What a weird movie. It's not the Little Italy in NYC but some two-block area in Canada or some shit. It's so dumb and soft and poorly made but pretty comfy. Not an endorsement but a suggestion to watch a Lifetime Movie-level motion picture with at least one recognizable name attached to it. So weird. But an easy watch.

His career largely did die. He went and lived on a farm and raised his family with a few roles here and there. He’s just kind of re-emerged because he’s been in the new SW show. Peak Hayden is still Shattered Glass.

He did the best anyone could've done with the material and lines George Lucas gave him
He is over the top cheerful and excited but i have no doubt it was more the direction and writing he was given. Lucas probably wanted to make him overtly childlike and naive to contrast Vader but it just ended up being annoying as frick. Lucas is a good storyteller but he really should’ve let better writers do the dialogue/script. Like with Empire for example.
he was the classic American child actor overdoing it which is why Lucas picked him. Also the age difference would be a big factor in Hayden not being a whiny b***h because he could still use the fame to get laid whereas Jake Lloyd was a mentally ill loner getting bullied by classmates so there was little to no upside.
Don't see why anyone cared about the kid acting when the movie was ruined by Jar Jar who is too distractingly obnoxious to notice anything else.
I didn't hate Jar Jar that much. But I didn't take his part that seriously. I don't think he was meant to be taken serious. Just a character to make toys from.
