All the years I've been watching the cup, the one thing I always wanted was for /m/ to finally get a star. Never stopped hoping for it, now it's here. Congratulations guys, you truly deserve it
Apologies to the OP of the thread but I'm hijacking it.
After 11 years of torment, we finally did it! GoldTiger's dream was finally made reality! It's all thanks to you! You put up with our bullshit for years. We honestly should've been sacked many times over, but you put up with us and we're eternally grateful for that! You are what makes this team tick and we cannot be prouder to finally do this for you!
What does this mean now? Well, we appreciate all the logos being tossed around. I'm partial to Simon's glasses being added to the logo. but there have been some others. I think things are leaning towards Simon's glasses but the Council will debate this. There may be a poll.
I said it in the first thread and I'll say it again here.
REDE/m/PTION FOR THAT BABBY GAME
Congratulations, /m/! You've won the gold on the biggest stage of all, the one that started it all, the Summer Cup. You guys stepped it up in an enormous way and created and managed a great team.
Getter is better read before watched. Mecha is a broad enough genre that it's hard to give good recommendations without knowing your tastes, but Getter or Patlabor are both series I'd recommend.
Just watch Getter Robo Armageddon. Yes it has a million reference to other Getter stuff but it's also probably the most complete experience that doesn't involve watching 70 episodes of something or reading the manga.
No, G Gundam came out in 1994 and is a martial arts tournament series with an amazing set of final nine episodes. G-Reco is short for Gundam Reconguista in G from 2014, very comedic hard sci-fi series.
Alright, as for a real question, is Space Pirate Capitain Harlock a good point to start watching mecha? I'm curious about it but I don't know if I should watch something before waching it or not
It's a great show but it's only kinda /m/, it's one of those >battleships aren't /m/ >but Space Battleship Yamato is
things. I absolutely recommend watching it but I don't know if I'd call it a good starting point because most mecha shows aren't like it.
>there has to be more of them than grunt mechs at this point
That would be true if Zeon wasn't obsessed with 'wonder weapons', aquatic robots and HIGH MOBILITY TYPES
[...]
Eeeeeh, I mean, it's a good show but not exactly a typical /m/ show.
It's not like I have never watched anything mecha related before, it's just more general anime stuff like Gurren Lagann, Evangelion and at least one Gundam OVA that I watched without any context whatsoever, it was fun, but I see your point
Depends, do you like late 70s anime? If not, probably not your cup of tea. You'd be surprised how the art style and number of episodes filters a lot of people. It's not a 13 episode season or even 26 episodes, but 42. I will commend you for trying it through. Ultimately, I would recommend a series from a time period you like and with a good number of episodes. I have to be a gundam gay, but Mobile Suit Gundam: 0080 War in the Pocket is a great starting point because it's only six episodes long and you don't need to know a lot about Gundam to enjoy it. Don't only stick to gundam though, there's a world of other mecha shows out there for everyone. Only watching one franchise is like only playing Call of Duty Games, you miss out on a lot of other good stuff.

Lore explanation: Different suits do different things better than others, and as time goes on, you get better parts. Same reason why we use stealth jets and not biplanes. Plus, not all gundam series are within the same "universe." Some series, like Gundam Seed, have a gundam for each of the main characters and a few minor characters.
Real-life explaination: Merchandising. New model kits, new t shirts, new posters, et.
I don't mind older anime, nor bigger series, if it hooks me I end up watching the whole way trough in one way or another, but I will look into Gundam 0080
Captain Harlock is /m/ adjacent, being a space opera, but not truly /m/. The series is very old and has a, shall we say, leisurely pacing, and is almost totally episodic. Some other anon is going to yell at me, if you want to get into Harlock, I'd recommend starting with Arcadia of my Youth, the big movie. It captures the heart of what Harlock is about so well, and with much more elegance, budget, and style then the old TV series. The romantic hero who will never abandon a friend, never abandon a promise made, never surrender. Harlock is a throwback to 19th cen. literature and in a way, political movements of the 19th century too.
For getting into mecha, I would recommend most popular, non Gundam shows of the 90s and 2000s. Big O, NGE, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, and as an exception, G Gundam. Gundam shows can be a little talky and can feel a little paint by the numbers, or in the case of Tomino directed Gundam, seemingly dull but interestingly written but also a little bat shit insane. G Gundam is a fantastic martial arts and battle tournament show, with a number of other elements to it, which is why I can more heartily recommend it to a newcomer. Domon is instantly likable, and the cast he gathers around him are all likable. Gundam Unicorn is also something of an exception to this, but unlike G Gundam, it requires background knowledge of the Universal Century timeline, so it's up to you if you want read a brief synopsis of OG Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and Char's Counterattack, and then jump into Unicorn.
Then I'll look into the movie first and the series later, and also G Gundam, the premise intrigues me
Alright, thank you for the suggestions my good /m/en, you guys have a nice board, hope to face you guys on winter

