The last good cartoon was Star Vs. which was released in 2015 and even that was rare gem for its time. Cartoons in general haven't been good since the early 2010s.

Cartoons are always the first thing cancelled for budget reasons by every studio, and 2023 really fricked the bottom line of every studio. They are not going to greenlight much until they feel more financially secure and that will take a few years. On top of that, greenlighting anything today is still not going to appear on anyone's screen until at least two, but normally three years from now.
Until then you are going to deal with remakes, cheap extensions of current shows, and not much else.

It's easy to think that when all the shows that were on in 2019, are still on today. Everything is so stagnant now it's impossible to tell that 2016 was nearly a decade ago. All the same faces are still in the same places and not much has changed.
