The precedent for retroactive changes being fair game in the setting was already set decades ago when they started doing things like changing the necrons from terminators to actual people with personalities and introducing new armies like the tau from nowhere. That was a model that was sculpted for GW after one of the twins blew off his dominant hand firing a reproduction canon he built and he had to relearn how to sculpt. the perry Twins also sculpted the less chunky figures from the LoTR games original release.

The precedent for retroactive changes being fair game in the setting was already set decades ago when they started doing things like changing the necrons from terminators to actual people with personalities and introducing new armies like the tau from nowhere. Warhammer isn't a setting like dragonlance where the timeline and stuff is super important, it's just a way for games workshop to sell plastic toys.

That was a model that was sculpted for GW after one of the twins blew off his dominant hand firing a reproduction canon he built and he had to relearn how to sculpt. the perry Twins also sculpted the less chunky figures from the LoTR games original release.

Check out Perry Miniatures and Foundry Miniatures, They sculpted all the GW lord of the rings stuff, Foundry is their old brand but they're still updating Perry, Otherwise google historical 28mm and there should be hundreds of other brands by non-GW sculptors, My favourites are Empress Miniatures
