Yeah, this. It's a damn comic book movie. Is it a good movie? No, it's a comic book movie. They're big dumb popcorn flicks and if they weren't they would be worse.
lmao. That which I love only dies when it becomes pretentious and tries to take itself seriously and win awards. If the thing I love has to transform in order to survive, I'd RATHER it be dead. I want it dead.

Lucky.
What I love dies when it tries to get diverse or boring morons self insert into it.
That happens a lot more often than your thing about something tryharding for awards.
I'd say most recent thing for my thing is the 40k emperor of mankind, with Dan Abnett's 5 self inserts handholding him the entire final arc. The man was been lowered down to moron just so that the OC self inserts get a spotlight.

Some creators have the good sense to quit while they're ahead.
I agree, it's absolutely overrated in the way the people think it's not a silly blockbuster with a dumb plot(they saved the day with a fricking time machine, you can't possibly make anything lazier than that) but it was never supposed to be anything but that, the MCU is the Dragonball of movies, and just like dragonball editor Kazuhiko Torishima said, it's fun because it's dumb and if it wasn't dumb it wouldn't be as fun.
There's nothing more to do with his Iron Man's character
Thor could have potentially gone places, but they turned him into a bumbling moron
Cap should and will stay dead
Based RDJ getting handed an Oscar then going back to capeshit anyway.
I hope he continues to win bigly and wins another for no reason if not for reprising his role in Iron Man.
Do you think Disney would fork over a literal billion dollars to get him back? Any movie with him returning is guaranteed to make over a billion at the box office, so they might consider it.
I'd say they'd only do it/it'd only be worth it if they can actually think of anything substantial to do with his character. The older MCU is all but killed off and there's differing opinions on that but ultimately I think it's gone to far to bring anyone back in a way that's worth it but not cheap. He'd have to show up as some kind of alt universe big bad or something.
>Never bet against Kevin >The guy who got hard carried by Perlmutter and when he is fully by himself he completely shits the bed
Uh yeah sure he is... More like Kevin FRICKIE
His only mistake was underestimating the effectiveness of the psyops. Those movies fricking sucked and they've been operating under the presumption they could get away with similar quality ever since.

Yep. He's coming back. Marvel is desperate enough to do it now. Could've easily avoided the disaster that was phase 4 & 5 if they looked at how they ruined Star Wars. If you make too many crap movies and tv shows in a row eventually even the diehards will check out. Brand recognition can only take you so far. You've got to give them a quality product or at least something that appeals to mass audiences.
It should have ended with Endgame
Maybe if Endgame wasn't a totally non-sensical story with contrived 'epic moment' bullshit.
No it still should have ended there. It needs to be over.

Batman > The Dark Knight
it's because of idiots like you that the bar keeps getting lowered every year. congrats on killing that which you love

deeceecuck stop being salty only because you lost every battle and the war
>Batman > The Dark Knight
Which Batman's?

anyone who uses the term "overrated" in any capacity should be shot
It was ass.
>he liked the msheu scene with all the women standing together
All the more reason to end it there.
>totally non-sensical story with contrived 'epic moment' bullshit
Sounds like perfect Marvel
Should have ended before Civil War, while they were mostly winning.
And that's how the MCU dies.
Yeah. At this point I'd settle for ending at Infinity War.
>Settle
It's a darker downer ending but infinity War was easily better than Endgame in just about every regard, imo.
Endgame sucked, absolutely awful ending
It should have ended with Infinity War. It was the last good film and it would have been amazing to actually end the MCU on the villain winning.
Didn't it?
There's nothing more to do with his Iron Man's character
Thor could have potentially gone places, but they turned him into a bumbling moron

Has RDJ been in anything of note after Endgame?
He just won an Academy Award for Oppenheimer.
I liked the movie but his performance was over the top, it screamed GIVE ME AN OSCAR
and it worked
Mark Ruffalo was robbed.
Oppenheimer
It'll probably be multiverse shit so as to not cheapen the original's sacrifice. The MCU was finished after Endgame though.
Or you could say he had some Extremis in his blood that brought him back to life.
good for him. it's fricking impossible to say that marvel didn't have a hand in his comeback.
but the Iron Man story is over, the only thing he can come back to is Secret Wars and punch Dafoe in his goblin face.

RDJ is doing the Nicholas Cage route. He got his Oscar and now he's going to get paid, a lot. For a long time.

Okay, check you brain, I think it is full of rot.
Perlmutter didn't want to make two movies that ended up grossing a billion each.
His only mistake was underestimating the effectiveness of the psyops. Those movies fricking sucked and they've been operating under the presumption they could get away with similar quality ever since.
Kirk Lazarus/Lincoln Osiris is RDJ's best performance as an actor.
weird, i assumed they killed him off because he asked to. Like he was done, and didn't wanna be doing this forever as he got old and gray
... did they just kill off a bunch of white males?

What people recognise the brand for changes to expecting shit.
Streaming isn't profitable so they're spending shit tons of movie and getting nothing in return.
>movie
money
Tony is long dead
Arno Stark (played by RDJ) is the new Iron Man
