I unironically prefer cutscenes from late 90s computer games over the animation in this show. you can only avoid the uncanny valley completely by putting in the same effort you would have to if you were to draw every frame, this show just uses shortcuts.

Arcane is an interesting meeting place for these two groups, one group sees only trannies when a character has colored hair, and the other group sees only lesbians when two female characters not related by blood grow close to each other.
I don't think I've ever watched a film/show that made me actively think "Holy shit this is a bad soundtrack and it brings down the entire experience". Almost always when we say "bad score" we just mean that it's unremarkable or not interesting in any way. It takes some real skill to make a score so bad that it stands out.
People always go on about how great the artstyle is but it looks so ugly, granted the animation is smooth but Boarderlands/walking dead style art looks so lazy and unappealing

It really should not be as good as it is. A YA cartoon video game adaptation of League of Legends? With two lesbian main characters, overt class warfare undertones, made a studio that has never done anything longer than a 5 minute cinematic? Almost every ingredient for this to be a total disaster was there and yet it ended up being one of the best things of the entire year. I only hope it wasn't a fluke and they can keep it up for season 2.