why are there so many super sekrit prototype gendums
there has to be more of them than grunt mechs at this point

Yeah, while I think Zeta is the pinnacle of Gundam, I would never tell someone to watch that as their first Gundam. That is not a beginner's show, it's clear Tomino expected everyone to have already watched the original series when it aired.
>why are there so many super sekrit prototype gendums
Because they need something to sell models for that exclusively came from the OVA.
That being said, the Ground-Type Gundams in 08th MS Team are just enhanced GMs that can't even operate in space.
>there has to be more of them than grunt mechs at this point
That would be true if Zeon wasn't obsessed with 'wonder weapons', aquatic robots and HIGH MOBILITY TYPES

Eeeeeh, I mean, it's a good show but not exactly a typical /m/ show.
The Unicron Gundam gained a will of its own and now goes back in time, putting Gundam schematics (and others, to spice things up) at certain critical points in history just for the fun of it.
So now that we're finally back, is there any chance that we can get some more full-body models for characters again like Alteisen has? I know a few dudes like Gundam and Scopedog have a few bits on them besides their head but I feel at least Mazinger deserves a full body model, maybe Shin Getter too but the shoulders might get in the way of shit (Then again every other team has some ungodly huge model that blocks the ball anyway)
We will explore trying to resotre some models. I think the reason we downgraded was the Version of PES we move to needed a lot of coercing to accept FBM and we didn't want to pull BA out of retirement give him a monumental task like that. Now that we're back on older PES games, we'll try to make this happen.
Also I'd like to upgrade our home kits from to the armed Tyrannorager look (which is a holdover from our 10th anniversary kits concept) so if anyone knows where to find a model, let us know!
Not exactly. It was a concept in, "It was said, but never acted on." I can see if someone can hit me with the /m/ kit image if you wanna mess around with it.
Also, because I forgot to as this morning, How's /m/ City feeling? Has it set in yet?
It's still a bit unreal. From barely getting back to the elites to barely squeaking out of our group. We got a brief reprieve in our match against /wsg/ but then it was so close the entire rest of the way to the top. From /t/'s fearsome boarding party to Shinji preventing /d/'s third impact to bring that match to extra time.
And then the final, Captain Meido was a solid wall that whole match. Then Kira almost sunk an own goal due to a bad clearance that lead to Get Out of /jp/ scoring on us... I thought it was all over then.
But then the /m/iracle run came to fruition as we scored three goals in the last ten minutes.
I'm gonna be riding this high for a while still. It was a great run, hopefully we can make another deep run come Winter
I still don't believe it. After losing almost all hope, and skipping the first cup in four years, we finally win something. I'm actually kind of pissed that the team decided to win the one cup I wasn't watching. I'm glad that Boris is gone, hope the door hits you on the way out, you insufferable homosexual.
>armed Tyrannorager
There was a model here but it was set to private... https://www.deviantart.com/zeltrax987/art/MMD-NC-Armored-MMPR-Red-aka-Armed-TyrannoRanger-335974536

