No, in a lab there is more happening then spinning DNA molecules and some blue liquid dripping into a flask while some butthole stares intently at it from 6 inches back
lab work is fricking boring as hell, I say that as someone who is a trained bio-tech, doing shit like PCR tests...even when i did cloning of bacteria in school, its mostly just boring, annoying and being incredibly careful as any frick up ruins hours of work and your sample.
Now I manage a website. And I spend most of my time dicking around here....I dunno how that is portrayed in the media, but probably similarly.
I'm a heart surgeon and I refuse to watch anything about doctors. Every med movie/series is cringe. And most doctors are annoying and don't deserve to be worshipped in media
No you arent, no heart surgeon is sitting on Cinemaphile. If you want to argue with me, please post proof.
sure, then post proof. It is absolutely a popular website, but be a heart surgeon is pretty intense work, and the few i have known (i don't know more then...well, 1...) but they didn't use even Reddit.
I'm a computer programmer. An accurate depiction of my job would be largely just shots of me sitting silently staring at the computer screen and occasionally typing, occasionally going to get some food or jerking off, then staring at the screen some more, and occasionally I would have a Zoom meeting or go to the office and talk to my coworkers in language that is largely made up of jargon and highly context-specific references that almost all non-programmers would not understand the least bit of.

Musicians are never well represented in music, it's always too romantic with a lot of drama. In reality, musicians just stay inside listening/practicing and forcing themselves to socialize in order to get gigs.
Being musician is fricking garbage 99% of the time. Then occasionally you get to play in front of people who legit appreciate what you are doing, and then it's a lot of fun. Also depends on what kind of musician. I played in a alternative band in the mid to late 2010's in toronto, we weren't BIG, but we got paid, and it was a lot of fun watching the cute girls dancing in front of you.
But unless you had money? They tended to go home with other dudes. That said, being a musiciasn DOES get you laid, but it just might not be at EVERY gig.
The bit in Spinal Tap when they're at Elvis's grave and all start harmonising out of key is the closest I've seen to what 99% of band rehearsal is like
I tutored rich kids in Korea so yes first half of parasite is very much true, then it becomes a fantasy story, but then at the end again is also possible where new foreigners are clueless to the history of something that scares locals away. It's kinda like how houses in Japan where people died will never sell, but foreigners will snatch those right up.
I have worked many jobs but don't know any movies about them, so if I can mention hobbies. Anything about art/music/dance programs is true except the people are all too nice in movies. In fact you just get insulted nonstop and everyone is competing with you and everyone is jealous of each other. And in sports movies they turn down the lights for dramatic effects but a competition would never be that dark, only a gala. It's quite annoying.
IT guy but I've no idea as I've been winging it for over 20 years. Only today I was in bed asleep when I should of been 100 miles away installing network points.
Hi. I'm the son of god and that is not how it happen... The truth is i killed a kid by pushing him from the roof and my mother is not a saint.
My father allowedmany religions because he can't love you all
Working (lobbying) for an international NGO that many people hate. Started as an intern there and it was comparable to some scenes of „suits“ and „how to get away with murder“ in the sense that you needed to get shit done fast and explain yourself to friends and family why you have no time for them. Now it is closer to „house of cards“ because I interact with a lot politicians
I've literally never seen my profession depicted in media
Nonsense it's depicted right here. Though can it really be considered a profession if you do it for free?
i'm 31 and have never had a job
That’s pretty embarrassing
you're
Yikes
Because you are disabled or because you have managed to job the system?
>job the system

when I heard of biotech I always thought of shit like tissue regeneration, cloning, some cure research or whatever
I did cloning. other then that it was mostly general testing, and some work for/with grad students.
and i should make it clear, most "cloning" is super boring and you are cloning bacterial DNA or something.
3d modeller. Haven't seen one. Mostly it's scanned image of houses in heists.
Welder here everyone thinks we're raging homosexuals
Welder here, we are all raging homosexuals.
Well, the meth use fits. Have you ever destroyed a hotel room with plastic wrap and KY?
yes
What job is the guy in the reflective west supposed to have?

Clearly he is a underpaid loser, duh.

It's an extremely popular website and just about anyone knows of it lol
You killed someone
sure, then post proof. It is absolutely a popular website, but be a heart surgeon is pretty intense work, and the few i have known (i don't know more then...well, 1...) but they didn't use even Reddit.

Too bad they make you sign agreement.

True. Also add giving classes to people that don't want to practice and distancing yourself from your family.

My experience in architecture has been different.

The one time I have seen my profession portraied in media, he was a crack addict.
