>Dynasty Warriors SRW
I’m imagining fighting the Ideon in an attempt to stop it from destroying the universe. However, how would you fit in certain mechs like the Ingram and Scopedog?
scamco shits out gundam-themed games on whatever was popular 5 years ago.
Now it's overwatch clone.
So assuming the next Dynasty Warriors becomes big hit (it won't happen) you might expect DWGundam5 in the 5 years after that.
probably the day when one piece warriors sales will dry up
which seemingly never.
since they never even bothered to port older gundam musou games on ps4. while one piece warriors 3 gets all the ports all the day
>So assuming the next Dynasty Warriors becomes big hit
have you seen age of calamity sales? Granted it got botw zelda branding
Yeah dude I totally miss mashing square square triangle over and over again.
Great gameplay.
t. never played musou game to any reasonable extent
I'd take G Gen and MS Saga over Musoushit. The mobile suits don't even feel like mobile suits, and their abilities don't really represent what they can do in the anime.
Before you go muh overwatch, I didn't like that either.
I tried the demo for this back in the day and was legitimately exhausted from the button mashing before even clearing the demo stage. I had never played a Musou before and was assuredly playing it wrong, but hoo boy what a bad and lasting impression it left.
No, you were playing it right. All you do in these games is kill like 1000 enemies by mashing simple square and triangle combos and fight a few mini bosses in the way until you defeat the guy in charge. Rinse and repeat.
Better than overwatch clone lmao
Other games being shitty is not relevant. They could release a good game instead.
I didn't like how a lot of series got shafted hard in terms of pilots and MS, it was also annoying how they included certain custom versions of some MS like Rezin's Geara Doga or Johnny Ridden's Gelgoog but not them as playable pilots, or the opposite with Schwarz being playable but not the Gundam Spiegel. Too few story modes too, two of them wasted on SEED Destiny and Unicorn to boot.
It was fine otherwise, I was glad they got rid of that dumb friendship mechanic.
my thoughts exactly.
I mean I can already play them on PC with high resolution and shit through emulator, but getting functional online co-op, cheevos and active forums would be a blast.
Getting all 4 games in one package would be even better.
1 and 2 have some highlights on their own, like pic related or villain Lacus sub-plot in 2.
As someone who likes Musou games, you were doing it right. Generally the spin-off Musous have better gameplay than the mainline DW/SW titles, but Gundam was the first spin-off to my knowledge, so it still feels dated and repetitive today. On the other hand, Persona 5 Strikers was amazing, but that's largely because piling all of the P5 mechanics onto Musou combat bumps up the complexity to a degree.
Here's hoping they make another sometime soon. Stuff like IBO should work really well for Musou.
Never been a fan of the musou combat system, but the interaction between some characters was much more enjoyable than any SRW entries, especially the more recent ones of the Scamco era
Crossfire was good and I have never pretended it wasn't. Battlefield Record and Breaker 3 exists. Though it wasn't my cup of tea, SDGO was beloved by /m/.
Loved Crossfire/Target in Sight, put hundreds of hours into it. Battlefield Record felt like a massive disappointment though, didn't enjoy anything about the physics or the floaty sense of weight, didn't enjoy how every mission seemingly went on for 20+ minutes either with not a lot of difference in objectives. Graphically it was underwhelming and the cutscenes which people were very excited about back in 2009 looked very cheap.
I enjoyed Battlefield's dungeon crawler-like experience with how the drops and stuff worked. Kinda felt like PSO with a Gundam skin. For me, the thing that felt similar to Crossfire was getting a new suit and feeling the difference in performance.
Is there any reason why you don’t just want to play this game? Artdink games was better than the musou games anyways

>Game genre based almost entirely on melee >Characters most suited for melee combat completely left out in favor of more shooty shooty suits >HEAVYARMS added over Altron or Sandrock >Entire G cast missing
If it ever does come back, I hope they build upon the relationship system in DWG2. Something about forcing Kira and Shinn to be friends was fun to me, or making Kira and Luna friends while Shinn is in contempt.
I'll never understand you weird nerds and your stockholme syndrome for this shit. It was awful. Melee in the Gundam universe is meant to be a last resort, you don't rush into close quarters with a beam sword by default, you do it when you're out of ammo.
Frick you and your stupid nostalgia over the last Gundam game with English voice actors, it would only work if it was all G Gundam.
I've always wanted to see a dynasty warriors srw.

