I knew the fat landskeeper was the perp immediately in S1, they literally had a close up shot of him while being asked questions and then had a shot of him staring at Rust as he leaves ffs, so the “revelation” was disappointing for me, S2 on the other hand, when he died and I clued in to the fact that the dream detailed his death it was actually fricking kino and unexpected

This, s1 and s3 were too cartoonish with the creepy cult shit or le spooky moments. S2 was an actual crime drama with mature themes and no reddit mystery with le supernatural blueballing.
Honestly season 2 is for adults. The other seasons are for kids and women. s2 shows people who tried and failed, like many people have. Kids dont know what its like to be ground down, how life takes a toll. Luckily the end of the show gives them a chance to redeem themselves unlike real life.
