>it's McDonalds for three weeks
>"omg if you eat one more burger you will literally die"
did millenials actually believe this bullshit? Millions of Americans have been McDonalds for decades and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
>but McDonald's added a salad to the menu and served eggs all day after the movie!
what a contribution to mankind. pretty sure McDonald's would have added a salad and egg to the menu anyway.

What's weird is that in the flick he talks to a guy who only eats McDs and he's a skinny healthy guy
yeah, didn't the guy eat like 12 Big Macs a day?
i think it was 2 big macs and fries every day which would be most of that guy's tdee unless he was a rower or something
i wonder how he feels about being in the thing that got the supersize taken away
No he never ate the fries
12 was his record but he averaged like 2 - 6 a day. Most of his diet is literally Big Macs.
No, it was just a couple big macs a day tops, and he didn't even eat the fries. So it shouldn't surprise anyone that he's skinny, big macs are just bread and some shitty meat, far from ideal but not the worst thing you could possibly eat. The fries and the soda are the real killers from McDonalds.
I fricking hate big macs, quarter pounder is way better.
Agreed but that's unrelated to the health concern
>and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
obesity is the leading killer in america
our life expectancy is declining lmao
everyone dies from something and living 30 to 40 years post retirement with a rotting brain is a fricking nightmare
americans look like the fat people in Wall-e
thats no way to live and then die at 60 lmao
Obesity actually shrinks your brain.
>our life expectancy is declining lmao
Should have taken the vax chuddie
Heart disease and medical malpractice are the two biggest killers in America
you almost put it all together
obesity causes heart disease

Wasn’t this dude a huge alcoholic and it skewed his medical reports?
yeah he drank a fifth of vodka every day
For real?
Yeah that's why the throws up during that one part, he was hungover.
Don't believe it. I drink half that every day and after a few weeks my limbs ache and tingle and I talk with a built in slur
>Wasn’t this dude a huge alcoholic and it skewed his medical reports?
Yes, but if your results after 3 weeks of a McDonald's bindge are alot worse, doesn't that say something about the McDonald's?
Or it says you drank a shitload more while making your documentary
>Or it says you drank a shitload more while making your documentary
True, but if you are drinking a ton before the tests were taken, then you eat tons of McDonald's and your results are worse, doesn't that say something about the McDonald's?
no, because drinking yourself to liver failure in the first place would skew the results moron
>no, because drinking yourself to liver failure in the first place would skew the results moron
He was drinking before starting the documentary. Wouldn't that have shown up on the initial results?
>alcoholics lie
ground breaking results from this film
keep in mind he has never released his 'food diary' for the duration he claims he kept
He lied to his doctors, they specifically asked him if he drank alcohol and he told them he didn't.
Did he do a baseline? I watched this like 15 years ago so I don't remember
he was eating like 4kcal a day because of the moronic rules he set for himself that nobody would ever do
Yeah, this whole movie was a moronic sham and they loved showing it in schools
>eats nothing but McDonalds (and also binge-drinks)
>symptoms include erectile dysfunction, liver damage, vomiting, etc.
>literally all of it has to do with his drinking (not mentioned in the doc)
>comes out, becomes a big hit
>group of med students watch it and smell bullshit
>mimic his exact diet (minus alcohol, plus regular moderate exercise)
>they all LOSE weight by the end of the experiment just by practicing CICO and staying active
It's almost like people will want to blame literally anything on their obesity other than themselves
source that he was binge-drinking? No, an off-hand tweet 20 years later doesn't count.
>Millions of Americans have been McDonalds for decades and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
America has a lower life expectancy than even China.
>USA worse than china
Ooopps…
>47
>below Thailand
holy shit
It tops out at like 85. You’re arguing over fractions of a year for the most part.
good countries you want to live in are near the top. ones where you arent on diabetes medication from 35 years old because you are a fat POS your entire life.
they dont die at 60 you knob they live until almost 80
if you think life after 80 is worth living you clearly never have a grandparent who went through it
>Below Thailand
I didn't go one day without seeing multiple car accidents happen in front of me or that had recently happened. It's a nice country but the roads were just non stop chaos. Funnily enough it's only responsible for 4% of their annual deaths but If USA is below them with average life expectancy something is going seriously wrong.
mcdonalds added salad but rarely ever is it ordered
vast majority of it is thrown into the trash as it expires
they only serve it for public image at this point
Well a salad would be the least nutritious item on the menu
My dad always gets the “healthy” options at fast food joints and it’s always gross. Cooked wrong, expired, lifeless soggy salad. I don’t think it’s ever been a good experience.
