Its the best show of the past 2-3 years. Maximus was an incredibly unique and complex character.
I was pleasantly surprised, but there were still quite a few flaws. Overall it's like a 7/10 which is actually amazing as far as video game adaptations are concerned.
I really liked the Vault 31/32/33 plot line - I loved the conspiratorial aspect and the dorky guy uncovering the mystery with hacking and snooping around.
The Brotherhood of Steel stuff was actually better than I expected, but it still kind of sucked. Why weren't they using energy weapons?
The main girl did a good job, although it's kind of the same story as Fallout 3 in a way because she's just trying to find her dad. I liked the Vault-Tec aspect of it though, and Kyle MacLachlan is amazing.
Walton Goggins was really good too, but his character is way too overpowered.
I hope they show more background information on Mr. House and New Vegas and how it relates to Vault-Tec in the next season.

Maximus is an unredeemable Black person who deserved to die for what he did to Titus. There are only two white couples in the show, one being thieves who die in their only scene and the other only becoming a thing after she bred with a FRICKING INDIAN. I like how they respect the terrible accuracy of guns in the game. They were not afraid to lean into it at all. Even Thaddeus dumped an entire mag at Max and Lucy while they were standing still and missed every shot.

Lucy is a fun protagonist and the Ghoul is a strong anti-hero. I can take or leave Maximus but I enjoyed the show a lot overall. It managed to strike the right balance between the sobering, grim reality of a post-nuclear wasteland and dark humor. I'll probably check out season 2.
