It's weird to me that this didn't get more popular. I know it was briefly but I'm talking like digital circus levels of popularity. This show is much better imo and it makes me sad we will never get a second episode. I wanted to see how the rest of the tournament turned out and the Japanese emperor just being a neck beard was pretty frickin funny.
Well this is my theory
Are people really that off put by subtitles?
It's just insane how TDC exploded. By all accounts its pretty average. I enjoyed it but I don't think it's worthy of the hundred million something views it has. Punch punch forever was just so much more funny and charming. If a new episode is in the works then that's great. To be honest I don't really keep up with the creator.
Like the other anon said about things going viral, TADC's success was at least partially forced. Memes and Tumblr Sexymen go a long way, Punch Punch Forever having neither.
Personally I don't mind that it's generally obscure. I'm more bothered that the milf and older sister were forgotten so quickly. They're fricking hot. Speedo's a genius
Damn I love Sapporo beer. It's so good.
There are plenty of things that are crazy popular for some reason. It's best to not obsess over it.

>It's weird to me that this didn't get more popular.
You're moronic.
>By all accounts its pretty average. I enjoyed it but I don't think it's worthy of the hundred million something views it has.
That's because you're thinking about what you want, and not thinking about what the average YouTube-watching moron wants.
Americans can't read.
people need to learn they how to read gooder
Just use AI to dub it in English.
What is this fascination with popularity and TDC? How hard is it to understand that there's a difference between good, popular, and viral? Speedo got a lot of positive reception and seems to be working on another episode.
Just looks like shitty porn bait
>looks like
Most of digital circus' views are "worldwide". Since they made other language audio tracks, youtube pushed the video to other countries. It also has a ton of lore bait, which is bigger than anything now. 80s anime references aren't as in as they were 10 years ago.
I liked both, but one is clearly going to be more popular in today's environment.
My little abuelita
All the random visual gags were the best part.
That car crash absolutely killed me
>we will never get a second episode
why not
it failed because it's coomer bait. Girls can sniff that shit out from a mile away and will stay away.
TADC is coomer bait too but coomer bait for girls can be as simple as "a guy who's mean" or "a guy who talks funny" or other stuff that doesn't require derailing your entire show in service of porn
I disagree. There were sexy girls in it but the focus wasn't on them or how sexy they were. If anything TADC is coomer bait. Have seen how much porn there is of every single character? It's crazy.
>but the focus wasn't on them or how sexy they were.
(You)
Part of the blame goes to Youtube shadowbanning it for a period.
It’s STILL shadowbanned.
But why? Nothing about it is explicit. Is it the gore, or Youtube just not willing to go back and correct its mistake?
I know Speedo's got a history of making cartoon porn, but that still wouldn't make much sense if said porn were always posted outside of YouTube. The algorithm is fricked.
>but I'm talking like digital circus levels of popularity.
Because there's no males
I now ship demon king with the Japanese emperor.
It would have gotten more recognition if youtube didn't ban the video from being searched
>It's weird to me that this didn't get more popular. I know it was briefly but I'm talking like digital circus levels of popularity. agreed. This deserved better. I would contribute to making more if I could. Is there a patreon or ANYTHING?
It sucks. Just watch anime, gay.
Speedo's account was flagged as not Youtube approved. His past videos on the channel earned that, all the various ass, breasts, blood, racist jokes, nudity, boobs, toilet humor, butts, women, naked, naked women all checked off a box so he would never be allowed to trend. So while gay shit like the Circus shows up in people's recommendations, Speedo never will. You have to manually find the video yourself one way or another.
What about other platforms? Or a new channel?
The answer to both is he would need to repopulate his initial user base he cultivated over years.
What happened to his user base? Where'd everybody go?
Because Speedo is one person while TADC resides with other groups who have their own fanbases and share the same account. The animation, characters, and the setting also brought in people to watch it. Also
Ena>TADC
The farts and moron faces didn't grab people.
A lot of the humor in punch punch is meaningless to kids, and kids are invested in the mystery aspect of digital circus, even if the mystery is very simple. Again, digital circus isn't a bunch of reference humor to dragon ball episodes from 1987, it stands on its own while punch punch relies on referencing old media.
I don't think doing the whole thing in Japanese is funny or worthwhile. Digital Circus launched with multiple dubs so it had a worldwide audience, Punch Punch requires you to read english text or speak japanese.
Why Japanese?
