The conversation always makes me burst out laughing. >Is there a man in that couch? >Ha ha! What are you saying? A man in a couch? That's absurd! >No, I believe there's a man in that couch right there! >There is no man! There's no man! Say something things about Frank Reynolds, say them loud, and make sure they're horrible horrible things, then we'll deal with the man in the couch! >Okay, so there is a man in the couch! >All right, just call Frank Reynolds an butthole! >Who is Frank Reynolds? >He's the man in the couch!
The Ireland season felt like it was completely run by interns and amateurs, I guess either they were busy with other projects during it or looked at how badly it went and decided to take full control again
Was it affected by the writer's strike? Maybe the cast did all the writing themselves instead of having a room full of israelites, foids and diversity hires coming up with garbage.
What are you talking about? The episode where Dennis loses it was the only good episode. Even that didn't feel like Sunny because none of the rest of the cast was there.
Frank finding out they have had a second room and a working bathroom the entire time is probably one of the best moments of the show ever >what the frick is this, charlie?
I also have a fondness of the OG season. But don't blame DeVito for the downfall of the show. He quite literally shows up drunk to set, says his lines, and goes home.
The show jumped the shark and stopped being sunny when they did the gay dance and frank "got it"
Every single time something was serious on the show, they deflated it by turning it into a joke at the last second. Not that time. That time it was an earnest attempt at showing a "serious" (lol) topic and that's why the show got bad. It lost its spirit. It could have remained sunny, if they had done the scene exactly as it was, then cut to the REAL version of it where mac fricked up the dance and it looked stupid and moronic, then he gets laughed at by the prisoners and called a homosexual and stuff. THAT'S sunny. Not being earnest. The show became sunny again in the recent season where they somewhat realized this mistake and went back on the dance to an extent. Frank said >that's it. I'm out. I don't get it. The dance didn't say anything about no anal beads
Hopefully sunny is on the up again
>The show jumped the shark and stopped being sunny when they did the gay dance and frank "got it"
The episode works if you see it as a meta of "the gang desperately tries to win an award"
-'s still good
true
it stopped being good after season 9 you know this you're just farming (You)'s
Insists on itself
I always lose it to that couch scene in the Christmas special.
I watch that episode every Christmas and I laugh my ass off when DeVito bursts out of that couch naked.

this is one of those shows i should watch but have never watched
Ive seen bits here and there, but does it hold up in full episodes?
Yes
Yes, IASIP predates Tiktok so it isn't formatted to have 12 great seconds to be looped over and over while the rest is garbage
It's good until about S10. Then there are some good episodes, but they get fewer and farther between
Last season was great for the most part, felt like classic sunny for the most part, what did they do to their writer's room?

It's probably that dumb b***h that ruins the podcast.

I'd pitch Gang goes bowling, gang inflates, Frank vs Russia, Risk E Rat against half of the classic episodes easily.
And even if you think new sunny isnt up to par with old sunny its still head and shoulders above any other show currently airing.
Frank finding out they have had a second room and a working bathroom the entire time is probably one of the best moments of the show ever
>what the frick is this, charlie?
Them watching through old episodes for the podcast helped them remember what made the show good in the first place
annoying show for alt-normies
Danny Devito ruined the show
It was good before he appeared
I also have a fondness of the OG season. But don't blame DeVito for the downfall of the show. He quite literally shows up drunk to set, says his lines, and goes home.
someone had to say it
YES! Thank you.
DeVito has been the only good part of the show for the last few seasons.

early sunny is maximum comfy
for me, when Mac crashes the car to fake his and Charlie's death
Reminder that its important to pack on mass.