Customers that even try to order the health options get shafted. They might as well not be there.
ROCK AND ROLL MCDONALDS
KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN AND-A PIZZA HUT
>hey if you eat McDonald’s for every goddamn meal you’ll be unhealthy
Idk what israeliteery was behind this but no one was shocked at that revelation. The 00’s had a bunch of these type of moronic “documentaries” that were really hit pieces against something .
And they all fricking sucked
>your liver is one I would only see in the most severe alcoholic, can you explain that?
>MUST BE THE MICKEY D'S DOC, LOL
frick this homosexual
>Millions of Americans have been McDonalds for decades and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
You really think the main issue here is fast food? Just look at all the additives in food you buy at the store, more people are likely to eat that shit.
Or is fast food still that cheap? Last time I went to McDonalds in Germany I paid 18 € for a couple of funsized burgers (they like to raise prices AND reduce the burger size here), meanwhile I can get a decent meal at a restauraunt for roughly the same price.
thats messed up
WALL-E incoming
deboonk'd
>someone pointed out our food is unhealthy, what do we do?
>make better food?
>nah let’s permanently smear the guy who pointed out how unhealthy our food is
spurlock me too'd himself and admitted that during filming he was a rampant alcoholic. HE did that. Not Ronald McDonald or the King
its fast food you dumbfrick if people wanted healthy food they can go buy a bag of apples instead
>my liver is failing must be the mcdonalds
>did millenials actually believe this bullshit
Yes and no. People still went to McDonald's but they stopped actively asking you if you want to supersize it when you order a meal because of this movie.
>Millions of Americans have been McDonalds for decades and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
who's going to tell him
Do non-Americans realize that in America McDonalds is poor people food?
it's not the 90's, poor people can't afford to eat mcdonald's as a daily source of calories unless you're black and receive snap benefits.
>Before the 30-day experiment, he said, he was in a “good spot” healthwise. By the experiment’s end, he reported experiencing fatigue and shakes (trembling, not Shamrock). Most disturbing, and most widely reported, was that he had suffered liver damage. The New York Times review was headlined “You Want Liver Failure With That?” The doctor examining him during the experiment said the fast food was “pickling his liver” and that it looked like an “alcoholic’s after a binge.”
>Fast-forward to December 2017, when Mr. Spurlock issued a #MeToo mea culpa titled “I Am Part of the Problem,” detailing a lifetime of sexual misdeeds. As a result, YouTube dropped its plans to screen his “Super Size Me” sequel, and other broadcasters cut ties. But overlooked in all this was a stunning admission that calls into question the veracity of the original “Super Size Me.”
>After blaming his parents for his bad acts, Mr. Spurlock asked: “Is it because I’ve consistently been drinking since the age of 13? I haven’t been sober for more than a week in 30 years.”
>Could this be why his liver looked like that of an alcoholic? Were those shakes symptoms of alcohol withdrawal? Mr. Spurlock’s 2017 confession contradicts what he said in his 2004 documentary. “Any alcohol use?” the doctor asks at the outset. “Now? None,” he replies. In explaining his experiment, he says: “I can only eat things that are for sale over the counter at McDonald’s—water included.”
lol, it's the McDonald's bro
We had an English teacher in high school around the time it came out who forced all her students to watch that movie every year. I remember being confused and repulsed by it for reasons other than what she intended. The scene where he gets halfway through one of their meals and then has to step outside and pretend to vomit to make it look like too much food for one man is the most embarassingly staged thing I've ever seen in a documentary. It was a really a formative experience to see how an adult I thought was really intelligent at the time turn into a complete moron just to have her biases confirmed in the most theatrical way possible.
it would make a good topic for deconstructing propaganda (if public schools were interested in anyone learning to do that, lmao)
The world would be unironically a better place without fast food, moronic contrarians like op are like battered housewives defending their abusive husbands
>morons stab their eye with a fork
>TIME TO BAN FORKS LADS!
Would be an argument if fast food was marketed as “unhealthy shit you’d never eat if you knew what was in it” right next to the “eye stabbing fork”
everyone knows what's in fast food, moron, do you really think some video you saw with 100m views is occult knowledge?
