>it's a gives you a fear of ever drinking water from the hose again because of impromptu surgery without anesthesia to remove a 20 foot tape worm episode
>t. third worldie
frick off I'm not going to check an entire catalogue of shitposting "it's coffee good for you?" threads just to notice that there's a House MD thread already
You didn't even understand a House reference, get outta here
Of course I get the reference, moron
>le heckin' long worm out of a roastie
homie take 30 seconds to scroll down it’s not difficult. A thread died for your laziness
hey butthole you're wasting posts
New threads delete old threads. Posts only waste posts if you think a show which has been off the air for over a decade was gonna have 1000+ replies
This is a shit take, how could the show being British make it better?
>how could the show being British make it better?
they would have planned out an actual story with some character arcs and development instead of filling every episode with the memey shit you see here.
I can tell you prefer the american version of The Office, so I don't expect you to actually understand
british comedy > american comedy
but
british drama < american drama
only shit that wouldve been different is cuckner wouldnt have left abruptly to join the obama administration
>silly walks
young sheldon - there i can cherry pick as well
Come on, Sopranos, the Wire, BB ect - I do like some British drama but it's not even close.
I'm not saying what you're suggesting is bad but why couldn't an American drama do that? I much prefer his storyline about being on 'heroin without the high' where falling asleep could kill him and then his slow acceptance that he needs his cane as well as his detox episode kinda covered what youve mentioned where he can barely function, also his post-rehab where he has to find fufilment in other areas because all he has is ibuprofen. If you think America's anti-drug culture would prevent your storyline I think you're overstating its influence. 'People don't change' was House's mantra so your idea flies in the face of that, and i much prefer his small glimpses of humanity and doing the right thing in an butthole way to hide that he's doing something good than a cliched 'im too old for this shit' - you also got to think of the episodes where he deals with the anti-vaxer, the person who doesn't want to serve in the marines, and the two kino episodes where someone comes in with a gun. You couldn't really do that in a british drama. Also 13.. enough said
>why couldn't an American drama do that
well, I don't think that Hollywood writers work in those kind of situations so much anymore - they seem to have a lot of set pieces they want to work in, and they like a higher key approach.
And also because American shows exist to go on until the audience goes away, and I think to do these types of things you want to have a defined frame to fit it in - so you know you have two or three seasons to tell the story and that's it.
I'll agree about 13 🙂
yeah guess I agree. House MD was the perfect balance, it had social commentary but still let House say some outrageous sexist, racist shit that wouldn't fly today. Shows like BB finished at their peak but usually American dramas overstay their welcome and even House overstayed if just barely. Wilde is so hot even the most lusted after male celebrity dated her despite being 10 years younger than her
>british drama < american drama
I disagree, for example, they could have done a line about how House gets addicted to drugs for pain and branches out to performance enhancing, and realizes he's a better doctor on drugs than off them, and then he figures out that drugged house is to sober house as sober house is to the other doctors, and he develops some empathy and some mortality because he knows his skills will fade and some young hotshot will treat him the same way he's been treating others.
you can do that in a british drama, but not an american one
>A thread died for your laziness
What If it was a shitty thread or even worse a fish tank general thread?
We’ll never know because OP killed it
It was already dead, okay?
WE can't do anything about it, (You) cannot save all the threads, anon
No army has ever won by thinning itself on multiple fronts. If all the homies here jumped in the last thread it’d be alive.
Frick it I’m making another house thread, come find me homie
>watches a show about Watson and Holmes
>is upset that Holmes solves mysteries and then explains his thinking to Watson
Why?
Intestinal worms are common and treatment is generally very simple
Parasites, anon. No matter how easy to remove they are in real life like Malaria or tape worms, they're still a freaky thing for anyone to think about since Alien
no in the cronenberg thread it was explained that Alien is about rape.
Yeah it was as formulaic as any cop procedural, but it did it well
House is a detective procedural with diseases as a "rogue's gallery" of recurring antagonists.
"House" is a synonym for home (cognate with Holmes), and his sidekick is Wilson, a simple play on Watson
We already have a house thread
It's lupus
this would have been much better as a british show. so much potential lost.
>le genius british trope
>it's another writers trying to convince the audience that Cuddy isn't a solid 6/10 episode
House isn't funny.
9/11 confirms you made a shit take
Funny.....
>House storms off
>Watson: What now House you butthole?
>House: The patient isn't dying from laughter, they're not laughing enough...
>Theme starts playing
>House barges in to patients room with an airhorn
>HONK HONK
>patient goes into hysterics and coughs up a clown nose
How does he do it?
Hey, the light allergy episode Chase is the one who solved the case talking to Wilson.
The 10%
Foreman has more cases solved than Chase
chase is the better doctor anyways and cuter
What kind of moron watches House for the medical mysteries? Dumb b***h.
me 🙂
>oh shit dr homies! this homie's got a rare disease we can't diagnose it!
>OK drain his blood and replace it all with diet Fanta
>wow Dr House you have saved this mans life with your irreverent and unorthodox approach to medicine
I have never watched this show
despire the memes it's actually really good. check out the first season.
>great characters and acting
>each episode is usually a view of interesting rare or idiosyncratic medical disorder (of which there are lots)
>good setting and production values
>genuinely funny laugh out loud writing (actually rather edgy)
>good CGI is common, showing fascinating internal anatomy
Wilson is Watson and House is Holmes
>It's a Chase is the next coming of House episode.
Why were those unironically always the best character episodes?
Why did chase do it?
>several babies died because the cleaning lady was sick
What the frick was that episode.