Amazingly
Nothing says Votoms like melee combos!
Musou games have plenty of ranged characters in their rosters.
Frick yeah
Two birds with one stone: the game.
A comeback title could be a real hit.

>Shoot game bad, me love Naruto and Pocky
Yes.
Better than an RPG still.

I dunno about that, Exia is just acrobatic as she is the show.
>Exia
I meant quanta.
Too bad there weren't 00 s1 mechs in it.
I tried the demo for this back in the day and was legitimately exhausted from the button mashing before even clearing the demo stage. I had never played a Musou before and was assuredly playing it wrong, but hoo boy what a bad and lasting impression it left.

They did.
Good game.
Phenomenal game but some parts of it feel like Tecmo didn't try hard enough.
My only problem is Delta Plus being Tier 2 mech, or whatever it is called, meaning it has really small moveset.

I'd play and grind this shit all over again if they put it on PS4 store. I busted out my PS3 from hell just to play it again.
Considering WO3 just got dropped on steam, getting 3 or Reborn would be fantastic.
my thoughts exactly.

Licensed games tend to never get re-released because nobody wants to renew the license.

I remember Char being disturbed by Full Frontal and reflecting on what his clone says
Ah yes, the quality scriptwriting where Puru 2 reaches Puru and says "Die me!" and then Puru was dead
i want to believe
Gundam and good video games are like water and oil
Gundam has a better track record of video game tie-ins than most franchises.

I guess the real question is, did those titles sell well enough to warrant more?
The amount of new playable units they could add at this point since the last game is sort of mind boggling.
Man they sold so well they made 3 sequels
Jerid bullied into becoming a nicer person by Heero and Master Asia
They sold so well they ported them backwards to the PS2.
I wanna see Graham team up with Domon or Master Asia, and then learning the GRAHAM FINGER
Puru, Domon, and Millardo were kino in the first game. Sadly none of the later games did stuff like that.
SDGBA looks like the same general concept but actually good
>super deformedshit
If you're not into SD Gundam you're not actually into Gundam.
Better Gundam game than dynasty warriors Gundam so far, what’s your point?
Is there any reason why you don’t just want to play this game? Artdink games was better than the musou games anyways

Yeah I’m gonna play it. I just like musou games
different type of games anon, musou scratches very particular itch
It’s a hack and slash Gundam game I think you’ll be fine playing that instead
I will and have it preordered, but I want musou too, anon.
Musou go into a different stomach
I wonder why they won't port these games. I heard 2 and Reborn were bretty gud.
Laziness, just by the new games
I'm just sad we never got a Dynasty Warriors Gundam Empires
Holy hell that would be amazing. Although the recent Empires titles have felt a bit lackluster.
Even better, make it like SRW and bring in series outside of Gundam
Someone else said it first anon:
That would be cool but only if they let me mess with the cutscenes like in the original Empires games and marry Haro
I found a Chinese modding tooling that skips all that and lets you set your CaC's gender to a different one a long time ago.
Meant I want to be able to edit cutscenes AND I want to be able to marry Haro
Preferably Victory Gundam Haro
I know someone else said in another thread, but can we get a Kamen Rider Dynasty Warriors?
Battride War exists Anon

>Characters most suited for melee combat completely left out in favor of more shooty shooty suits
>HEAVYARMS added over Altron or Sandrock

Does anyone know of any other musou games for the pc? Preferably /m/ games.
