This is a great idea, but that being said this would technically be the original Ben 10K timeline from the original series because he's older but is still using the prototype Omnitrix instead of it being recalibrated into the Alien Force version.

It's one of those rare fanfics that are actually really good and not just really cringe. The author felt like many fans of the original show that UAF ruined it in many ways so his story deviates from where the first series ended after 'The Secret of the Omnitrix' movie and continues from there.
Essentially, the summer is over and they have to try to adjust back to normal life after all they've been through. I would recommend reading it just after having watched the original series again since it actually uses it really well in his story. Ben and Gwen, stay in character.
Verdona, Max's wife was implied to be dead in the original series, so she stays that way. There are no anodites.
The Plumbers Max was a part of are expanded upon and aren't some alien police force like in UAF. But something in between The Men in Black & the SCP Foundation meant to keep earth safe from constant alien threats
I would highly recommend the read, the first book is actually longer than Lord of the Rings, and there are a lot of side stories that expand on the universe. But trust me, you will get hooked, as I did.

That is explained in the story, and in the prequel to the fic, and the Ben 10 000 episode, A Stone in the River. Gwendolyn (in the show), went back in time to prevent Ben 10,000, the LM timeline is that timeline in the lore of his story.

It's one of those rare fanfics that are actually really good and not just really cringe. The author felt like many fans of the original show that UAF ruined it in many ways so his story deviates from where the first series ended after 'The Secret of the Omnitrix' movie and continues from there.
Essentially, the summer is over and they have to try to adjust back to normal life after all they've been through. I would recommend reading it just after having watched the original series again since it actually uses it really well in his story. Ben and Gwen, stay in character.
Verdona, Max's wife was implied to be dead in the original series, so she stays that way. There are no anodites.
The Plumbers Max was a part of are expanded upon and aren't some alien police force like in UAF. But something in between The Men in Black & the SCP Foundation meant to keep earth safe from constant alien threats
I would highly recommend the read, the first book is actually longer than Lord of the Rings, and there are a lot of side stories that expand on the universe. But trust me, you will get hooked, as I did.

That is explained in the story, and in the prequel to the fic, and the Ben 10 000 episode, A Stone in the River. Gwendolyn (in the show), went back in time to prevent Ben 10,000, the LM timeline is that timeline in the lore of his story.