I can't wait for the future, and to be even more arrogant about big robots
I didnt follow it live, so i expected the game to go to extra time when it was 1-1. I didnt expect all the 3 goals to come from the last 10 min. The tactical change work perfecrly.
I remember one guy angry that there isn't a Mazinger part in the emblem. I wonder how we could fit a rocket punch, or maybe even a Pilder somewhere in the symbol, but I can't quite put a finger on where
Normally we use google forms for polls such as these. However, we've ended up with 15 different variations of the different logo submissions. So, we're going to have to use an alternative poll service for this. It may have to be >strawpoll
I've been conversing with a bigwig is AESCO and goolge forms gets too cluttered. Plus the format will be ranked choice so we can use their tools to tabulate a winner. Current plan is to load all the logos to the wiki and have a separate strawpoll for them
I'm flattered that you think I'm part of the /m/anagement, but in reality I just really, really hate Cinemaphile and Cinemaphile. Like a lot. Seriously. Also better them than offboard tourists.
To be fair, when the Council is comprise of mostly Europeans and one American who works at night, there's a lot of disconnects. Also I'm on vacation so I'm prone to getting dragged out during prime working hours.
Anyway! The poll is finally live! To make this work however, we've created a gallery of the final contestants for this poll! Keep that up as you make your choices. This'll be Ranked Choice to make sure we get the fairest assessment!
Make the Winter Cup intro out of Muv-Luv Alternative intro. Just have it take place the day after the finals in the stadium. Alteisen and maybe Getter or Mazinger doing infiltration.
>I don't even know what this cup looked like before it got rigged >GIGANT SKULL instead of HUYMAN BRAINS
Nah, use the 2nd G Gundam OP and lean into the cup as the Gundam Fight >/m/ as Neo Japan obviously >Shuffle Alliance can be either made up of fitting teams (ie: Cinemaphile as Neo America, /vst/ as Neo France, etc) or do the FLGS thing with /tg/ and /toy/ if they make it out of the Babbies (Along with Cinemaphile and one other team (/vr/?)) >Master Asia is /mlp/, Schwarz is /misc/ >Sou as Ulube >Other teams in the elites as the other Gundam Fighters >/d/ as the /d/evil Gundam
I just can't think of what to use for Allenby at the moment
I've supported /m/ since I found out about the cup in 2015. Ride or die because /m/ is my board. I gave the council and some of you homos a lot of shit after the spring babby. A lot of shit. And they deserved it. I started learning more about PES and signed up to help with a VGL team to be able to help out my board in the future because I didn't want to feel the way I did at that time. But right now I will give the council praise. Because they also deserve it. Not for winning >le coin flip, but for pulling their heads out of their asses and proving they also care about our board. They listened. They made changes. They fricking finally set celebrations. So good job you sons-of-bitches. Congratulations on some well-deserved success. Enjoy the star. I know I am. Enjoy your victory lap. Know that I'll be right back on your asses again if you ever start tripping. I don't expect the team to win every match. If they end up stuck in the babbies again, I'll keep on cheering. But I expect the team to be hot-blooded and for that to be reflected by people that show they care. So good luck come winter where I CAN'T FRICKING WAIT FOR /m/ TO WIN AGAIN!
Kyosuke (the pilot) ends up being the leader of the player forces in the OG games, so it's fitting for the captain role. He is also into gambling his own life and beating the odds.
Alt himself is also kind of the poster boy for the OG series, being in all the game covers.
Also, it's based on the grunt of the OG series (Gespent) with a revolver pile bunker and giant claymore mines, plus the Reisen upgrade needs an anti-gravity device to not collapse into itself, which makes it cool.
But I am just one voice, I am sure everybody who votes for him has his reason.
If I recall correctly, when /m/ was founded we wanted to try and cover our biggest groups with the medals, which ended up being Gundam, Getter Robo, Kamen Rider, and Alteisen. I wasn't around to remember why Alt got a medal, but he retained his spot and got promoted to Gold Medal because he was just good. Even in /m/'s first cup runs, people were surprised how good a Silver Medal Alteisen was.
BELIEVE IN ME WHO BELIEVES IN YOU
congrats /m/. I believed in you against the yellow menace
how
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH BABYYYYYY
Congrats from /vm/.
We'll get back at you again.

