Food is the only thing of value that Italians have done since the fall of Rome, so they have to constantly screech about it to remind everyone that they still exist.
I enjoy their food and all (especially kino for bulking) but the wops I have encountered in real life I have found distasteful. They've behaved like uppity urban blacks but with instead olive skinned/tanned and with different accents, broken English rather than slang, etc.
