I think Zone has given enough and let us steal his shit for free for years that he could just frick off and do nothing milking those who follow and pay him. He's given a lot to the Internet much like Neil Cicierega and few have risen to that level and many legendary people around him from that era have shit the bed like Stamper and Egoraptor.
Honestly, I didn't like Ghostbusters. Fricking ugly monsters and the context there was straight up a bonerkiller. But it doesn't make him any less a legend.

it just out of curiosity, i enjoy looking at older more crude art of artists and see how they started off
until someone matches his skill at imitating art styles he will still be the best, I never cared about the animation itself but I liked the accuracy
I think a lot of artists CAN perfectly copy an art style it's just that they don't want to. It's an incredible amount of effort to reverse-engineer a style to ensure it looks like the original.
A good example of how difficult this is consider Sonic, especially the heads. Despite all the fricking degenerate Sonic stuff out there very few people get it exactly right and most of the time it comes off as just slightly off that you know something is wrong. Because there is a highly technical way to draw Sonic, the heads have an incredibly strict orientation for how the eyes on the round circle that is their heads.
That's probably a reason why nobody does what Zone does because they can get paid all the same for making art without going through the same gargantuan effort. Like it's a legitimate skill for an artist to sit down and mimic an original style. Most companies have style bibles to ease artists into it but you can tell when shitty companies don't and the style changes slightly because art directors aren't enforcing anything.

Zone is like one of those rappers who made it, they act like they are still in the hood, retweeting hood and gang shit but really sold out. In zones case he still retweets porn but he is happy to make money on his ecchication series and streams and patreon. He makes more money doing all of those things then he ever did making porn
The other thing is, libido goes down to over age. horniness in your early 20's makes you do crazy shit like reverse engineer Avatar's art style at a time where most of Avatar's porn was pencil drawings colored in photoshop. Its been 15 years since, Zone is in his mid 30's in all likelihood, possibly older, shit that he's be all for doing back then probably seems more pointless now.

I really hope that Zone does make enough money from whatever non-porn revenue-streams he has that will carry him through to retirement age. Because he seemingly didn't leverage his position with LabZero to go into more structured work, which I imagine that most of the time is just better from a financial standpoint than the fickleness of streaming audiences.
You look at a guy like Plague, who very much did things on a similar trajectory to Zone but who is fricking struggling with everything. His finances, family, and Internet are unstable as frick and he squandered all the early Patreon attention he had from the Best Friends and he did nothing to earn that plug and lost like all his money and is now scraping to get back to that level but the Best Friends are fricking gone. Similarly so many of the Newgrounds people are struggling job-to-job because they didn't (and let's be honest, couldn't) use any of that Internet fame they had when the Internet didn't make them filthy rich. Like none of them could have imagined that rather than doing detailed passionate animations they could have just spent the whole time screaming at video game footage. The Sleepycabin project should have succeeded like a co-op; it should have anchored people who wanted to make creative animated output. But all that shit fails: Rooster Teeth, Machinima, and even Newgrounds couldn't fricking catch people from the collapse of tumblr to make absurd amounts of money. Like how the frick is it that fricking Twitter became the place to be after tumblr and not fricking Newgrounds.
Based on my own YouTube channel if he is partnered on YouTube based on my stats and multiplying it to match his he should be making at least 50 grand a year add his twitch streams which should be earning him a decent check a month and his patron he is fine if he saves that money up

Sleepycabin was never gonna work, the only way you can get into the cartoon industry these days is commiefornia and I doubt everyone in the crew was willing to increase their living expenses like that without a stable stream of income and they never made enough on Patreon for that many people.
Machinima was an unsustainable business model that survived as long as it did by taking advantage of naive content creators with the shittiest contracts imaginable, people starting to get vocal about how shitty they were was the beginning of the end.

You could get some Chinese model off Amazon for 2 months and return it while you wait for your one to get repaired, sinceI know Cintiq repairs cost almost the same as a whole new one. Like I managed to get a cintiq with my wageslave job and my art sucks.