Gratz /m/
The management reset was a success so /m/ could win in its next incarnation
Sticky this
hello /m/, Cinemaphile here
how much will take to buy Alteisen? we can get our oil barons to front the bill
Sorry, Beneritto Group and Anaheim Electronics are already sponsoring us
we just need to get rid of missi
I mean, it's about time >you gays got read of both has-beens that haven't been good for 6 or so years already, but what do I know.
well in the Cinemaphile thread today after they lost they finally agreed to stop doing polls, so it might happen
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=alteisen&ref=nb_sb_noss
/vg/ here
congrats you /m/agnificent bastards, you came a long way
here's to another 10 years of ARROGANCE
We already have an Arroganz
I wonder if should put a Battletech mech on the team? Should it be the Urbanmech or Atlas?
Shadowhawk
I mean I get the joke but the Urbie and Atlas are much more iconic.
Urbie was on the team literally previous cup.
Oh, in that case def Atlas.
Dougram was already on the team
Also, we had Warhammer in the /mtg/ tag team as "Frick Harmony Gold"
congrats /m/
congrats /m/
Congratulations /m/, for finally actually getting it.
-Sincerely, /cgl/
You guys are always cool. i'll always respect the hell outta mecha. /jp/ might've lost, but my respect to /m/ is always there. Cheers.
Post yfw /m/ won
All smiles
We did? Shit, I'm glad I didn't watch the matches because I always jinx that shit.
He's looking down on us and laughing
Congratulations /m/
After all of these years, we finally won.
Congrats /m/. Deserved after all these storied years in the Cup.
Kaworu should be coming by Shinji's room soon, love from /cm/.
always had a soft spot for /m/ even tho I don't browse here ever
grats guys
All the years I've been watching the cup, the one thing I always wanted was for /m/ to finally get a star. Never stopped hoping for it, now it's here. Congratulations guys, you truly deserve it
Congrats /m/!
How about this guys?
So if we get another star, do we add more sunglasses?
I'd say that's a problem for future /m/.
We'll line them down the Fin Funnel
Galosengan it
YES! Just thin out the edges of the glasses a little and it would be perfect.
You mean thin the outline?
Yeah, that's what I meant
Don't hide the eyes and the M dammit
Have red glasses and glowing eyes/M, or change the color of the eyes
Give the M a different color to have it pop out more and what
said
I like it.
kino
Looks a little McDonald's themed
Just make sure it's not Mc /d/onalds
Honestly, I think it'll look better with the red with like a gold outline
An eyepatch like the Victory and Crossbone units have would be way cooler tbh
Congratulations /m/ from Cinemaphile
/m/ winning was something from the better deeds, though I wouldn't have minded any of those top 3 weeb teams
Where's the sticky?
Mods is still sleeping (yet)
>Sticky
You will not post Cinemaphile cup nonsense outside of /vg/, Cinemaphile and /mlp/.
>that final boss team
Holyshit
And you will have a nice day !
Point and laugh at the janny bootlicker
>Cinemaphile cup nonsense
Hi AB 4CC mod, way to out yourself
You are simping for someone who does it for FREE
yeah but the sticky though?
we've come a long way bros
I still remember that blowout loss to Cinemaphile like it was yesterday
Apologies to the OP of the thread but I'm hijacking it.
After 11 years of torment, we finally did it! GoldTiger's dream was finally made reality! It's all thanks to you! You put up with our bullshit for years. We honestly should've been sacked many times over, but you put up with us and we're eternally grateful for that! You are what makes this team tick and we cannot be prouder to finally do this for you!
Thanks!
You truly deserve this man, thanks for everything
We've been through so many ups and down. But we finally did it.
TWO BABBIES
TWO 3RD PLACE TROPHIES
