Spider-boy is the most recent example.

Bailey is actually likeable and isn't an OP Pet and has no designs to be Spider-Man. He's happy to hang with Peter and find a family.

Especially after they made him gay and AquaMAN. Poor choices on both counts he barely was Arthur's sidekick for even a minute before becoming his successor.

    >forced and dishonest popularity status
    What does that even mean?

a character whose only fandom is artificial and made up of people that do it only because supporting it it's the woke thing to do.
Like how Milesgays never read his comic but champion him for being Peter's replacement because being a black spider-man is more important than his character having anything worthy of time.

Ok, but thing is How do we know a character has dishonest popularity status.
You might say it is forced because someone tries to push it? even if that is a stretch you could argue that. But how do you know that something has a dishonest popularity status?
        How do you measure that?

when the factual ammount of support it has it's not based on merit, on character progression or shit, but simply for being black or gay.
Like how the only reason they shilled John Stewart is for being black and make him go "I suffered racism because I'm black" to reach that kind of market

yeah, I get this one. She was ok in her first showing, but holy shit she has felt incredibly forced.

The real answer from Star Wars is Ahsoka post-Rebels..

rebels is a shit show, it makes canon that the Rebel Alliance had 3 jedi in it right from the inception, and they all disappear right about the time Luke joins and no one ever mentions them to him.

the most forced shit i see is conservatives picking a mediocre thing that's 'not woke' to shill to stick it to a popular woke thing that's out at the same time.

like the alita angel movie. entitled manbabies supported it because it wasn't captain marvel and insisted it had a better female, better feminism and 'less annoying'. it was all over the board and it's not even /co

I take Alita over Carol the prostitute failure of a super hero Danvers.

So you just believe that everything corporate America does is good and any objection to it is solely politically motivated right or left?

    Cyborg HAS to count.

Cyborg is practically ancient compared to some of the other characters in this thread.

So is Carol and she is forced as shit. Cyborg being forced into everything Justice League over much worthier characters is a blatant example of what OP means.

I refuse to believe anyone actually likes the Disney Era characters. There's a reason Darth Vader's series is the one everyone talks about.
