It's kind of pointless to compare. Wonder Woman was $11M and Broke a billion. Aquaman was $9M just like Flash, and that also broke a billion. Guardians couldn't, Quantumania bombed HARD with $400M, and going by the math Spiderman won't either.
Marvel watchers rush into the theater as fast as possible to consume as they were taught and wait for the next. Dc movies on other hand, if they're good, they sale. If not, they don't. It's just that simple.
From what I've seen the only ones who hate it are the one's going in to WANT to hate it. I've yet to find one review on Youtube that says it's anything below really good.
>Wonder Woman was $11M and Broke a billion.
It didn't even get close, are you thinking of Captain Marvel? Even that had to have real impressive legs to make it to a billion after a $20M Thursday.
9 million is actually really fricking bad for a multihundred million blockbuster.
So bad that I actually think the projections are wrong. That's a level of failure where executives are already starting to write their announcment of leave.
WB spent 200+ million on making this film and spent probably well over 100+ million, if not more going by how much WB lauded over them spending a bunch of money marketing this film, on marketing. All for it to be getting mediocre returns. They spent way too much on this film.
Very mixed. If you go on Twitter much of the reaction is like "Wow this CGI is trash" and "Barry puts baby in microwave" memes. And that's not getting into the CGI cameo discourse.....
Context matters, that's why you even have guys predicting less than Black Adam WW. China isn't helping like before , Guardians 3 had a good audience reception but couldn't reach the average 100M+ marvel movies used to. Aquaman specially is a bad comparison as it came out during December where there's way more room to grow and capeshit hype was at its peak after IW, remember Thanos was trending even in sites like pornhub.
My mom was literally bawling her eyes out at the end. Something she never did for any comic book movie before. Stephen King was right, normies are going to eat this movie up so bad.
Isn't that really good?
For a movie that cost $250-300 million....no.
For comparison, Quatrashmania, Spider-Verse, and Guardians Vol. 3 grossed around $17 million on Thursday previews.
Only Shazam II's $3.4 million is lower.

So it's fricked.

The new AM talk radio?
Better than the drones here
Luv me Tim Conway Jr
I guess Warner hasn't shut off the money valve to shills just yet.
moron
If you don't understand why 2017 and 2018 feel like forever ago I don't know how I can help you.
(Also those were GOOD movies, were made on lower budgets, and have better CGI than whatever the hell this has.)
Wonder Woman made less than every Guardians movie, what the frick are you talking about
>Wonder Woman made less than every Guardians movie, what the frick are you talking about
It made more than the first
>Wonder Woman was $11M and Broke a billion
Anon...

>HERE'S HOW THE FLASH CAN STILL WIN!
>Isn't that really good?
It's neither good nor bad. Because we're talking about previews.
For a reliable sample that allows you to predict the movie's success you should look at the opening weekend.
I mean it’s less than the most recent animated Spider-verse movie, if that tells you anything.

It's approaching "executives are looking at who's heads will be rolling for this shit" levels of bombing.

How good or bad is that for a blockbuster movie?
A $9 million haul puts this movie in the same ballpark as Venom ($10 million), Doctor Strange ($9.4 million), and Aquaman ($9 million).
>and Aquaman ($9 million).
So it'll make a billion!
2018 is a different universe from 2023. Capeshit's been tanking left and right, with only Spider-Verse and Guardians Vol. 3 being successful thus far.
Sounds like it will have to rely on having REALLY good word of mouth.
What’s the audience consensus so far?
Very mixed. If you go on Twitter much of the reaction is like "Wow this CGI is trash" and "Barry puts baby in microwave" memes. And that's not getting into the CGI cameo discourse.....
Should've also spoiler tagged that baby one. Shit....

So this metric doesn't give a good idea of projected success in the first place?
Spider-verse made twice as much the same day.
If you remove the dishonest woke bonus it actually only made half
>
It's been a long time since the Flash has failed this bad....wait, no it hasn't.
The Batcomputer is a real dick
But that's good. Great, in fact.
Not for a film that costs upwards of 300m.
Fricking Miles made 17m on Thursday.
Final Thursday night number at $9.7 million.
Still not great...
>PostTrak 60% recommend
I'd say heads will roll but I'm not sure there are any left.
>Going up
Can't wait to see how this board melts when it passes 500M and keeps going
It's not making it to 500 million you dumbass. It's ww opening weekend is already going to be smaller than Quantumania
>Black Adam dabbed on Shazam 2 even without China
>About to shit on The Flush
Holy shit, the Rock was right.
It includes fan screenings.

Haha wow
My mom was literally bawling her eyes out at the end. Something she never did for any comic book movie before. Stephen King was right, normies are going to eat this movie up so bad.
Does it matter if it sucks? Thought it's sole purpose was to rest the movies to start fresh.
Money wasted is money wasted
At this rate I project a $65-$69 million domestic debut.
Not saying breakeven is impossible but man, WB better hope Barbie does gangbusters or else it's bankruptcy in a few months.
Of course, Flash could do gangbusters overseas but I don't see that happening.
It's out in many markets and isn't doing that great
I figured. I heard a lot of presales were being canceled once scenes with bad CGI started leaking out.