Even if 100m was unique viewers, that’s about 1% of the global population.
>eating fast food is like stabbing yourself in the eye with a fork
… what is the next move in your brilliant plan?
One guy proved on Cinemaphile that you can basically live off Mcdonalds if you made better choices with the stuff they have on their menu. It was cool actually.
McDouble and yogurt parfait
>Millions of Americans have been McDonalds for decades and there hasn't been a mass fast food-related die-off.
Because it's not poison, it's just unhealthy food. But luckily, thanks to modern medicine we can keep a fat piece of shit alive far longer than they should have any right with medicine and surgery.
To be perfectly and unjustifiably fair to McDonald’s, the worst thing about what he ate was the supersize fries. Which would be mostly the cheapest plant/seed oil money could buy, which was never fit for human consumption. Which barely anyone ever ate all of. Much less two or three times a day. Since then the largest size of McDonald’s fries is smaller than what larges used to be.
It was all their burgers and fries, nothing of their chicken stuff, salads, wraps, anything. There is low cal options, but people don't go to Mcdonalds to get stuff like that. Big mac, double cheese burger, fries, mcchicken, quarter pounder, nuggets, and their regular cheese burger. That shit's for people to add to their meal and make it "healthy" and not even realizing the amount of calories, fats, sodium, and saturated fats they put in their body.
He only supersized 9 times. There's no way that's enough to measurably damage your health.
>current largest is smaller than supersize era large
also costs more, indicting more expensive oils in the fryer.
This tanked McDonalds for awhile but Americans can't live without their goyslop as definitive proof in this thread. They will defend their multibillionare fake cheeseburger place for free.
Did you read the thread? It's the opposite.
What is funny to me is the fact that they immediately told him to stop drinking coke and just focus on the food, completely ignoring the fact that coke is the more dangerous product and would make a more interesting (or helpful) documentary.
mconalds meal comes with a gallon soda lmao.
i agree soda is the real problem btw but mcdonalds has no problem giving you a gallon of it with every meal.
>Order a beef steak, bread, salad, and sauce in a restaurant
>Nobody cares
>Order a Big Mac
>NOOOOOO THATS UNHEALTHERINO YOU WILL BE FATTO AND HAVE HIGH CHOLESTERINO
the steak will be cooked with a slight amount of oil, salt, and pepper. the bread will be fresh baked with no preservatives. the salad and sauce will both be fresh.
not even going into all the other shit mcdonalds does to their "food"
>the steak will be cooked with a slight amount of oil, salt, and pepper.
it will be cooked with a bunch of oil and then lathered in butter
>the bread will be fresh baked with no preservatives.
the bread will be made from frozen, half-baked, preservative-loaded restaurant supplier bread
>the salad and sauce will both be fresh.
salad will be nutritionless iceberg lettuce and the sauce will come from a packet.
have you ever eaten at a restaurant before?
just say you've never cooked or had a proper steak before.
I have had a proper steak before, at home, not at a restaurant. home is where I eat fresh baked bread without preservatives and fresh salad with HOMEmade sauce.
I don't eat at restaurants, because I don't want to pay out of my ass for shit quality food when I can eat better at home for a fraction of the price.
sorry bruh, you got rocked by
lmao this homie thinks red lobster is fine dining
Are burgerbrains seriously this dumb?
You don't know what damage highly processed food does to your body?
There's a huge difference between a burger made with fresh ingredients and the toxic crap they feed you at McDonalds.
don't forget the part where he compared a mcd patty to a steak
Zoomies are such corporate wienersleeves dude it's not even funny.
>AAAAAAAAAAARGH! You supersized me! I'm going insaaaaaaaane!
>H-h-h-how many chips?
>AAAAAAaaah too many chips.
Fricking grow up.
>makes documentary about finding Osama Bin Laden
>doesn't find him
>did millenials actually believe this bullshit?
i remember being in a freshman uni class where we watched this and then were going to talk/write about it and everyone thought it was bullshit. the prof tried to push on everyone about the evils of fast food though and that's the reason why he was so fricked up.
>Least goyslop overdosed american
You don't need healthy options to be a great fast food franchise. Five Guys is a great fast food franchise.
I did know know that drinking 64 oz's of non diet soda was bad for you. this film changed me
even the diet soda would frick you up too
