>The original is better than the sequel
No!
Also TS2 >>>>>>>>> TS3 >>>> TS4
>The original is better than the sequel
Not that anon but I think his point was… yeah, of course it is
Toy Story 3 baby!!!!!!
Imagine Andy's reaction when he finds out she lost Woody
That's why he's there for the rape correction.
>There's a snake in my pants
>I still have another Woody
Why does he look like a wojack?
>It's overrated, and Toy Story 1 is better
Anon, please explain how it's overrated.
Even when it was just 1 and 2, literally everyone said 1 was better. Now that we have newer movies, the only one anyone really says it's better than is 4.
Do you have to put the truth into a troll format?
Cinemaphile thinks otherwise.
Toy Story is Woody's franchise.
3 is 2 and tries harder to redeem the villain but then goes lol nope anyway. I don't even remember what the bear wanted.
Some people don't like Andy giving up Woody because the plot wasn't about accepting change, it was about rejecting it, again, for the second film in a row, and getting back to Andy, for the third film in a row.
And the meaningless death scene was moronic even before the claw ex machina.
>And the meaningless death scene was moronic even before the claw ex machina.
Elaborate?
Everybody's been talking about Lightyear and Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, and I realized that Toy Story 2 was Woody's movie. Everything surrounding this film (with the exception of the video games) was Woody-centric. I don't know how many of you remember, but a large chunk of TS2 merch was based around the world of Woody's Roundup: tons of toys with Woody on Bullseye, a whole line of books that acted like they were tie-ins for the TV show, and an album literally advertised as "WOODY'S Favorite Songs" that acted as a mini-in-universe lore dump about the Roundup characters. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07BTOHAqq3o
Futuristic SciFi stuff was more popular and that's why they made a Buzz cartoon back in the 2000s
VHS was the most comfy video format ever. HD was such a mistake
That trailer for Fantasia 2000 made me flashback to seeing the film in the cinema with my parents and grandmother.
1 > 3 > 2 >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Garbage > Shit > Cancer > Seeing Red >>>>> 4
>Seeing Red
What?
I liked the PS1 game alot

I dont think ive ever seen anyone say 2 was better than 1.
1 vs 3 is the debate
Until 3 came along, it was almost universally agreed that 2 was better than 1.
>1 vs 3 is the debate
This debate shouldn't even exist, the sunnyside part of TS3 is absolute trash
That's weird because 3 essentially recycles 2's plot
TS3gays only praise the last 10 minutes, they probably don't remember the rest
Toy Story 3 is pure kino tho, the whole escape from SunnySide is amazing.
>TS3gays only praise the last 10 minutes
That's how most Pixar movies are. Most people don't give a shit about most of the movie other than the part that makes them cry.
True, that's why if UP was a 5 minutes long short nothing of value would be lost
it's definitely to blame for animation sequels becoming theatrical. They were direct to video before, with some very rare exceptions (Rescuers Down Under and Fievel Goes West)
the moment Shrek and Ice Age turned successful, they inmediately greenlighted a theatrical sequel, since Toy Story 2 proved how profitable they could be
>it's definitely to blame for animation sequels becoming theatrical
what's the issue? we ended up with some really great movies that way
pic unrelated
bad movie
this film just doesn't work. Neither main character is likeable. Po is unfunny and annoying, while the peawiener is an unsympathetic prick
I thought you fricking homosexuals told me sharktalegay was banned
He was, now he's either ban evading or worse, the mods decided to lift his permaban in their infinite wisdom. Now he insists he's changed and all that but still won't listen to anyone telling him to frick off against all sense of reason.
i think it would have happened anyway
there was a big shift in the popularity and respectability of sequels in the 80s and 90s
it's a bit stressful with the perspective always changing between Roundup Gang and the rescue mission. It feels cramped due to 95% of it happening in 2 days. Third act goes overboard with the action scenes (the Zurg stuff is filler) It pays too much lip service to the first one, Wheezy is a plot device, and some of the comedy is cheesy. Overall a good sequel, but more flawed than most care to admit
You're not an interesting person
I agree with this.
I like zurg though.
well then the plot device is my favorite character
the ending credits gag was funny though
And you're the gay that toy story 2 was pandering to
>It feels cramped due to 95% of it happening in 2 days.
How long did the first movie take?
1 week at least
you will never be sharktale gay
Toy Story 4 was the nosedive and Lightyear was the atomic explosion of the franchise. Lasseter would not have allowed Lightyear to be released with that screenplay/ script.
false
It's a really, really close call but 2 just barely, JUST barely edges out.
Never understood how Woody was clueless about his origins when Buzz recites his right out of the box.
There's a theory that Woody was manufactured before Woody's Roundup came out, and Jessie, Bullseye, and Stinky Pete all were released during the show's run.
I always just chalked it up to it being so long since he was new. Like the toys eventually forget their origins and start just taking on whatever traits the kids that play with them give them. Like Woody and Buzz are always they dashing heroes, but if you look at Potato Head and Hamm, they're usually the villains in Andy's games and their personalities are a lot more acerbic.
TS2 is okay, but TS1 is better all around.
It DOES however have that really heartfelt flashback for Jessie and her owner, which that alone outs it about TS4
TS1>TS3>TS2>>>TS4
I love Toy Story 1, because it's the funniest Pixar film by far. It's one of the best comedic premises in any film ever - one is a jealous straight man, the other is a deluded but serious. Their struggle produced so many great scenes and moments, plus their ending and resolve was so good.
TS2 is great too, but the character gimmick being removed makes it a lot less clever imo. TS3 is just another adventure but with a sad ending.
1 - 10/10
2 - 8.5/10
3 - 7/10
I'd say 3 has a very slight leg on 2 simply cause the bad guys are more interesting.
Stinky Pete and Newman are not very threatening or even challenging to our heroes compared to 3's.
Lotso is a terrible villain, his motivation is laughable
And what the frick are they going to do with the piss?
Did a woman write this?
>Did a woman write this?
Why would that make a difference?
I'm just wondering how it could so badly misunderstand how men piss.
Woody and Buzz actually change in the first film, so yeah, I agree with you there. Toy Story 2 also seems a lot less memorable than the first one to me.
Seeing Woody and Buzz work together and being bros was cool. In fact, Buzz being heroic and risking everything for Woody when they used to be bitter enemies is honestly extremely refreshing and inspiring compared to how cynical films are now. Plus we got to see the other toys a little more. Toy Story 2 isn't as necessary as the first, but it's still pretty great.
what if as a farewell to pixar, we got a full refresh on toy story 1 based on pixars latest graphics capabilities, no woke changes or anything, just toy story 1 with better graphics?