AND NOW A STAR
Hey Update
ya cool. have a good day from a former jp manager
Thank you anon !
And congratulations to Shinji !
literally the op here
cheers and congrats
thought i was getting banned for this
Congratulations lads, any chance one of you could share a link to the hyp if you got it?
implying.fun should have all the matches up in like another hour
Alright, cool. I thought there might be a download link floating around that Bors got but don't worry about it, I managed to find the video just now.
>Kira almost do an own goal
>Team won
Christ is real
YOU GOT BEAT BY /m/!
What does this mean now? Well, we appreciate all the logos being tossed around. I'm partial to Simon's glasses being added to the logo. but there have been some others. I think things are leaning towards Simon's glasses but the Council will debate this. There may be a poll.
/m/anagement PUT KIRA UP FRONT
At least making the HYP for winter will be easy, just put JAM Project over anything.
Glad you finally got to see /m/ win, you made /m/ (and the cup as a whole) look fantastic
Hope you're well
And congrats /m/, was rooting for y'all
Since i'm from /jp/, you guys have any good mecha shows besides Gundam and MEGASXLR? I was thinking about finally watching Getter.
Watch Ideon to be depressed
Getter is better read before watched. Mecha is a broad enough genre that it's hard to give good recommendations without knowing your tastes, but Getter or Patlabor are both series I'd recommend.
If you never watched Getter, watch Neo vs Shin OVA first to see if that's your thing.
l-gaim or xabungle
Escaflowne is a decent entry level show
Here's a chart
>Sneed over G Gundam, Wing, any UC series
this chart was made by a moron
Victory is on the bottom row.
Just watch Getter Robo Armageddon. Yes it has a million reference to other Getter stuff but it's also probably the most complete experience that doesn't involve watching 70 episodes of something or reading the manga.
Oh shit I forgot about divegrass. Anyone have links to the game?
You can always find everything at the cup archive. Today's matchday will be up in an hour or so.
https://implying.fun/
prob gonna be longer than that, they still have to do replays before the stream ends
Yeah but the replays aren't archived.
The stream is still going, so you'll have to wait a bit for the replays to be uploaded to the archive. It's on the wiki.
Admittedly. I'm not very good at this, if there's any /m/en who want to have a crack at it, feel free to sue this as a reference.
Now that looks sweet
big improvement
We appreciate your contributions /m/an!
We're in contact with our original logo designer to make the logo. It shall come SOON(tm)
we've got a winner here
What is this final boss
Yeah why don't I get thr jokes
Basically it's /vst/ themed
it's mostly /vst/ shit
at least it's not as lame as /vg/'s or as lazy as Cinemaphile's
Don't mind me, just throwing a shitty design with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Asahikage since is in Patlabor
I am terrible at this
Am I moronic
Put it just above the logo proper and yeah, that might work.
Neat-o
Looks very clean.
Clean, but not as clean as THOSE DIGITS
this is pretty good
ive always thought this for years but i think the eyes should glow even more
Combine them! Both have four sets of dubs!
Really solid imho, also gratz from Cinemaphile
this is great for following traditional clubs and star placements, it's usually on top of the logo
these two are my favorite because I like TTGL
Combine it with the glasses !
this
>/m/ already putting the second star on the logo
jesus christ the ARROGANCE
Ehh, it's kind of unimpressive. It's not unique plenty of teams have stars above their logo like Cinemaphile and /n/. Ours should stand out.
Like these. These stand out. Personally the TTGL one would be my pick but other one is great too.
Beyond the Time, /m/ Star

