Still haven't seen it, just looks boring to me. I'm open to the possibility of being wrong, but I generally find Nolan kind of bland
nobody on Cinemaphile watches anything, just complains about politics and tries to force unfunny memes.
if i wanted to watch something about the atomic bomb i would watch one of the hundreds of documentaries about it.
i dont get who this film is for.
So you've never watched a movie about any event in history? Weird stance to take.
I didnt say i have never seen films like this just that documentarys are always better.
I'm watching for the history, not to look at an overpaid actor shit things up with someone's fanfic.
>if I wanted to watch something about EVENT_IN_HISTORY I would watch one of the hundreds of documentaries about it
it applies to every single non fiction film. just a really really weird stance to take.
not at all, i just like doccumentarys.
why is that weird?
So you would prefer to watch a documentary on Napoleon rather than watch Ridley Scott's new hit movie sensation of the summer?
yes?
No one's saying that it's weird that you prefer documentaries. However, it's clear you don't understand the point of biopics and non-fictional films

It’s very boring. There’s no superheroes, no dragons, no wizards, no car chases or shootouts. There’s only one explosion. I watched it on one monitor while I played fortnite on the other and it was boring af.
He had to go into a room to be asked if he was a communist :'( but the Eisenstein showed up and I know who that is!
What about the JFK MCU reference?
I liked it but have no desire to ever watch it again.
>Dude what if we edit a 3 hour biopic like it's a music video
>Yes everyone is going to love timeline switches every 5 seconds
>And we should make one timeline in black and white
>Are you a communist? x 100
Genuinely one of the worst films i've seen in a long time
OP here, I actually agree 100% that it's not just mediocre but actually bad but if you say it's a bad film you get flooded with >you're just a contrarian replies instead of actual discussion

lets blame global warming on the citizens of the world
cattle farming
styrofoam
also no ozone layer
they did it
I don't rate Oppenheimer at all and would never bother to spend 3 hours of my time watching a glamorization of his life
This was kino. Why Cinemaphile hate?
Indian or South American?
>It’s an everyone is pretending to dislike a good movie because they like their Japanese children’s cartoons too much thread
What was your favorite part?
Kino
The original footage is more interesting and better shot.
Oppenheimer captured the visceral beauty of it
Unironically the best part of the movie was when Truman called Oppenheimer a crybaby homosexual. I was thinking that for the entire film.
One of the worst parts of the movie because in reality Truman was much harsher
>Le Truman is based!
History obsessed zoomers are the worst thing to happen to the internet. Go read a fricking book.
Imagine if in the film instead of Truman said
>What a wimp
He instead said
>Never bring that fricking cretin in here again. He didn't drop the bomb. I did. That kind of weepiness makes me sick.
It's entertaining, period. There are tons of boring movies if it's more of your taste.
