Insider here. Most of this film was generated by some outsourced machine learning "engine". They sent some principal photography and storyboards for the unfinished scenes to India and got back a near complete "product". Everyone is aware it looks like shit but my buddy did some digging and he thinks the studios aren't paying more than $20,000 total for the CGI of an entire movie. We've been debating whether it's really some kind of engine or just a sweatshop of indian "animators" going frame by frame. We've been calling it PooAI.
