My only interaction with Oracle Babs is the Arkham games and kid me who never read comics was quite confused as to why Batgirl, as I had no idea Cassandra and Stephanie existed, was in a wheel chair.
She survives Gobbo's drop, finds out Peter's Spidey, and blames him for her injury and father's death.

There was an idea that the comics would portray her as a basic Yandere but then TAS would make her into a Punisher type anti hero due to censorship and every adaptation following it would do so too
Ironically, it seems kind of cliche considering how many of Spider-Man's villains are already people that are stupidly blaming him for not saving the day. Hell, the Jackel is literally someone who's a villain because he's mad that Spidey didn't save Gwen Stacy.
The Jackal, Peter's biology teacher, fell in love with Gwen Stacy while he was teaching the both of them at university. When Gwen died, he blamed Spider-Man (since it was reported by the Bugle that he had killed her) and created a clone of Gwen (as you simply do) to lure Peter into a trap, where he had him fight a clone of Spider-Man.
Then a couple of years later, this all culminates in the Clone Saga, which is its own set of worms. This is common knowledge, c'mon.
Easy fix, a crippled Gwen becomes his research assistant, and convinces/seduces Jackal to use the clone tech to help her get revenge on Pete. In the final battle Spider-man can save her from whatever, and she decides to drop the vedetta till picking up venom.
Sounds pretty hot, but wouldn't it be chat tied to the chair watching Peter and Emma go at it?
I mean that was basically Emma's plan in the comics when she wiped Chat's memory - steal Peter from her
