Why does every dialogue nowadays just feel like the writers are trying to make it a "thing" where it's going to be a 4-second YouTube meme video that people will reference for years.

Peter tingle pissed me off. No no, we can't say spider-sense, that's not emasculating enough. Let's make it something he's embarrassed by every time.

It's funny because the last time one became an actual meme, I don't think they were doing that. I think it was just the line that made the most sense.

      >Mr. Stark, I don't feel so good...

      Anonymous

It never used to be that way. There were just lines that were cool, memorable, as a result of good writing. They just wanted their characters to sound cool. "Go ahead, make my day", etc. Then it would be a thing where the good guy would have a one-liner as he defeated the bad guy, etc.

Arnie got famous for one-liners that weren't particularly designed to be. "I'll be back" in the original Terminator could have been a total nothingburger. It was kinda funny in the context of the scene but was never designed to be the big catchphrase it became for Arnie, and sounded like a forced meme every time it was used after T2.

Compare it to a line like, "Trust me", when he's going to use the minigun on the cops. Same kind of context in the scene, but nobody gives a flying frick about that line. Maybe it was designed to be some meme, but you couldn't tell it was so generic just like "I'll be back" was. It doesn't land like a lead fart like it's trying to be a forced meme, and he's looking right at the camera when he says it.

These days it's all forced memes and ice pun type shit because it's just bad writing pure and simple trying to lean on memes and shit as a crutch.

This poor lib specimen has confused the americanized black with the proud afghan people. Unbeknownst to her, the alien culture has no concept of “black girl magic”, nor would they appreciate being likened to the cursed people of Ham. There's nothing wrong with that in principle, just badly written ones are a problem.

So sick of homosexuals and their 'x am bad' shit. Like 'time travel am bad', 'multiverses am bad', 'franchises am bad', 'capeshit am bad'.

No you simplistic morons. A good well-written film would still blow all your stupid little 'rules' out of the water, and prove none of that shit is the actual problem.

It's just as moronic thinking and just as limiting as 'white males am bad', 'women talking about a man am bad', etc.
