Adult Party was hated by a lot of people back then, even by some people who took John K's side in the Nick firing debacle. However, people did praise Ren Seeks Help the most of the episodes. The Mr Enter era is only significant in that he managed to convince his viewers that Ren Seeks Help was bad as well.
Ren and Stimpy's charm came from working around the censors I agree. It was only a mild fancy to see Adult Party's episodes going mask off on all the innuendos. The best episode of Ren and Stimpy's *Not Gay but Really* was the "Stimpy's Son".
South Park was always "edgy" but Ren and Stimpy started off as being actually edgy. Adult Party Cartoon took the cleverness out of the original premise of the cartoons for kids and adults.
>Beautiful backgrounds and animation >Cute and sexy girls >Great facial expressions >Memorable scenes >That fat mexican guy was funny >Ren Seeks Help was dark and deep >Dr. Mr. Horse >Man's Best Friend finally aired >Uncut version of Big House Blues >Ralph Bakshi >Life Sucks could've been a classic
So why all the hate? It's NOT the worst thing ever.
It's not even Mr Enter, nobody cares about that guy
It's John K, he became what Donald Trump is to Reddit, Justin Bieber is to 2009, and Barney is to edgy 6 year olds, aka >OOOOOOH I HATE THAT GUY SO MUCH... T-that's the script I'm supposed to repeat, right? Erm... Who is he again?
what? dude, hating barney as well as dora the explorer was big with kids who juuuuust grew out of liking both of those shows, and suddenly decided it was childish and everyone on the playground would make fun of them, singing "dora she's annoying" and "I hate you, you hate me, let's all go and kill barney"
You think it was a conspiracy or something? Like the fans all decided to get together and boycott the show? It was just a half-baked late night cartoon, these come and go all the time even if they’re by John K
>As far as I remember it wasn't exactly "loved" in general, at most it just wasn't as hated as it was after Enter's review
Also, consider the fact that Enter presented APC as an already infamous cartoon. Enter is a moron, but he's to arrogant to say something so verifiably false if the show was actually liked.
>The series premiered on June 26, 2003, and was removed from the network on July 24, after airing only three episodes >During its run, Adult Party Cartoon was heavily panned by critics, audiences and fans of the original series

Pure revisionism. Here’s a contemporary positive review:

Pretty much every season of SpongeBob after the movie.
Yeah there were bad episodes but it wasn't as bad as people said it was. Going back and watching the show you can tell just how much is just autistic overreactions.
They not only whine about Spongebob having fun animation now but also defend the beanmouth garbage it competes wirh and soars past with their life. toon reviewers are a cancer.
I could tell the show was declining when I was seven years old with no internet access. The post-movie episodes just aren't as entertaining and memorable on average.
I have the DVD and after learning about the details between Katie Rice and John K in their bonus interviews. It very hard to go back and watch them again. At first you're thinking oh that is cute, a life long fan was inspired by his work. 90s gross out humor carried on beyond being stupid little boys. Girls liked it to!
No thou, John K literally had direct private contact with her when she was like 16yo. I dont care who you are, but you dont do that. That is creepy. Surely if this was not an issue if John K gave the same treatment to other fans like pen pals.
This is what creeps online feign ignorance about. Creepy incels who are heading into their 30s still a virgin wanting prime 16yo pussy. No shot bro, it aint happening.
You put way too much trust in irrelevant artists screeching into their cheap microphones. I wouldn't have ever heard of fricking Mister Enter if not for idiots like you.
>Adult Party Cartoon used to be loved
No it wasn't, it was universally panned and cancelled before the entire season was even aired. The writing, directing, editing, and pacing of the episodes were complete trash compared to the original series. And it just wasn't funny or entertaining.

