ITT: Duncanville thread

Now that the show has been cancelled on FOX, what are your feelings about it? Favorite and least favorite episodes/characters? Do you think there's any chance of it being renewed, either on an online streaming service or another TV network?

(Also, which episode is pic related from, again? I forget.)

I hope that Hulu picks it up. Frick FOX. Nobody watches television anymore.

While I’d be fine with Hulu I think Duncanville would be a good fit for Peawiener, that app needs animated family sitcoms

It was a 6.5/10. I liked the characters, the writing could have been tighter but it made me laugh at least once per episode even if only slightly.

Your picture is from Witch Day 2, OP.

And might I suggest ‘Free Range Children’ for some ‘similar’ content.

I enjoyed the show but I admit I never kept up with it regularly, only caught it when I remembered or noticed it was on. Sorry about the cancelation guys, that was my bad!

I loved this show, though it did have a slow start. RIP, unless it goes to a streaming service.

I'm disappointed. It improved a lot after the first season and I enjoyed watching it.

I like that you really felt like characters learned episode lesson even if they didn't always show it in later episodes.

Besides not having a clear hook, this is one of those situations where I do feel better visuals would have helped. I don't blame the animators, it's Fox who makes the call, but it's so close to being successful that just a little more support from fan artists, a little more visibility on social media, would have put this show over.

Maybe a different fricking title too. Who in their right mind thought 'Duncanville' was unique enough to stand out? Not even five seconds of research will tell you why that's a terrible idea.

I had the feeling the show had a lot of executive meddling early on.

I was seriously expecting in the first episode/season for the town to be renamed Duncanville after Duncan killed the tree the town was probably named after.

What do you think would've gotten more fan artists interested? I'm talking fan art in general. The show did plenty to make Annie a MILF, so r34 artists have no excuse.

        Yeah I got no excuse.
Been in one fricked up dry spell myself since last November, but still got a few things I'd like to get tossed out there
I'll have to see what the rest of this year can bring

    >Do you think there's any chance of it being renewed, either on an online streaming service or another TV network?
"It ain't over till it's over" is a saying that still rings true. Duncanville may have been cancelled by FOX, but there's always a chance it could suddenly gain an uptick in audience engagement and be saved by a different network, or just become a Hulu original. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was saved. Tuca & Bertie was saved. So why not Duncanville?

If there was ever a time to discuss the show and stream it legally, it's now. Otherwise, you don't deserve to feel bad about the show getting shitcanned. Do your part if you actually care.

Fox is dog shit at making their shows accessible outside of the US and times other than Sunday night. In Canada there is no official way to watch at all.

Damn. See, that's also an issue. Well if you quite literally have no way to legally watch the show in your respective country, then the best you can do as a fan is to help spread the word any way you can. Discuss the show more often. Gush about Annie's ass. Make fan art. Commission fan art. Share funny clips. Whatever's possible on your end. I never see threads for this show, so clearly not enough people have cared up to this point.

I took an /aco/ request for an Annie at a glory hole. I had the hole be in their house for the sake of a pun about caulking.

First Wayne was taken from me, now Jack. Why do they make these cute dads only to take them away in the end
