He won't, no one holds him accountable. His deal is so weak they might as well get a ghostrider to finish it for him at this point.

He keeps coming up with weak excuses why it won't be out this year. He sits around like a lump not doing a goddamn thing b***hing on social media while other writers put out more books in five years then he's done in his lifetime.

The music was good. The scenes were good. It literally looked like the apocalypse was happening. If the end of that shot was the dead winning and the world ending, it would have been some of the best 10 minutes of film ever. But it wasn't, it ended in a fricking girlboss moment that made no sense.

I'll concede that despite the moron tactics employed the scene were all the dothraki get wiped out in the distance and you see their flames go out in the distance was metal as frick the rest of it was fricking awful, just a mess of quick cuts constantly cutting away from characters who look like they're about to die only to be fine the next time they're seen taking away any weight to the battle completely, they nearly did something really cool in that long scene of Jon looking like he is abandoning his friends to get to the Night King (presumably) is wasted because they're literally all fine, even the fat frick Sam who had no business surviving that battle at all

            >battle shows nearly all generic soldiers died, dothraki get wiped out
            >everyone just fricking respawns in the next episode to attack kings landing

even though majority of actual fans had already become aware of how shit the show had become long before the final season, it's still staggering to think that the writers just stopped giving any semblance of a shit despite being the most hyped show on TV by normies to a point where even THEY turned on it

I'm just gonna say it; S1 was not very good. The delivery of the dialogue and the way scenes are shot is unnatural. It feels like a soap opera. The story is fine, and the dialogue itself, but that's all directly ripped from the pages. Like it wasn't adapted at all, the only edit being cut lines for the sake of time. I believe this is why people like Robert, and Mark Addy's performance. He's the only one not acting static, like it's not a stage play.

Stannis is still alive in the books and a solid contender to make it to the end and face Danny. The book make it seem like he is having a hard time but Ramsay is also in a situation where most his army isn't on his side anymore and at least two parties are working against him from the inside. But DnD are hacks and its easier to just handwave his advantage and kill him off fast.

      >caring about stannis in the first place
      ISHYGDDT
Why did the wildfire consume Matthos, but push Davos flying backwards into the sea? How did Stannis know Tyrion was behind the wildfire? How did he know that the wildfire was a one-off? Did Stannis read the script? Hey what's that on that little islet over there, is that Davos? What's he waving around, is that the script?

        >everyones spying on everyone. Stannis might know that tyrions acting hand of the city. also who cares.

I can tell you watch rlm you nitpicking homosexual

          >Everyone's spying on everyone
is spying on King's Landing, but doesn't have spies or scouts to tell him that Tywin and Tyrell forces have ridden for hundreds of miles to ambush his seige
So the show's just moronic and even headcanon can't fix how fricking dumb it is, gotcha. The only reason I care is because of the stupid ass line that didn't even have any purpose.
          >Wildfire destroys ships. Better land the rest of army before more wildfire comes. no more lannister ships in sight also so no more tricks
They didn't see the one ship until it was right on top of them. Who's to say there's not another one around the corner? You might even argue this is symbolic, considering Stannis has only gotten this far by utilizing dark magic, so now the darkness has betrayed him in a sense. I don't think the showrunners were that clever though.
What if there's wildfire in barrels, buried beneath the sand? What if the Mud Gate is manned by decoys, who were meant to lure the Stannis' forces in and then destroy the gate itself once the seige forces had overtaken them? It's established as relatively common knowledge that the Mud Gate has been in disrepair for decades. Destroying it once and for all and rebuilding it would be both effective and cheaper than the entire city being sacked.
In other words; Stannis is moronic. He's also a hypocrite who never punished himself or his men for purchasing stolen, smuggled goods. I guess it's okay to bend the law when it suits you. What a wonderful king, I'm sure Stannis would have been fair and just.

    >Bran can green dream anywhere in history while warging to affect events that will then directly impact the perceived present day
Wouldn't this imply that Bran is every character? In other words, Bran pushed Bran out of a window so Bran could lead Bran into a crypt so Bran could then seize control of Winterfell, causing Bran to flee so that Bran and Bran, the latter of whom wants to have sex with Bran, can find Bran and lead him north of the wall to find Treebran, who will then show Bran how to become Bran so that he can eventually sit comatose in a wheelchair that never moves and become Brandon The Brandone, King of the Brandals and the First Brans, Lord of the Seven Brans, Protector of the Realm.

The weirdest fricking part is that Arya has zero connection to fire. If anything she's neutral, or more "ice" considering her northern heritage she clings to.
Beric really should have been the one to fight the Night King. He could've killed him, but then been splintered with dozens of shards of ice as the Night King shattered, dying for the final time immediately after his purpose was fulfilled.

season 8 absolutely had problems but 90% of the whining is theory autists who couldn't handle their headcanon not panning out and/or liberals who thought Dany turning evil was like watching Hillary lose 2016 all over again.

The show needed a couple more episodes to better flesh out its ideas and give the characters time to breathe between major plot points but all the major beats track thematically from what the show has always been about.

What really needed to happen was a season and a half of jon and danys forces battling a steadily growing army of undead across westeros- slowly retreating south to kings landing- maybe even taking the city to hide behind its walls. Its the appeal of GOT- realistic medieval warfare in a fantasy world. The fact that 8 seasons of build up ends in a slightly longer episode is insulting to anyone who was still invested in this shit.