Welcome hom3
WE SCORED 2 AGAINST FINAL BOSS
ITS HAPPENING!
ITS TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Blenderanon posted this
I like it, but I think it should be a future star and placed on the tip of the drill
We have a winner
Second time we score two on the final boss. Char would be proud.
I think being crowned champions after so many years the star glasses is more apt.
bye bye hoshikuzu namida, it's finally here
congrats on the cup win /m/. much deserved, from /aco/
So, updating the wiki, some important things could be coming in Winter 2024!
Our first match in that cup will be Match #150 for /m/!
and Alteisen is 11 goals away from the coveted 100 goals by a player!
You can't just tease things like that and leave you madman
Awesome, Hopefully we can get a win for 150.
Our captain will be joining the club soon.
Noice
>and Alteisen is 11 goals away from the coveted 100 goals by a player!
How many other players have reached that milestone?
It's like 9
Rape, c**t Destroyer, Messi, Homucifer, Bebop, Bateman, Doom Guy and Doomrider and Kerning all off the top of my head.
Also Nagisa
Oh yeah, i try to tune out /cm/ games so I forgot about his. So 10
Many thanks
About a dozen or so
1 /mlp/ >rape 130

>we'd be the 13th member

>Kyonaldo Nanburio Da Lima
Oh joy, as if we didn't have enough tourists as it is. You can stay for tonight, but if you ask moronic questions, you will get moronic answers.
Is G-Gundam the same as G-Reco?
No, G Gundam came out in 1994 and is a martial arts tournament series with an amazing set of final nine episodes. G-Reco is short for Gundam Reconguista in G from 2014, very comedic hard sci-fi series.
Thank you for explaining /m/y lord
No prob!
If any crossboarders are interested we have a wikia to preserve loads of random /m/ minutia: https://mmecha.fandom.com/wiki//m/-mecha_Wikia
Is Ratatouille a mecha?
Alright, as for a real question, is Space Pirate Capitain Harlock a good point to start watching mecha? I'm curious about it but I don't know if I should watch something before waching it or not
It's a great show but it's only kinda /m/, it's one of those
>battleships aren't /m/
>but Space Battleship Yamato is
things. I absolutely recommend watching it but I don't know if I'd call it a good starting point because most mecha shows aren't like it.
It's not like I have never watched anything mecha related before, it's just more general anime stuff like Gurren Lagann, Evangelion and at least one Gundam OVA that I watched without any context whatsoever, it was fun, but I see your point
I don't mind older anime, nor bigger series, if it hooks me I end up watching the whole way trough in one way or another, but I will look into Gundam 0080
Then I'll look into the movie first and the series later, and also G Gundam, the premise intrigues me
Alright, thank you for the suggestions my good /m/en, you guys have a nice board, hope to face you guys on winter
Yeah, while I think Zeta is the pinnacle of Gundam, I would never tell someone to watch that as their first Gundam. That is not a beginner's show, it's clear Tomino expected everyone to have already watched the original series when it aired.
why are there so many super sekrit prototype gendums
there has to be more of them than grunt mechs at this point
>why are there so many super sekrit prototype gendums
Because they need something to sell models for that exclusively came from the OVA.
That being said, the Ground-Type Gundams in 08th MS Team are just enhanced GMs that can't even operate in space.
Nah, almost every series that dds new Gundam prototypes also adds new GM variations. MSV also had more new GM variations than Gundams.
>there has to be more of them than grunt mechs at this point
That would be true if Zeon wasn't obsessed with 'wonder weapons', aquatic robots and HIGH MOBILITY TYPES
Eeeeeh, I mean, it's a good show but not exactly a typical /m/ show.
The Unicron Gundam gained a will of its own and now goes back in time, putting Gundam schematics (and others, to spice things up) at certain critical points in history just for the fun of it.
Give Fukui enough time and he'll make this canon
/jp/ on the left, /m/ on the right

From the Cinemaphile manager
nice
Nice
That was a really tense final. Good job, /m/!
Do real people play this, or it's just some simulation thing?
Its AI vs AI, but managers make and send in tactics
Yes.
It's CPU vs CPU
Haro soccer ball when
Good shit
For those who missed the pre-hyp versus /jp/
HISOUTENSOKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
EVERYBODY'S HISOUTENSOKU IS FLOWING THROUGH MY VEINS
Cinemaphile Manager here. Godspeed you absolute legends. I have some unassembled Gunpla I'll put together this week in celebration of this.
Is this the BIG GAME, like the finals?
Yes. We won. We are the champions and have earned the coveted star
Mazinger and Shin Getter did have full limbs at one point as did Gundam Scopedog and some others
now that's funny
We will explore trying to resotre some models. I think the reason we downgraded was the Version of PES we move to needed a lot of coercing to accept FBM and we didn't want to pull BA out of retirement give him a monumental task like that. Now that we're back on older PES games, we'll try to make this happen.
Also I'd like to upgrade our home kits from to the armed Tyrannorager look (which is a holdover from our 10th anniversary kits concept) so if anyone knows where to find a model, let us know!
Do you have the kits concept anywhere?
Not exactly. It was a concept in, "It was said, but never acted on." I can see if someone can hit me with the /m/ kit image if you wanna mess around with it.
Also, because I forgot to as this morning, How's /m/ City feeling? Has it set in yet?
Feeling like a million dollars. In the words of a comedian from my country: Good morning, beautiful morning, isn't it?
I mean, Boris hasn't run the 4cc is ages. He's just a streamer. The old /f/ manager has now taken over, wh

There was a model here but it was set to private... https://www.deviantart.com/zeltrax987/art/MMD-NC-Armored-MMPR-Red-aka-Armed-TyrannoRanger-335974536
I can't wait for the future, and to be even more arrogant about big robots
Is there a footage i can watch?
It's on implying fun like everything else. You might have to scrub a few minutes back before the start of match to acquire HYP video
thx, i found it.

