Yes, I went to a comic con panel with Larry Houston and the Lewalds and they talked about it. They seem happy that's it's happening and Disney hired Houston to design the intro
I remember the last few MCU toys came out months before the movies, and by the time the movies did release the toys were all on clearance. For some reason disney ships the toys out like 6-8 months early, they sell terribly since there is no movie to be excited over, and by the time the movie does appear the toys are long gone for not selling well.

Exactly. The cartoon exists to advertise the toys. That’s been the case for decades. Why release them now with nothing to advertise them?
Covid is still fricking schedules, also Disney doesn't play ball with telling licensors anything about releases. Spider-man No Way home also has a lot of bullshit where the licensors weren't told about the other Spider-men until after the movie.
$20+ toys marketed only to adults who remember the good ol' days from 30 years ago is not a great marketing scheme. It's kind of a small minority of buyers here.
Why are toys not marketed to kids much at all anymore? I really can't believe every toy company out there decided that lonely 40 somethings are a much nicer more profitable market than every child
>Why are toys not marketed to kids much at all anymore?
Most toys and toy marketing is for kids. There's more "kids" MCU toys than there are Marvel Legends of them.
Problem is they're mostly shitty. Kids aren't dumb, they recognize the shoveled, cheap toys like those big $10 figures with 5 Points of Articulation. But decent figures likeMarvel Legends are $25 now, not impulse buys like they used to be 15 years ago.
>Problem is they're mostly shitty.
I was wondering if the problem was with me, or maybe my country. I see some decent enough DC figures, sometimes at a decent-ish prince, but they can't even move their fricking legs.
Hell the bootleg 4' Avengers I buy on magazine stands at a decent price could be a decent bet, but no, they keep pushing either those huge, expensive Marvel figures or half-assed DC ones in actual stores.
i think Larry Houston had said that if he was gonna get a new voice for Apocalypse, he wanted to get David Sobolov (Depth Charge in Beast Wars and Kaido in One Piece) to take over.
dude source
because if so, i'm not watching. and neither should any of you.
specifically need source saying she was rejected for that, not that she wasn't available.

oh thats cool.
>Disney hired Houston to design the intro
If they dont use the original song I'm not even going to bother with this show.
They probably won't since Disney would have to pay Shuki Levy.
They used the theme in Ms. Marvel and Multiverse of Madness already.
And probably had to pay to use that.
it must be, since they will never make it in the MCU and you know it
Things aren’t going well
The nostalgia toys aren’t selling
Most of the new MLs are inferior to the existing ones. Gambit is on par with the previous, only Rogue and Wolverine are outright improvements.
i have 3 rogues already is the new one worth getting for real?
Maybe selling overpriced toys to adults might not have been the best idea.
It's the best Wolverine on the market right now
There's a cool enough 4-inch line, but looks kinda expensive.
>launch the toys before the show
>before a trailer
morons.
This shit has been going on for a while now.

The other half of the time the toys come out months to a year after the movie. No Way Home is only just now getting a proper wave.
Geez, chinese/russian bootlegs have been around since forever

It's Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors forevevr.

No its the Strikes. Thats why Disney is releasing DTV pixar movies in theaters next year
I don't even remember Bishop being in the show
He was, and it was mullets bishop
Ah no wonder I dint recognize him he looks very different with a mullet.

Kids don't care about toys. They want phones.
It's this
parents started giving kids iPad instead of action figures wtf do they expect
Anon you asked this knowing the answer
Before that, video games were murdering toys iirc

They could’ve made a high-profile X-Men game to tie in with the show AND the toys. Have them all release around the same time.
Do young boys even play with action figures anymore?
Their loss is my gain. Snagged Wolverine and Gambit for dirt cheap today. Hoping to find Storm and Magneto at the other Target in town.
those look pretty good
didn't their Bishop have his long hair though?
Not really. Disney might have cancelled it after the Marvels flopped.
Nobody cares for that show
Is it going to be hand drawn or CG with cel shading pulling off the Spiderverse technique?
Weird how we’ve gotten merch and even variant covers before a second of footage.
They're getting all the voice actors that are still alive to reprise their roles so I'm interested
Who are no longer with us? Cyclops, Rogue and Wolverine are the only ones that matter to me.
>Who are no longer with us? Cyclops, Rogue and Wolverine are the only ones that matter to me.
Cyclops, Apocalypse, Sabretooth, I think Magneto too.
Bummer. I did forget we lost Apocalypse

Except Jubilee because of the race voice casting meme.

nvm found it
she's not technically fired but she's moved to someone else
not watching. reprehensible.
Based as frick
Can't wait for more Storm episodes
Unfortunately
