zoomers think all media is a morality play. everything that happens on screen is an indication that something is good per the creators. hannibal lector escaping means the movie is saying cannibalism is good

Even in the 80s and 90s everyone was like “HMMMM STAR WARS WAS GOOD MOVIE BUT WHERE IS ***THE MESSAGE****”

Everything had to have a point about society, marxist thinking already took over society

Sokka's sexism was a product of the environment he grew up in, and it was actually handled really well. He learned his lesson and they never talked about it again. I'm glad they're dropping it, because in the current year, they would make it much more preachy and he'd never hear the end of it.

Because it wouldn't be development. It would just be shitting on him as a character and I don't want to see that.

There was only a lesson to be learned because it's a fantasy world where women are no longer inept.

What's the fricking attraction of watching a live-action bootleg of an animated series? it's never going to look as good because you have to CGi everything, the actors are usually shit and it's always going to be compared to the original. It's such a fricking obvious cash grab that most won't even bother with it.

I assume its yet another attempt to cash in on the franchise, by a group of executives that couldn't know how to cash in on a popular franchise if they were literally drowning to death in money.

they should just not say this stuff. don't talk about what you're changing. i bet most people wouldn't notice if you didn't talk about it.

The whole reason Suki respects him is because he puts his pride aside to learn once it becomes clear he’s wrong.
Is he just going to become a turbo simp in the adaption?

Here's what James Rolfe had to say about this situation

    >As a curator of film I feel responsible to let you know. As much as I recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender, there are some scenes that contain racial stereotypes which aren't funny whatsoever. It was wrong back then and it's wrong now. So that's something as a word of precaution. But as a whole, it's a great show.

When Sokka called out the "fireBlack folk", I admit I did think he went too far.

we really are degenerating as a society mentally.
Getting over his sexism was a major character development for him.
It has been all downhill since the early 2000s.

They’re entirely right. Optics and how things play in a cartoon and live action are very different.
