It's kind of like Gundam in that respect. 100 series all repeating the same shit
Kamen Rider is better and even that has trouble keeping it fresh
All of these toku and toku adjacent show are peak autismo entertainment.
Supremely repetitive, a near infinite amount if installments and sequels one can stim recalling and arguing about. Same amount of items, outfits, characters and various memorabilia to keep track of and so on...
70s/80s japanese tv show are a treasure trove for stuff like this.
>Supremely repetitive
every episode is quite interesting
Yes, it's amazing and so good it btfos a lot of other toku to the point its unenjoyable.
Start with the first series, or if you can't into 60s stuff try out Tiga or Max.
Anything after 1990 looks like horrid trash. As soon as they switched over to video it immediately looked like a cheap fan film.
And digital somehow made it look even worse than that. Like there's a $100 budget for each episode. No lighting, no crew, someone's cousin is editing. Just horrid trash.
for me its clash city
I still have that entire set and all the figures in great shape. That and Jurassic Park were my favorite toy lines as a kind. It's one of my most personal prized item I own.
I had this and the Majaba figure because both were on clearance at Kay Bee. I had no idea what Ultraman was but I played with the set to death
How come the Ultraman spinoffs don't have subs?
K I N O
COSMOS
IT'S ALRIGHT
I swear the only people that thought that piece of shit Shin was any good are morons that have never seen an Ultra in their lives.
But how? Shin Ultraman is full of references to the OG
>making Zoffy the villain
>making him an EVA Angel
Frick off with that shit. NGE and Shin Godzilla are good, but Anno shat on Ultraman and Kamen Rider.
I didn't like how Zarab looked hollow either.
Referencing something doesn't mean you understand it
The whole idea of Ultraman giving humanity some super epic cheat code to win completely goes against the series
My boomer dad somehow knew about this in Canada
Bought me the dvds when they came out and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed them
Think I’ll break them out again for some kino soon.
Having only seen the first Ultraman, and 2/3 of Gridman, I can say yes.
Everything up to and including Ginga is great.
Super 8 Ultra Brothers was kino of the highest order
