Riley is canonically a zoomer, and zoomers (as well as pansy millenials) think anxiety is an emotion. It's not. If you think it is, you're just a scaredy cat who can't adjust well in society.
We can't apply much logic to the world of the mind in the movie. It doesn't jive well with me to show the inside of everybody else's minds as their emotions looking like the person they inhabit but the same doesn't apply to Riley. However, the movie has been invaluable to child psychology as it allows children to better identify their own emotions. I think Inside Out 2 is expanding the emotions as to further help kids emotionally. While I don't think the new emotions are necessary, I didn't feel that Disgust was necessary either and existed more for comedy than the story.
I remember seeing an interview about the movie where they explicitly said they thought about adding Anxiety as a character in the first movie, but felt it was too similar to Fear to bother.
Anxiety can be considered a type of fear but it is also unique enough to have its own situations to apply to. >You're anxious about taking a test tomorrow.

Fear is the secret antagonist of the movie, the new emotions are all offshoots from him that are there to help him take control and protect Riley at all costs.
inside out would be better used as a tv series. i feel like this sequel is gonna have too much filler like toy story 4, finding dory ( didnt watch but assume), cars 3.

Disgust would represent distaste, unconfort, general social awareness, cringe, self-consciousness.
Anger would be resentment, annoyance, u get the point
