I saw it in theaters by myself then later my friends met up with me to watch X-Men Apocalypse. Apocalypse was way worse than Warcraft. I wanted to walk out of that shit during the opening scene.
>Apocalypse was way worse than Warcraft.
That's actually true. Quite a bit worse I would add. With all that budget they couldn't write one coherent interesting scene in the entire fricking thing. Meanwhile some b-grade cgi and a bunch of dudes in competent prosthetics managed to make the most generic story on earth entertaining.
Ive never seen this movie but i did play warcraft 3, so as far as story thats all i know, and all i care about. Is the movie based on WC3's story? If so ill give it a watch.
No it’s before any of that it’s pretty dogshit tbh. It’s all like deep lore from WC1 and shit. No thrall no Jaina, not kino whatsoever
It’s Warcraft 1 and a revisionist version of events to better fit with Warlords of Draenor
Lol, i expected it to be either based on wc3 or WoW, their most popular games. But they go for fricking wc1? How many warcraft fans overall even played that one, 5%?
it was a pretty weird choice and full of retcons to try to line it up with where WoW was at the time like

said. they were probably worried that there would be just way too much background material missing for people to understand a story that was closer to where WoW was but honestly the series just retcons and forgets shit so fricking frequently it was a really weird time to pause and panic like the IP has some sacrosanct, deep, and coherent narrative that can't be tinkered with.
Arthas's journey in vanilla War3 was easily their most popular story and probably would have made the most sense, the games were definitely popular enough that people would be able to follow along without knowing who fricking Kilrogg Deadeye was

>warcraft 3
>oh, so it's a movie about Slave, the main character of wc3 and most legendary warchief of the horde right? >n-no, it's about Arthas... >you can't have a WC3 movie without Slave. He was freeing the orcs from slavery and taking them back to Africa at the same time as Arthas's story
>That one scene where the Alliance soldiers get stuck on the wrong side of the barrier and the dad desperately tries to save his son
The movie wasn't that good but it had a few great scenes like that. Could have used more big battles or Warcraft-y shit sort of like how the DnD movie had an actual party pulling off a heist. Instead it was sort of bland LOTR with sort of cool orcs and dumb looking humans.
I don't know why we didn't get a Warcraft 3 movie instead of this origin shit. We don't need a six hour intro to why Thrall is a good guy and shit about Arthas' grandpa.
because the story was already a mess by warcraft 3, the fact they couldn't pull off anything cool from warcraft 1 and had to insert green jesus shows how incompetent the company is
Probably the only movie made that's better than the game it's based on. Weirdly good flick, I wish they did more, but it's too late now. We're all locked in to gay pride marches forever now.
They released it too late. By 2016 WoW's popularity had come and gone. They should've released it in the mid to late 2000s to keep up with hype, 2011 at the latest.
full cgi orcs and live action humans, nothing cool from warcraft was presented, it was a bastardized version of nu-wow, the company is a mentally ill transexual wearing the skin coat of 90s era blizzard north
that's the game with all the transgender goat women right
and homosexual centaurs, dragons, troony furry spirits and a troony angel which serves as the lord of the afterlife
that's degen headcanon and isn't real though
I remember only one line of dialogue from this film
GUL’DAN CHEATS!
slop
zug zug
>you will never dabu in her gaped anus
Looks realer than real life.
Sex with orcs
I'd zug her
shes so fricking hot
shame shes such a dogshit actress, would like to see her in more stuff
To give kino to trillions
They spent millions, to entertain thousands
Wrong, trillions enjoyed the movie.

They should have made it all CGI. The humans (and especially that half-breed woman orc) looked out of place.
Like Beowulf. Would have been kino.

Yeah you know, the first installment of the series upon which the following story is predicated? Moron
>warcraft 3
>oh, so it's a movie about Slave, the main character of wc3 and most legendary warchief of the horde right?
>n-no, it's about Arthas...

how do you respond?

>garona was le good guy
I was on board with the movie (aside from terrible casting for Medivh)) until that moment.
I barely recall i watched this shit movie and thought it was decent but i cant remember a single thing about it
Those Blizzard cinematics were kino as frick 20 years ago. I swear to God, left looked just as good as the right (recent redo) in my mind.
Cinematics are the only thing blizzard can do these days
Why didn’t they make a sequel bros?
Nobody wants to see more of that
Probably the only movie made that's better than the game it's based on. Weirdly good flick, I wish they did more, but it's too late now. We're all locked in to gay pride marches forever now.
Yep
Cgi actors to good it destroyed hollywood
Also they really got the cheapest of the cheapest to plain human
it failed because the female orcs looked embarrassingly frail in this movie
Filtered billions and catered to hundreds five years after everyone stopped caring. The recipe for success.
This flick was kino and I'm not pretending otherwise

Blizzard is always way too late when they are chasing trends
Wtf was his problem?

They cut out my homie Grom, what the frick were they thinking.
men, the CGI still looks great, even a decade later
it is K I N O
the fricking worst part is we'll never get an arthas movie....
