Spikes character might have tried, but Kennedy legit forces herself on Willow after repeated attempts that Willow tries to avoid, and it's played as some sort of sweet moment. 7th season was such a fricking dumpster fire.

Whedon legitimately hated Spike and his popularity. The character was only ever meant to be a one season villain who'd die at the end of S2. But viewers liked the character and Marsters's performance so Spike had to stick around, which made Joss seethe to no end.

Im really surprised FOX or Disney never put the show out on Blu-ray. Sure the first couple seasons might not look that great because of the vamp dusting effects and full screen but by Season 4 they are good to go. Really should've been released by now.
