As far as redesigns go though, this is probably the best one in the show, by far. I get that he's not the classic bowler hat wearing Gottfried, but at least the design can stand on its own and you can see what they were going for.
Ntop, but I have no idea what they’re going for. Classic. Mr. My , is clearly a cartoony being a realistic world. This one aside from matching the art style of everyone else, looks like an Asian spirts or minx
It doesn't add or say anything. It's just weirdly boring and derivative, like some slapped their Dragon Ball Super OC into the show and called him Mxy.

What sucks is that they could've easily taken a similar route STAS and based him off of Gag mangas. Make his design similar to guys like The Laughing Salesman or Dr. Slump, which makes his very existence feel even more off-putting and weird. But that would require the writers to actually care about anime and not be posers that just regurgitate DBZ/Sailor Moon/Inuyasha ad nauseum.
There's this idea in Superman media that no matter the series your in Mister Mxyzptlk is the same character. Between universes, between crisises and even between separate continuities such as the DCAU which exists in a separate multiverse, Mister Mxyzptlk is still the same, Mxyzptlk is Mxyzptlk.
>There's this idea in Superman media
No, that's an idea presented in some comics
Show me one scene in any show where Mxy goes "Oh, yeah, that reminds me of when I did this thing that one time in Action Comics #208 in 1955" or does ANYTHING that indicates he's the same as in the comics or other adaptations
Mxyzptlk might not do that directly but Bat-Mite absolutely does, all the time. Mxyzptlk is much more subtle while his partner in crime Bat-Mite just isn't.
It's a child like genie trickster thing. That seems perfectly in theme with the character. He doesn't need to look like he dropped right out of a Looney Toons episode.
I want to see him do the bit from Whatever Happened to The Man of Tomorrow
"Did you honestly believe that a 5th Dimensional sorcerer would resemble a cute little kitty boy?"
And then his real form is legit scary
Since every version of Mr. Mxy is the same, I just see this as him realising he's in an anime inspired universe and going " Okay, I'll match the style. " so taking a more anime inspired-look. I like it tbh.

Its very anime alien and I like that
Tragic it's the one that makes the least amount of sense.
Explain.

How does me hating that thing with every fiber of my being make me gay?
Only a homosexual allows themselves to be filled with hate. That's why they break their own butts.
It's called kismesissitude
No. Shut up
it's just weird seeing such a cartoony character turn into whatever that is in the OP
It's another very cartoony character, but of a different cartooning tradition.
I will get that boy pregnant

He looks like tenchi muyo character so I can see that
i have no idea who or what this guy is but it's funny watching people who want to chew on him fight over people who want him to look like an old man
you mean to tell me a character whose name starts with "mr" is a guy?!
But I don't want to frick this thing. I want to frick Clark.
so does anyone have the leaked script for this episode?
It’s a e-girl imp with a pack-a-day voice. It’s like a young fantasy version of Dr. Girlfriend.
I was sold on imp.
yes
This is the most generic ‘anime’ shit I’ve ever seen. I don’t know why people keep sucking this show off.
I thought her head was a Toaster
