The age makeup they wore in the last couple of scenes was horrendous.
Probably the biggest Oscar bait failure in the last decade.
At the first glance I thought it's Hidden Figures.
It's funnier when they pick something absolutely terrible. Pic-related is a recent example (this was the director's follow up to Movie 43).
But pic-related has my vote for the worst (most hilarious) win. I laughed during this scene in the theatre but time has since vindicated my reaction.

Because blacks hate them for being "whiteskinned" and not black, and whites hate them for, well, being black. They have two main "enemies" imprinted onto their psyche from a young age.
They lash out against whites because it is A: Allowed, and B: an attempt to gain respect from the blacks who teased and shunned them their entire childhood.

biopics shouldn't exist
Lawrence of Arabia, Mishima, and Moneyball are all good.
I think biopics need to have separate awards categories, at least for acting. Biopic actors have a clear advantage since audiences are going in already having an expectation of how their character should come across. If those expectations are met, it's an automatic success whether or not it was actually done with more skill than it takes to develop a completely original character.
