I loved the movies/books growing up but then I also escaped into movies/books constantly to avoid facing the reality I'm an ugly autist with zero redeeming qualities. As far as helping child me forget that temporarily, I will always have a special place in my heart for the franchise.

Daniel claimed he lost his v card to an older woman and there's behind the scenes stuff with Bonnie flirting with Daniel

Supposedly it was some makeup artist but I don't believe that claim

Was it hbc or the makeup artist who fricked with Daniel?

It was pieced together after the Harry Potter special basically confirmed it.

From that Harry Potter anniversary special:
        >Helena brings up a love note Daniel wrote her after she asked for his autograph
        >Dear HBC, it was a pleasure being your costar and coaster, in the sense that I always ended up holding your coffee," the note reads. "I do love you and I just wish I'd been born 10 years earlier. I might've been in with a chance. Lots of love and thanks for being cool."
        >Radcliffe hesitated reading that last part, but Carter encouraged him with a laugh. "You can share," she said.
        >"Isn't it nice? I shall always treasure that. That is in my toilet, Dan," she added.
Years before that, Daniel once said:
        >"I lost my virginity to an older woman. I won't say who. But the age difference you might find surprising."
And, in addition, Helena's romantic life is interesting:
        >the whole house wrecking she did with Kenneth Brannagh and Emma Thompson
        >Since 2018, Bonham Carter has been in a relationship with art historian Rye Dag Holmboe. Holmboe is 21 years her junior. Regarding their age gap, Bonham Carter told The Times in 2019: "Everybody ages at a different rate. My boyfriend is unbelievably mature. He's an old soul in a young body, what more could I want? People are slightly frightened of older women, but he isn't. Women can be very powerful when they're older."

As a young boy, you're more likely to simply think with your dick and jump at the chance for any opportunity for sex but the women I did it with was nearly 50 and I was just 16 and she wasn't exactly a looker and did things I was honestly uncomfortable with but I didn't want to pass up the chance to lose my virginity. Needless to say after I went home, the weight of the experienced crashed down on me and I was a bit shaken after that.

In retrospect the films cut out way too much stuff, and all the wrong stuff
    >never establish who the Marauders are despite calling two of them by name later
    >Cut Dobby down from 5/7 books to 2/8 movies
    >Did Barty Crouch Jr completely wrong
    >Cut all the Voldy backstory from 6 and replace it with more teenage romance
    >Don't mention that Gaunt's ring had the Resurrection Stone which is pretty much the entire reason Dumbledore died

The first two movies were the best as the cinematography in general fit the bill of kid/ family movie. Columbus pulled the Spielberg/ Joe Johnston style beautifully and the movies feel completely at home with movies like Hook, Jumanji or the pagemaster. There is a marvelous and surreal fantasy aura about the world they create through dramatic lighting, well chosen lenses and some over the top art design. Plus the movies did not stray too far from the books.

Cuaron movie was also pretty good but the change of tone that favored realism over fantasy is very noticeable. Everything becomes more subtle and loses dramatic impact from more realistic depictions of adolescence to plain simply less magical and imaginative world. Some could argue the change of style is fitting because it goes hand to hand with how the characters grow and their world becomes darker but i´m still not a fan of that.

4 and 5 kind of keep that train of thought but already start butchering the plots. In The order of the phoenix this is kind of to their advantage though as even Book Harry became an insufferable little b***h.

Movie 6 and 7 and 8 are were movies completely shit the bed. Not only cinematography goes full twilight but the plots are completely butchered. Book six was probably the darker and most mysterious book and the movie is pretty much a bad romantic comedy. It barely explores Voldemort´s past and it doesn´t explore Snape past at all.

Book 7 was pretty weak but explored Dumbledore´s past in detail. Harry was supposed to doubt him, he was supposed to start questioning the plan and feel as enticed as Voldemort to go after the deathly hallows. Plus Harry was supposed to diss all over Voldemort on their final fight by taunting him and calling him Tom in front of everyone. To say the last 2 movies fall short would be an understatement

Absolutely this. Despite not being a fan of the series, I recognize the magical work inspired by old Spielberg that Criss Columbus printed.I hope that these types of films are recovered in the near future either in the reboot of the saga or in other franchises such as Lord of the Rings

It's hilarious how even though J.K Rowling hates homosexuals, the series she created is so entrenched in homosexual culture. I work a job where I go into peoples houses every day and every time I'm in a gay couple's house there's ALWAYS Harry Potter books on the shelves. Harry Potter is for homosexuals.

She likes gays and made dumbledore gay because gay people on twitter wanted dumbledore to be gay so just retconned/retinserted that he was gay despite there being no evidence of it in the books.

She dislikes trannies so she's in a tough spot that she pissed of chuds with her virtue signaling saying dumbledore is gay and shitting on pewdiepie for no reason, but now the chronically online mentally ill tiktok teenage libs hate her because saying trannies aren't real women is worse than murder

I marathoned them recently. Overall they are pretty enjoyable. There are lots of nice visuals, but they leave out so much plot from the books. and it was one of the last big movies with british people. I hope the TV series is good, but it will probably be blacked

Looking back on it, I'm sure we can all agree that it was - without doubt - one of the dullest franchise in the history of movie franchises. Each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.

Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody, just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.

    >a-at least the books were good though
    "No!"

The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."

I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
