when an American household fire alarm needs its batteries changed, it makes a loud cricket-like chirp every 30 seconds
it's a proven stereotype that black people in America don't change the batteries in their fire alarms, thus every livestream/tiktok/twitch/etc that's hosted by an American Black person ALWAYS has a fire alarm chirp in the background
>blacks don't change their fire alarm batteries
What could possibly be a reason for that?

Atheists define "good" the same way religigays do - whatever you personally believe is moral. They just do so without the extra step of pretending their imaginary friend agrees with them.
>whatever personally believe is moral.
So they don't define good at all. Got it. The good is a nebulous web of subjective personal feelings according to you.
>exactly the same as religious people
I don't think that's how that works. They have this thing called a religion. >pretend their imaginary friend

The fact that there are a billion religions and even other people within your very particular sect hold different opinions and interpretations of "God's Will" is irrefutable proof that it's simply your subjective opinion and you're pretending this concept of "God" - which is an extension of your ego - agrees with that subjective opinion of yours.

Like I said, and I'll keep repeating it until you come to terms with it, even other people in your own congregation disagree with your personal interpretations of what "God" wants, and use the concept to justify their own wants, needs, opinions and biases. It's all ego and trying to appeal to a higher power to push your own beliefs. Intellectually honest people just say "Here's what I believe and here are my justifications for it." Their opinions rest on their own merits, they don't need to pretend a deity agrees with them and will punish you for disagreeing. It's childish.

It does. "Good" is an invented and subjective human concept. It clearly does not exist in nature and no two humans can entirely agree on what it is. Therefore an objective good provably does not exist.
lol surprised this weak as shit argument is still used in current year. You guys are still in you richard dawkins 90s phase.
Different opinions of what is true doesn't mean there is no truth. If you follow that logic, nothing can be truth because from political ideologies to sciences there is disagreement on what is true.
No one said anything about truth a single time in this conversation. Objective truth does exist. Objective good - the actual subject being discussed - does not.

I've already done it. "Good" is simply an opinion. Opinions are by nature subjective. Nobody on this planet entirely agrees on what "good" is, and it's subject to change from minute to minute even within your own brain. By nature it cannot be objective.
>Objective truth does exist.
Do you have an example?
The concept of truth is unbiased reality. If I do something and no one sees or knows, and I even forget about it myself, it still objectively happened. The concept of truth has nothing whatsoever to do with what is "good", which is an opinion, a subjective interpretation of events.

No. "Good" is an opinion. It is by definition impossible for an opinion to be objective, as it varies from person to person. It literally cannot be objective. I guess I have to keep repeating this over and over. >Also irrelevant. Our capacity to understand something doesn't make it real or not real.
No. Once again, what is "good" is an opinion and has nothing to do with what is "real". Example: the food you eat is objectively real. Whether or not it's "good" depends upon your interpretation of it. I don't know how or why you're mixing up these two entirely different concepts. >Nonsense. We can't even prove basic things like the external world or other minds. Your personal actions are not objective truth.
Whether or not you can prove something happened is irrelevant to the reality of its occurrence. No one in the world may know something happened, but it still objectively did. Have you heard the phrase "There's your truth, my truth and THE truth"? THE truth here is objective truth, unbiased reality. What happened in the physical world, the effects of which will echo throughout eternity. What you believe happened, and how you interpret it, do not impact the unbiased reality. So, my personal actions are indeed objective truth. I objectively did what I did. Whether you or I remember it, whether I was consciously aware that I did it, whether you can prove that I did it, whether or not you are personally affected by it, are all irrelevant notions. The truth is that it happened.

if objective good is false because people disagree about it, then objective truth is also false because people disagree on it
people base their subjective opinions on their perception of truth. If objective truth is true someone must have a subjective opinion that conforms with it. If all subjective opinions are false than is objective truth knowable?
what is the difference between a truth and an opinion? everything goes through your subjective perception, so you can't know if you perceive truth or just your own opinion so at the end of the day everything is your opinion
so if truth exists how can you know it without divine revelation? You can't know anything. Is A = not-A true? logic tells us no but how can you know that? You can't test logic with logic. Theists can accept the truth of logic as divine.
If you are simply saying that there are no judgments of value in material reality, then sure I agree but saying 'not real because no agreement' dumb. The conclusion to that is nihilism and I never seen an atheist who didn't make value judgements. They just build a new moral code around the axiom that 'suffering is bad' even though it contradicts their entire philosophy from the get go.

Gentlemen, odds of the writer being a -bern, -stein or -witz?
It's so painfully obvious when a israelite dreams up a scenario where he shows or tells a nazi what for and we, the audience, bother to watch this obvious mouthpiece wankery.
I have been seeing a lot of threads about how woke Fallout is, and it got me thinking about my favorite show Lost. Its interesting that it has a lot of "woke" stuff in it, but never felt forced or poorly written. Like for example, them countering the "brown people are terrorists" stigma. I was thinking about Sayid's flashback where he stopped a suicide bombing. They clearly depicted the dude who was going to do it as a Muslim extremist. And yet they still get the viewer to have some sympathy through some nuance showing that loss can drive
a jaded person to do horrific things. These days they would never even think to imply Muslims can be terrorists on TV.
I think what people consider woke is a spectrum. Personally, I feel like anything that feels artificially inserted for a political idea is at least slightly woke. Like the ghoul has a black daughter, or that all the grunts they kill are white. On their own, its not that bad, but when you start seeing all these little things that were clearly inserted for an agenda, it adds up to be like a death to 1000 scratches. I think its a Hollywood tactic, do a bunch of these little things, that if anyone calls out one individual thing, they will seem racist/sexist/homophobic, so they can slowly mind break culture.

I'm 3 episodes into Fallout and I don't see how people think its woke.
Is it just because there is a black guy as one of the three protagonists?
Yes, and they eventually have interracial sex. People think it's some israeli subversion trick along with the enby bos soldier
On the contrary, a ton of the random mooks they kill are diverse. Goggins daughter being black might be the only woke-ism I've noticed so far.
He's not even some alpha black guy. He's kind of a coward who is trying his best to do what's right.
if only israelites weren’t cowards outside of their fictional revenge fantasies
