>The Mighty Thor
The sad thing is, I actually thought the first movie was pretty good. It wasn't until the sequels that they utterly buttfricked his portrayal.
idk, Scorr Lang was actually saved by the MCU
Guy literally back from the dead and got couple of good solo runs. Before that he was just the second Ant-Man and Bendis punching bag
Writers didn’t know what to do with Rocket. He was a boring one dimensional space soldier before the movies. After that we had half a dozen different takes on the character but that’s not the movies’ fault. The problem is a lack of a coherent vision for the character. Every author is allowed to throw shit at the wall and hope it sticks.
>He was a boring one dimensional space soldier before the movies.
t. never read the character
You can’t do the original design without it looking ridiculous. Using the Ultimate design made sense.
Not with that attitude.
Its superhero comics. He's supposed to look like a superhero, not a gay clubber.
Monster High, Ever After High, Tinkerbell, LOL surprise dolls. The possibilities are endless.
Monster High had a movie a little while back, guess it didn't make a big splash. Disney for some reason seems to have given up on the Tinkerbell brand in favor of... whatever the frick are those movies they've been putting out.
Polly Pocket, Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony? Bratz again?
I kinda liked the MLP G4 movie. Wonder if the current gen is pleasing the kids.
Bratz movie was surprisingly alright, but it's been a while, wonder if they'd give it another shot.
Fraction's Hawkeye is like Peter B. Parker from Spider-Verse. His personal life is a bit of a mess and he can be kinda goofy, but when he suits up/ when it's time to get serious, he is very competent and gets shit done. Unfortunately, a lot of writers only remembered the first part and turned him into a flanderized incompetent idiot. That being said, some writers are trying to reverse that situation so Hawkeye may be fixed after all.
To be fair it was a combo of MCU and Hawkguy but the point stands that he's a joke character now and I hate it
It still gave him the shit non-costume he had for ages, and started the trend of dunking on Clint to make Kate look better. Freefall is the only decent Hawkeye content we've gotten since, and Zub's Thunderbolts went right back to treating him like a joke
Those Netflix shows were terrible maybe outside of Daredevil. Speaking of, putting Jessica Jones in the spotlight instead of ignoring her like most writers do is also a shitty decision. She's never been an interesting character and her one story is not good either.
>Reboots and revivals of middle-of-the-road shows and movies. >live-action reboots of animated shows like One Piece >adaptions of YA novels
One of these, something easy for a casual to digest.
i think hunger games and some other one already had a big run during the early MCU peak. i do wonder what the next big thing will be, i remember before heroes, there was a point where zombies were everywhere.
>You can blame Ultimate universe for that.
Wasn't the point of making Ultimate Fury black just so they could point to it as canon when they cast Sam Jackson for the movies?
From what I recall hearing, they just decided to draw him as Sam L. Jackson as if he were "cast" for that. Later on, he said it was ok, as long as he got to play Nick Fury in future movies.
Sam Jackson is a big fan of comics, so you bet that if Marvel makes a joke about putting him in one of their movies, he's going to take that dead serious.
Comics Drax has been a doofus and a competent dangerous dude alternatively, the MCU just fused them into a slightly dumb dangerous guy, I don't think it's a bad adaptation.
I'll always laugh at anyone who says they were a huge fan of Iron Man since before the movie. NOBODY gave a shit about Iron Man before the movie, the only notable Iron Man stories before it were Demon in a Bottle and Extremis. Prior to the movie, people were probably more familiar with Black Sabbath song than the Marvel character, who was a decidedly C-list hero notable only since he sometimes hung out with Captain America and Spider-Man. I distinctly remember there be a general atmosphere of "Why the frick did they make an Iron Man movie" back when it came out, and nobody having any faith in it whatsoever.
Now that's just wrong, it took way too fricking long but the second movie saved him from staying forever as a villain douchebag. He turned things around better than Hank Pym.

Now that's delusional, Cap was about as much of a C-lister, too.

