US (war)ship building has stagnated and gotten down right fricking moronic. Decades of blasting dune coon asses with drones let lots of Naval contractors make up snake oil solutions for shit, like the ENTIRETY of the LCS program and Zumwalt's le railgunz!!!! project. Even the new DDGx models are looking lackluster. That being said, our cruiser are still Aegis-having, massive-VLS-stocking ships that can bring metal rain on anyone who pisses us off.

they captured the personal feel and interactions well, but the action was straight Hollywood slop. Ships maneuvering like cars, comically evil nazis, really spoiled it for me.
