I agree. Unlike those shows it has a fairly clear arc and it feels like the writers actually knew where they wanted the show to go from probably around the second episode.
How? It spends the first three seasons showing the personality and dynamics of each sibling and illustrating exactly why they are unsuited for the CEO role, and then it all culminates in the final power struggle in season 4 that ends with them all losing because of their various dysfunctions.
>and it feels like the writers actually knew where they wanted the show to go
yeah, logan supposed to have died in season 1 being held onto for 3 and a half seasons is indicative of knowing the show arc in advance
>sopranos >story about mafia and its twilight years >the wire >story about inner city crime and complex relationships >succession >story about rich people
>the wealthiest people in the world who control our media systems, industrial production, and political structure are not worth talking about
absolute midwit opinion
>logan holds meeting >drops a bunch of F bombs >logan dies, children go around dropping F bombs about wanting to be CEO >cue board doing boring business suit stuff
snooze forgettable slop. Shit is more trash then breaking bad. Imagine if breaking bad was just dudes making meth and swearing at each other to make more money.
I'm the kind of guy who claims not to smoke but then have a couple of beers and beg my friends for free ciggies, people call me BASED when I do that. Mad Men is a repetitive soap opera and the finale was fricking trash
Its the most reddit HBO show >Cinemaphile openly referenced >kids are all giga autists, roman either makes cringe comments or kendell channels "literally me" goose Cinemaphile anons as if writers knew and did it on purpose >no real dialogue >soundtrack spam every other scene >logan gets shit on every other episode and show builds up to make you think any of the kids were near logan in business skills
It’s good but no it’s not.
>It’s good
Incorrect
>but no it’s not.
Correct
>compares it to better shows
Not a good start but keep going
I haven't seen it but that poster looks bland as frick. Is the show as boring as it looks?
Yes. Season 1 is kino but it gets boring fast
I agree. Unlike those shows it has a fairly clear arc and it feels like the writers actually knew where they wanted the show to go from probably around the second episode.
Peak moron.
Dramas shouldn't be aimless and meandering. They should know what they want to say and how they want to say it.
You just described Succession to a T.

Where's muh arc toe knee!
>It's better than Sopranos/The Wire
Yes
too linear, rewatch value 4/10
It's the same season 4 times, the same HBO formula they've been using since Silicon Valley. At least SV is rewatchable.
>sopranos
>story about mafia and its twilight years
>the wire

HBO turned into slop

no it isnt. it might be a bit better than mad men tho
It wasn't, it's better than Mad Men by a wide margin though
n
Are you the infamous anti-smoking schizo by any chance
I'm the kind of guy who claims not to smoke but then have a couple of beers and beg my friends for free ciggies, people call me BASED when I do that. Mad Men is a repetitive soap opera and the finale was fricking trash
I hate you for 2 reasons, but that's perfectly okay
It's the most funny I watched. British comedy disguised as an HBO drama. The Wire is better, but it's very close.
It's much better than The Sopranos and The Wire. The story of Succession is more relevant and relatable too because it's really all about family.
if we only talk about production value, this is the single best show of the past decade, no contest
name one piece from the Sopranos that comes even close to this
The Wire is good but overrated due to Millenials obsession with black culture
Also Sopranos still better than Succ, Wire, Mad Men, and Meth man
