They had a strong start, but now they are just a wet fart.
The art is great. Panels flow togeather so well and characters are expressive.
There are good arches but most of it is not exciting or have any stakes. Metal Virus arch was a great exception. As are most if the mini series.
They start strong but everything after Metal Virus is filler

He's not wrong. The comic's been spinning its wheels without any direction for ages now, pissing away opportunity after opportunity to start shit.
It's more accurate to say that arc was the only one with real stakes in the comic's run. And they killed off an OC to make it happen so I don't expect anything like that again.
No. The OCs aren't allowed to do anything but cry, Sonic and Eggman are the only established characters with any agency, the running plot (repairing the setting from Sonic Forces) genuinely doesn't matter and the individual stories themselves feel unimportant and skippable.
I just read to see new original characters.

Nah they're doing a new scheme that will bite them in the ass, we're still waiting for the payoff of her and Kit infiltrating the restoration from the front door by faking turning good and bantering how they: 'might do untold damage if we were still baddies, good thing we're not!' at everyone they meet. (They will get wrecked)
(Also Mimic is there so I expect shenanigans when the bad guys stir up shit fail to coordinate and the heroes kick their asses).

She has not the image I posted in the first reply is a fanredraw of her last appearance. They made it more shippy but basically like I said she said something like "what if I destroyed your base" then the rest is what sonic said of "I'd be worried about what i'd do to the person that did it".

Also yeah really it's a fun dynamic and why for all of surge's failings we still talk about the little jobber.