Yes
Oh, where to begin?
all of them
>The Mighty Thor
The sad thing is, I actually thought the first movie was pretty good. It wasn't until the sequels that they utterly buttfricked his portrayal.
They really ruined Walt Simonson's Rangarok run
I like both for different reasons. I just accept that they are two separate things.
malekeith too
How has COMIC Thor taken anything from MCU shit? You guys dont even know what you're talking about half the time
Remember what the fangirls did to Loki, and answers becomes clearer.
idk, Scorr Lang was actually saved by the MCU
Guy literally back from the dead and got couple of good solo runs. Before that he was just the second Ant-Man and Bendis punching bag
Actually true, it literally saved him from the grave.
Yeah. Even if they get written better it'll still be inspired by the MCU.
Rocket Raccoon

Bratz movie was surprisingly alright, but it's been a while, wonder if they'd give it another shot.
He was ruined by that incarnation though, not the MCU.
Shit character to begin with.
Makes sense.
Fraction fricked him up good.
Fraction's Hawkeye is like Peter B. Parker from Spider-Verse. His personal life is a bit of a mess and he can be kinda goofy, but when he suits up/ when it's time to get serious, he is very competent and gets shit done. >Peter B. Parker from Spider-Verse
>read fraction hawkeye
Cuck comment
Fraction's Hawkeye's "goofiness" is pozzed cancer on its own. It's ruined the entire run, despite Aja's excellent art.
I never watched Spider-Verse.
To be fair it was a combo of MCU and Hawkguy but the point stands that he's a joke character now and I hate it

>ruined forever
So cringely dramatic. Yeah, he's too goofy, but a writer can just tone that down going forward.
Not exactly full MCU, but the Iron Fist and Luke Cage from those Netflix shows
Bendis did more damage to Luke Cage
>Bendis did more damage to Luke Cage
really only through forcing Jessica Jones on him. In terms of modernizing the character, it wasn't so bad (although he was handled better by others)
Those Netflix shows were terrible maybe outside of Daredevil. Speaking of, putting Jessica Jones in the spotlight instead of ignoring her like most writers do is also a shitty decision. She's never been an interesting character and her one story is not good either.
Hawkeye
Did they frick up more than when they started using the Ultimates look as basis?
The shitty synergy clothing and turning him into tumblr tier woobie joker into his replacement girl comic. so yes.
You can’t do the original design without it looking ridiculous. Using the Ultimate design made sense.
>superheroes look stupid
No shit
Except Spider-Man. Dude works in everything.
It's almost like he came from the circus or something
Kamala
Nobody is going to remember the MCU in 10 years anyway, it's just too much of a chore to watch every movie AND every tv series.
So what do you think is going to replace the MCU as the premiere low common denominator entertainment?
>Reboots and revivals of middle-of-the-road shows and movies.
>live-action reboots of animated shows like One Piece
>adaptions of YA novels
One of these, something easy for a casual to digest.

>there was a point where zombies were everywhere
Until it was too much, I guess.
Barbie made a billion dollars, so probably girls toy movies.
Polly Pocket, Rainbow Brite and My Little Pony? Bratz again?
Monster High, Ever After High, Tinkerbell, LOL surprise dolls. The possibilities are endless.
>It's a chore for him to watch a movie
Zoomers need more physical abuse.
Sitting through one MCU movie is already torture
>It's torture for him to watch one movie.
Maybe you should do something that involves physically moving.
No, typing all day at a computer is not physically moving.
30+ movies and Tv series?
Yes, its the same reason people are put off by shonen anime.
You're delusional/coping AND a moron, stop watching til tok please it ruins your attention span and how you perceive media
>til tok
Starlord
Not really. He appeared recently and was exactly like his old space hero self. Seems like being comedic was just a phase for him in the comics.
Nick Fury will never be white again
You can blame Ultimate universe for that.
You can blame ultimates for a lot of shit.
>You can blame Ultimate universe for that.

In a better timeline, he'd just play a more fitting character. Maybe Robbie Robertson, who unfortunately got no screen time.
This
Blame Bendis for that, the HOFF as Fury would be better
Nah man
Black Nick Fury is Sam Jackson. A reboot would use white Fury to differentiate.
Comics Drax has been a doofus and a competent dangerous dude alternatively, the MCU just fused them into a slightly dumb dangerous guy, I don't think it's a bad adaptation.
>I'm mentally handicapped
Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 has the best on-screen depiction of every Marvel character who is in it.
dc
penis
Iron-man comics were rarely ever good but it became significantly worse due to MCU synergy.
I'll always laugh at anyone who says they were a huge fan of Iron Man since before the movie. Yes
When was the last time Drax acted like a cringe Gunn's character? Back when the second movie came out?
Nick fury
Superman
