>Company that’s only capable of making sequels and bad remakes is upset people are able to make better concepts for films via shitposts
Disney isn’t a serious company
>better concepts
Don't kid yourself. This is about their logo being on all that hitler shit.
I’m just saying that if Disney was smart, they would’ve stole some of the “concepts” from the less offensive memes and make those into movies.
And yes, even the Hitler film would be better and probably more useful than Toy Story 5
Probably not, they just don’t want their logos being generated anymore. There’s way too many Disney characters for Microsoft to blacklist.
They're probably already got a warehouse of concept ideas and I've yet to see a single AI generated meme that's any kind of interesting or workable concept.
Anon, you and I both know this isn’t true. Disney spent most of it’s existence ripping off stories from European fairy-tales and American folk stories. And the creations they did make were from other artists Walt took credit for. Characters like Donald Duck and Goofy were only given personalities because of hardworking creators like Carl Barks. And the characters we all know and love are thanks to the Nine Old Men who put up with Walt’s bullshit and mediocrity
Disney is known for not having an original bone in their body. That’s why Pixar went to shit once they fully acquired them in 2006. Now they are only able to make endless sequels to Toy Story, Frozen and other slop that only white women with no personalities care about. Realistically, some middle schooler trying to create George Floyd in AI with a Pixar logo slapped onto it is probably much more of a creative than anybody writing Disney movies nowadays. And that’s really fricking depressing. While morons like this
celebrate Disney taking action. Never forget that they are the reason nobody in America takes animation or art seriously and are only viewed as children’s entertainment. Oh and they also use AI themselves as well to push out the slop that bottom feeders like Yanks eat up endlessly.
good post
>Walt’s bullshit and mediocrity
I wish this fact was more commonly accepted. Watch any animated short drawn and animated by Walt himself. It's all boring, uninspired drivel about the same subjects. Every single one.
Walt was an abysmal artist, even in the 1920s. Even putting that aside, he only viewed himself as a businessman rather than an animator or designer. His “child” Mickey wasn’t even his, It was Ub Iwerks and was only created after they lost the rights to Oswald, another Iwerks creation.
By the time the 50s came, he pretty much ditched the animation field entirely to focus on ventures like the theme parks and his vision for a utopia that floundered horribly.
>celebrate Disney taking action
You reap what you sow. You could've stayed in your containment threads instead of pissing off everyone by spamming multiple boards with your slop.
>they would’ve stole some of the “concepts” from the less offensive memes and make those into movies.
Like what, the abortion or gangbang ones?
based but brainless post
Disney has myriad great ideas and thousands talent artists, that is not their problem.
>we make films for pedophiles and the nazis hated those so please stop
its not about the conecpt, but the use od the trade mark itself and potential damage it could do to the brand
Is not Microsoft's fault that people are so stupid to fall for baits without checkingKVJMN official webs
This is what happens when people are moronic. It doesn't matter who's fault it is if Microsoft's fault or not. If Microsoft can't control it's users. Disney will sue it and shut it down.
>and potential damage it could do to the brand
Seriously though, I've seen reactions to what were very obvious memes, and I can't believe how many people just blindly believed they were real movies no matter how crazy they were. I lost count of people swearing to boycott Disney forever for "making a terrible movie" that literally never existed. Only because the logo made them believe it was real and they needed further confirmation. No wonder why thousands of people get scammed every day if a logo is all it takes to convince them that something is legit.
>and they needed further confirmation
Jesus Christ I can't English today. I mean, they DIDN'T need further confirmation.
>"HItler... but Pixar! LMAOOOOOO"
Peak humor.
I'll allow it.
Cinemaphile legacy thing.
Shit, does that mean they're coming after Judy Hopps and I can't make her be an actual cop anymore?
>actual cop
>NVGs
>Mcdonald's patch on the "cop"
What the frick LMAO
SWAT can't do shit against the hamburglar, you need your own paramilitary for this shit now that he joined forces with the latin burger kings
Th is is the future your parents voted for, do you want fries with that or five years?
American cops get decked out in surplus military gear all the time
Based Disney, frick AIslop.
