I don't care for The Simpsons. Yes, even the good seasons.

This honestly. I get the appeal but personally I never got into the world and characters (the sitcom dynamic, even if it's a satire, is super uninteresting). Plus the dated references.

amen. although I'd swap britain and france, the british stuff's more in line with american comics and the french stuff is more unique in my experience.

France has a lot of interesting stuff, from what I’ve seen/heard. The only British comic character I know that’s pretty popular (at least over here in the US), is Judge Dredd

Comic books are for children and manchildren. There's some good cartoons out there but not since Over the Garden Wall. I wish adult animation was more than "we can say frick and shit and there's blood and breasts," it's all so fricking juvenile. I still come here for webcomics but webcomics are fricking dead.

3D animation at its best is better than 2D animation at its best. People only shit on 3D for replacing 2D because most companies cheap out and/or are full of talentless nepobabies so their work looks inferior in quality. 2D frame by frame is an archaic and unnecessarily time wasting effort and 3D can produce art equally as good looking in a faster time and without crunching the frick out of underpaid staff.

I never finished the latter seasons or movie(s) of the Venture Brothers and am not particularly interested in changing that. I preferred the first couple of seasons when they didn't go so heavy on the overarching plot/lore and it was just a silly parody of Johnny Quest.

Their personalities change quite a bit later on in the series but I don't blame you and I'm not gonna twist your arm to stick with it either, despite the fact that you hate the parts I liked.

Man, this. The show changed for the worst after season 4. You can practically see AS wearing away at Publick and Hammer as the show went on. Bless them for trying to stick to their vision despite the network limiting them, but it just wasn't the same.
But heaven forbid you call it anything but a masterpiece.

I keep up with news about action cartoons and comics, and form opinions that I bring up in casual conversation.
I do this so my wife thinks I'm interested in comics and cartoons in general. It's a strategy because what I'm really interested in is comics and cartoons and anime and manga about little girls. This way, whenever she catches me reading or watching e-girl stuff she just thinks it's my eclectic taste and general interest in animation and art. I don't actually watch or read action comics and cartoons, I just pretend that I do.

Of course she does. And I love her, and I'm attracted to her, and we have a sex life, but I also happen to like little girls so I watch cartoons and anime with e-girls. It's called being a non-exclusive ped.

I still think the Avengers are a lame discount Justice League and the X-Men were the real meat and potatoes of Marvel. The d*sney mandates to sideline the X-men for movie synergy and the MCU making them push the Avengers permanently ruined Marvel for me.

I’m not sorry, but I know this upsets a lot of people.

nah, you're right. I haven't really enjoyed Avengers stuff since I was a kid. and I agree, MCU synergy is ruining the comics and it fricking sucks.

I keep writing green texts and making posts about lesbian characters because I want to create the perfect pair and I’m trying to feel out the reactions

I’m sick and tired of the way modern media uses gay couples for easy diversity points without putting in any thought, and since I have a chance to join the industry in a couple years, I want to eventually show them how it’s done

ive only read 1 cape comic outside of Cinemaphile storytimes. it was some random free avengers comic i got from a store my dad took me to as a kid. it was my first experience with a comic, and the fact it was a random issue with no context or anything made me dislike comics from then on. storytimes have basically undone that idea for me, a bit.

Garth Ennis writing on The Punisher Max is not as good as people make it out to be.
