>it really is a fricking musical about two schizos having a mental breakdown and dacing together
what the frick were they thinking? normies are seething right now. It's over. No one likes musicals
>it really is a fricking musical about two schizos having a mental breakdown and dacing together
what the frick were they thinking? normies are seething right now. It's over. No one likes musicals
>old hag Harley
This better be the best film ever made to justify this
ouside of Joaquin's acting, the first movie is terrible. old hag Harley clearly matches with the old and haggard version of Joker.
I think she's pretty cute
maybe 25 years ago she was
She was ten years of age then, you sick frick.
out of 10
Gaga is only 35? She looks 47
They should have cast Kenny, and the movie be about a middle aged man falling in love with a hebe
>thinking it would be capeslop
They should've let it be one joker movie
Not this shit
It'll end up just like every kino movie that had a shitty sequel to it
>a "sequel" to an advertisement
Woooow
I could handle a musical if they didn't let that literal who get the part
it will be kino
>I used to think that my life was a tragedy, but now I realize, it’s a musical.
>a musical
another way of saying a "travesty"
The first film caused too much of a Gamer uprising so they need to realise a bad sequel for women to demoralise fans of the first film (and ultimately have them turn against Joker and its Gamer ideology)
Who cares about normalgays?
This movie is literally just because the staircase dance scene became a meme and a couple of braindead execs were like holy shit can we have the entire movie be like this
i liked sweeney todd
so did i
>No one likes musicals
I do, la la land was amazing, frick what normies say
It was pure shit like every other musical ever. You have objectively bad taste.
tenacious d and the pick of destiny was kino
zero cultural impact movies referenced in people's love of musicals.
atleast avatar made money.
you're a moron posting on Cinemaphile, I don't care about your opinion about my tastes, go post about marvel some more
>I don’t care at all that’s why I posted my opinion and then responded to your response
And? What taste has got to do with it? 470 million box office on a budget of 30. Talked about for months, shit ton of awards. Normies liked it. Put a capeshit spin on it they will LOVE it. OP is objectively wrong.
no no no you guys are getting it all backwards, normies LIKE musicals. use a different word
la la land sucks watch a real musical like white Christmas or all that jazz
la la land sucked
watch:
les mis or 7 brides for 7 brothers or phantom of the opera
I watched part of the opening to La La Land and it was so cringe I turned it off. Now Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp, THAT'S a good musical.
they saw incels liked the first one and did everything to make the sequel shit so they dont
this will either be really bad or really good, i wont believe this movie exists until i see it
I have never met anybody who likes musicals, but people who are so in to dancing that they think it is a form of expression or that they can tell a story with dance make me nauseated. Like it literally nearly induces vomiting in me when I see someone take dancing that seriously. Especially men. But then again I am probably the weird one for that.
Musicals appeal to attention prostitute narcissists who think they're the main character of whatever room they're in. the people who really do break into song whenever there's a second of quiet. Very exhausting people to be around.
I prefer people dancing seriously than non-seriously
Apparently you've never met anyone who saw Popeye.
Little Shop of Horrors is pretty good.
In the same way that Barbie pandered to women while throwing a bone to men with Gosling, they're doing the same here but with the sexes reversed. They want the male audience they captured with the first film but want to draw women in with Gaga. They'll likely end up just alienating both unless they go all-in on meme marketing like Barbie did.
The director got forced into making a second movie so he intentionally bombed the franchise to preserve as much of its integrity as he could. If he made a passable movie then we'd have the Joker Avengers in 4 years
So it's subverting our expectations? Damn...
musicals are shit, but like with anything there are a couple that are good.
>No one likes musicals
No, musicals are amazing. Jukebox musicals are pure garbage. Shoehorn a pop song into a narrative and try to repurpose its general topic into "meaning" something relevant story-wise is unbelievably lazy corporate art. Watch an adaptation of a Rogers & Hammerstein musical and you'll see the difference between art and slop musicals. Oklahoma! is a work of art; Mamma Mia! Is moronic trash.
Oklahoma has always been corny like every other musical.
I am sorry you have never experienced joy, hope, or love in your life.
I don't trust people who don't like musicals, they're most likely brown or just lack a soul in general.
I like musicals.
I love musicals, you turbo man-ass pounder.
>I love this thing that is famously popular with gays
>therefore you are gay
That was the joke, Admiral Autism.
yes, I have autism. problem?
No it wasn't and you got blown the frick out you flaming moron Black personhomosexual
You OK there, buddy? Why don't you kick back and escape into a musical.
Dilate
Is that what's got you down, champ? You forgot to dilate today? It's OK, let's put on West Side Story and you have a nice long dilating session.
i like that theyre making something ridiculous and different instead of just going the safe option and making something generic to satisfy the "literally me" incels that loved the first one
>I am sorry you have never experienced joy, hope, or love in your life.
Why did you post a portrait of yourself? Pic rel, me enjoying Sondheim.
Neither did the joker. Hes the ultimate edgelord, a domestic Terrorist who killed thousands, a psychopathic maniac who tortures his Girlfriend. Normies desperatly want to "humanize" him, i.e. making him believe in the same meaningless Mumbo jumbo they so desperatly cling on, "love", "hope", "charity"
>musical about two schizos having a mental breakdown and dacing together
Sounds kino to me.
Yeah ngl this sounds kind of OK. Especially if they cut back and forth between extravagant Hollywood musical numbers and the grim reality they're actually living.
The first Joker was kino, so I'm going to give them the benefit of waiting until I see it to pass judgment.
It's a fricking kino that exemplify how including women in anything else than family matters ruins everything.
>what the frick were they thinking?
"How can I micromanage the shit out of this so that it looks good on my resume when it does well at the box office again purely because it's a sequel to a successful film?"
I'm thinking kino
Once I never could've hoped to win
You're starting down the road leaving me again
The threats you made were meant to cut me down
And if our love was just a circus
>you'd be a clown by now
You know I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
I'm still standing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm still standing.
Yeah, yeah, yeah
This is bombing. Only ameritards sit to musicals. It's a weird, moronic and gay shit genre, a fossil from the theatre culture you guys for some reason cling to.
See: only country ever to have musical tv series and tv episodes.