But I thought that, legally speaking, no one owned AI generated images? How could they possibly sue Microsoft over something Microsoft doesn't own?
Because Disney is powerful enough to call out AIs for doing exactly what they are doing, scrubbing and dissecting copywritten material for datapoints to recreate it with AI. That's what they risk being sued for, not the creation or existence of the images themselves.
Disney owes their logo. They can sue anyone using it without permission, and MS' AI can copy and does copy their logo on fake movie posters flawlessly.
It's not exactly a hard thing to copy
Anybody with a pen and a piece of paper could do it
>Disney owes their logo
for trademark. don't forget to add that.
ai generated art cannot be use for trade just like you can't trade ocean waves.
but you can use both things to create your content
They don't own the images, but they do own the generator that makes said images, making them culpable for any damages they cause.
You can't be held liable for a product that you also have no claim to the value of. If I cannot own anything an ML model generates, I shouldn't be liable for things I don't own
Isn't it just their logos they're mad about? The rest is still fine to source.
Really? Anything related to Cassandra from the animated series?
I have not seen Cassandra, no.
Nobody is suing, it's just one mega corp asking another, like a good friend.
Dalle is already a censored product, it will just be slightly more so 😉
>speaking, no one owned AI generated images
Have you somehow missed on all the suing that the AI caused for using already existing images protected by copyright?
They don't look like the Disney/Pixar style anymore. RIP
AI cannot be trademarked so you cannot violate trademarks
This has nothing to do with the issue. It doesn't matter that ai art can't be trademarked. It's still using a trademark and possibly fooling people into thinking it's the real thing. That it bystander can look at something made by AI and be confused by it to think it's the original is enough to violate copyright. It's why fan games are C&D'd.
The AI threads on Cinemaphile are 80% Rapunzel posting so it doesn't seem to have worked.
>Takes two seconds to put on top of the new render
Wow great job Disney you destroyed those heckin piraters
Isn't this fair use? Their logo is everywhere on the internet.
could it work?
I do wonder how would they handle the scenes with her crazy ass daughter
This sounds like Nintendo trying to stop piracy or fangames
So no Hitler movie? Bummer...
needs Ann Frank and a cute puppy behind Adolf
cleaned up version
If AI creates new white characters it'll never infringe on Disney
>Disney wants to ban the Pixar logo in AI-tools
So you gotta spend an extra minute to add it in manually in photoshop now... whats all the fuss about???
>cartoonbrew
Pixar has really gone to shit since Lasseter left
his hugs were the only thing keeping the company together
what's over?
Learn to read, homosexuals.
>Durrr learn two reed
Disney won't make a Hitler movie, don't be stupid.
Well, they should!
Whatever makes AI less appealing. I'm not about to stop 2 moron titans from fighting.
Nah, they are still gonna use it, they just don't want filthy plebs using it.
Of course, that's why shit like the SAG-AFTRA strikes are needed as well at a minimum. The genie is probably not going back into the bottle but it's a good start.
Careful now, too much meta discussion will trigger the AI janny who'll ban you for off-topic discussion
Gross
Stay in your containment thread, fricking streetshitters.
That aside, thank frick this is happening. Now we might actually get rid of some of you morons that think typing words makes you an artist.
Protip: It does not. You will always be nothing but a photobashing thief.
madgays belong on /twitter/
I couldn't use the word 'Disney' anymore last week without getting the serious warning, but 'Pixar' still worked fine.
>asked
This is how you can tell Disney is out of money, because they didn't sue.
>people being tricked by generic garbage into thinking its the real output of Disney is the fault of AI and not Disney
>instead of improving, Disney just demands bans and laws
How's that capitalism in art going?
Artist properties and Disney properties are being used to train AI. Sure, Disney doesn't like their house style being used for other projects and racist memes because even if they change styles or had more variety they'd still be connected to what's being used and it will still be using their assets without permission but... yeah there doesn't need to be a but here. Disney sucks, but their argument can be the same as small time artists' but it doesn't have to be.
Now you will have to actually use your own AI for your low-brow 'jokes'.