John K is simply more trouble than he’s worth and after more than two decades of so much discontent and anger all around producing only these 3 episodes and one massively delayed short at such a massive sunk cost, John K’s name has becoming increasingly frustrating to hear. His individual work you can say is worth it, aside from everything, but that leaves you talking about like 1 total hour of animation in 20 years, it’s just not enough. Sad to say no matter what the quality of his work is, John K is just a nuisance to be involved in as a fan or otherwise, it affects people’s memory of his work and it affects his reputation
That's not true, though. Adult Party Cartoon was always considered either meh or bad. The biggest criticism is that we needed more episodes like that beach one, and less with gay jokes and shit like that.
no one cares about this spike tv show that aired like twice in the first place
If it was so beloved, why did it get canned after 3 episodes?
Because John K went overbudget and didn’t meet deadlines, nothing to do with its reception.
How is anyone supposed to love or care about a 3 episode cancelled show
>mr enter
what the hell? I haven't heard of that guy in a decade, didn't he kill himself or something
No, he's currently reviewing every episode of High Guardian Spice. Just one more to go.
It was panned long before he Entered the scene
>15 votes to 132
OK.
It was disliked long before YT cartoon reviewers were a thing, zoomzoom
Disliked by butthurt Animaniacs and Disney fans who hated John K simply for not liking their favorite cartoons.
Blaming Animaniacs is the cope of the John K cult

Can someone explain to me why people hate APC but love South Park, when the latter is even more shocking and gross than the former?
South Park was always "edgy" but Ren and Stimpy started off as being actually edgy. Adult Party Cartoon took the cleverness out of the original premise of the cartoons for kids and adults.

I can tell you are over 30, because children don't know Barney, and I haven't seen Barneyposting in a decade
what? dude, hating barney as well as dora the explorer was big with kids who juuuuust grew out of liking both of those shows, and suddenly decided it was childish and everyone on the playground would make fun of them, singing "dora she's annoying" and "I hate you, you hate me, let's all go and kill barney"

You've never been on Cinemaphile before, have you?
It's not the worst, but it's still not good.
I love APC but yeah no, As far as I remember it wasn't exactly "loved" in general, at most it just wasn't as hated as it was after Enter's review
Most people look more at the negative parts of it than the positives. Being compared with the original series probably doesn't help too much as well

Reminder that EW notoriously have Drawn Together an F rating, and they liked APC. What does that tell you?
>gave, not have

>TAKES CONTROL OF SQUIDWARD'S HOUSE
Didn’t it become good again?
There are some real stinkers and a ton forgettable episodes but there are also a lot of great jokes buried
They not only whine about Spongebob having fun animation now but also defend the beanmouth garbage it competes wirh and soars past with their life. toon reviewers are a cancer.

That's 15 fricking votes dude

Hazbin coming out really invited a lot of women on this board
I'm a guy my dude!
Really?
Family Guy
That guy whose parents divorced because this show was justified in hating it
Why do people keep referencing this very
obviously fake story?

Wow!! That certainly makes up for all the negative reviews and the show getting fricking cancelled after 3 episodes.
Actually there were plans to greenlight more episodes, but John took too long to make them that Spike TV said frick it.
Can you show me some of those negative professional reviews the show got BACK WHEN IT AIRED? Whiny John-K-haters on ToonZone don’t count.
What the frick?

I thought it sucked when it came out and I was the direct demographic. It was nothing but "lol boobs" or "lol Ren and Stimpy are gay now" jokes.
Broken clock yadda yadda yadda a point is still a good point even if someone you despise said it
Both of those vote amounts are too low to say anything of value
there's nothing more pathetic on this board than John K. threads
I was THERE when APC came out, we were all disappointed.
That's not true, though. Adult Party Cartoon was always considered either meh or bad. The biggest criticism is that we needed more episodes like that beach one, and less with gay jokes and shit like that.
Nah that show is kinda mid on it's own. The creator is cool though.
Similarly, the Valentine's Day episode of Fairly Oddparents.
All of them
>It used to be loved!
lmao no it didn't guy
It was dog shit from the word go and everyone knew it
CatDog
>Adult Party Cartoon used to be loved
no the frick it wasnt, that shit was gross for no fricking reason
Horrid Henry in 2024.
Was the show that bad? I saw it as Johnny Test tier.
People only hate Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island because Mr. Enter hates it
The only good thing it did was start the career of Eric Bauza.