Hello /m/ congrats on your victory. I will now rewatch Patlabor to celebrate your accomplishment
I/m/ so proud of /m/y tea/m/
GMngland won
He almost had a fricking Own goal against /d/
Worse, the near own goal almost happened in the Final against /jp/
let's not excuse the fact that the corner he conceded let to a /jp/ goal
Really if /m/ lost then we'd all be blaming Strike Freedom for doing everything he could to blow the game.
Also Megas getting a 4.5 in the final was a fricking crime.
PRAISE HIM!!!
Lifelongs finally saw a star.
To the anon that doubted me, we made it /m/an... we made it...
Congrats /m/!
I didnt follow it live, so i expected the game to go to extra time when it was 1-1. I didnt expect all the 3 goals to come from the last 10 min. The tactical change work perfecrly.
Late because I was at work but congratulations /m/
from /h/
i just feel so fricking arrogant right now
Don't mind me, just throwing ideas
I remember one guy angry that there isn't a Mazinger part in the emblem. I wonder how we could fit a rocket punch, or maybe even a Pilder somewhere in the symbol, but I can't quite put a finger on where
There's a fricking Aniki scarf.
Although on second glance it can also be interpreted as Ryoma's scarf. Hmm.
The scarf can be representative of a lot of people; Aniki, Ryoma, hell even Kamen Rider.
Also standby, Logo poll is coming!
/m/ is already inclusive for /m/azinger
That nu gundam funnel should be change to something tokushit. Too many gundam ref in one logo.
>Excellen's VA dies
>/m/ wins Spring '16
>Aniki dies
>/m/ wins Summer '23
/m/ is powered by dead people.
Don't let the dead consume you.
People who don't understand the value of life will never understand the power flowing through us!
/m/ truly is the Zeta Gundam board
BELIEVE IN THE SIGN OF ZETA
So, poll status update:
Normally we use google forms for polls such as these. However, we've ended up with 15 different variations of the different logo submissions. So, we're going to have to use an alternative poll service for this. It may have to be >strawpoll
You can upload images to Google Forms for the options
I've been conversing with a bigwig is AESCO and goolge forms gets too cluttered. Plus the format will be ranked choice so we can use their tools to tabulate a winner. Current plan is to load all the logos to the wiki and have a separate strawpoll for them
So anyone got a webm/gif of the Alteisen Crowd Dive after the penalty kick goal?
I promise the poll is coming, we may have to cut some out as AESCO is using a different strawpoll site than I was. We appreciate you bearing with us!
how long does it take to set up a poll
Probably be faster if real life didn't get in the way and there weren't like ~14 concepts for the logo
post the 14 concepts and I'll do it for you
as long as it takes to make sure all the 4cc tourists aren't in this thread anymore. I don't want offboarders picking our logo.
>as long as it takes for people to forget and we can force our discord circlejerk logo
hmm

Since I let this go one for so long, End date will be Saturday Evening. I'll have a more concrete end time later!
I like this one the most since it can double as both a TTGL ref and a Wonderful 101 ref.
Nice one /m/
Make the Winter Cup intro out of Muv-Luv Alternative intro. Just have it take place the day after the finals in the stadium. Alteisen and maybe Getter or Mazinger doing infiltration.
>I don't even know what this cup looked like before it got rigged
>GIGANT SKULL instead of HUYMAN BRAINS
Nah, use the 2nd G Gundam OP and lean into the cup as the Gundam Fight
>/m/ as Neo Japan obviously
>Shuffle Alliance can be either made up of fitting teams (ie: Cinemaphile as Neo America, /vst/ as Neo France, etc) or do the FLGS thing with /tg/ and /toy/ if they make it out of the Babbies (Along with Cinemaphile and one other team (/vr/?))
>Master Asia is /mlp/, Schwarz is /misc/
>Sou as Ulube
>Other teams in the elites as the other Gundam Fighters
>/d/ as the /d/evil Gundam
I just can't think of what to use for Allenby at the moment
I'm dumb, I meant Sou as Wong, not Ulube
>not having the SEED ending
FREEDOM is releasing at the same time too.
Btw the results will be based on Ranked Pairs instead of the default Borda Count
So for someone who hasn't played SRW, can I ask why Alteisen is one of the main attackers for the /m/ team? What was the reason for choosing him?
