I rewatched it recently and it's still kino. A modern classic for sure.

I don't think it's overrated, 3 great villains, 3 great protagonists, good animation, good message, good music.
No. If you don't like it, just say you didn't like it. Simple as. Don't pussyfoot around, just admit you hate talking animals or that the pacing was too fast or you found Death cringe or whatever.
For me, I do think the plot was a little jarring going at breakneck pace but it's so economic about every scene I can't complain too hard. I liked it, it was great and I don't think it's an exaggeration to say the best Cinemaphile thing all year.

7 months later it's still a great movie though.
It's a simple, solid story with fun characters and beautiful visuals. I think it's rated pretty fairly.
I just wish we saw more of the hellish versions of the dark forest.

I honestly thought her wish was simply going back to innocence rather than jaded grizzled criminals. I never got the sense she was unhappy with the bears to want her old one over them. Maybe wishing for knowing the identities of her old family might've landed better. Also I want to FRICK mama bear.
